Heartlands Nursing and Care Home, in the Yardley area of Birmingham, is a well-respected nursing and care home specialising in care for people with all forms of dementia, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. The nursing and care team have years of experience in delivering high standards of care and support. Heartlands has good wheelchair access, enclosed outdoor spaces and good relationships with local GPs and other health professionals.

Heartlands Care Home is spread over three floors and registered to provide personalised, family-led care in a luxury yet homely environment, but at an affordable cost to the local community of Birmingham. The home boasts 66 en-suite bedrooms, a family room, relaxation spa, private dining room, café/bistro, cinema room and a garden room.

Residents enjoy a wide range of activities and events, led by the well-being and activities team who get to know each resident individually and support them to continue to enjoy their hobbies and interests.

My uncle has recently moved into Heartlands Care Home with relatively short notice after a period of illness in the hospital made it clear that it was not practical for him to return to his own home. The team at Heartlands were reassuringly supportive and proactive in assessing him promptly and transferring
him from the hospital, whilst keeping us updated throughout. Since his arrival, he has been provided with such care and attention that we can see he has quickly settled, and we look forward to seeing much more of him now that he is comfortable and close to us.

Since my husband has been getting care at County Court. He has gone from not being able to walk to walking again, with help from carers. They restored his confidence to walk, he kept falling and lost his confidence. I can't praise the carers enough, they are friendly and professional and bring joy to
the residents. I will wholeheartedly recommend the County Court Group. They bring dignity to dementia residents. Thank you.

It has been a lovely experience for my nan although I was sat on the phone for half an hour just to find out how my nan is and she was sitting there filing her nails, but thank you to this lovely care home.

We chose this care home for Mom because we believed it was the best one we had seen and was Mom's first choice. So we were so pleased when we were offered a room for Mom.
Since Mom has been in here, she has been looked after really well and all of the staff are so nice and work really hard.

My mom has now passed away but she ended the last 16 months of her life at Heartlands Care & Nursing Home and was very happy and content.
Every member of staff looks after Mum to a very high standard and both she and I were happy with the service, it took a lot of worry off my knowing she was safe
24 hours a day in a lovely, clean, warm, friendly environment.

Mom moved into Heartlands in September 2018, she was very well looked after with care, dignity and love, and was always kept clean and fresh.
Mom settled in very well, the staff and other residents became an extended family to her. There was no strict regime, this allowed residents to relax and completely
feel this was their home.
I don't think Mom could have moved into a better place to spend the rest of her days.
Heartlands is a modern, spacious and clean home. Bedrooms are also spacious with nice furnishings and en suite shower rooms.
My family and I would like to thank everyone for their care of Mom, who died on 20th December 2022, very peacefully and painlessly with family around her. We will always be extremely grateful to everyone at Heartlands, especially Mom's primary carers, who kept me well informed and updated on everything regarding Mom.

To whom it may concern, I must convey my sincerest praise for the care team at Heartland's care home. My mother has been treated with superb care and compassion since arriving at the home in April and at all times endeavouring to maintain her dignity.
The efforts the team went to, to entertain both
the residents and their families over the Jubilee weekend were extraordinary and we had a lovely 2 days on-site at the care home. My husband and I have gained so much peace of mind knowing she is being looked after to the level she is receiving and hence our and my mother's quality of life has improved significantly.

The care given here to the residents and their families is excellent. Any untoward medical issues are dealt with promptly and professionally while keeping the family informed. Socially the residents are well catered for with special events celebrated, eg the Jubilee. The staff are all very friendly,
welcoming and helpful.

All the Staff pulled out all the stops for entertainment over the Jubilee weekend, it must have taken months of planning alongside their normal day-to-day jobs. Well done everyone.
Mom has been at Heartlands for just over a year now and seemed to be very unsettled at first. There's a major difference
from independent living to living in a Care Home. The staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Also very good at keeping family updated on any health changes etc. I'm not saying it's perfect as things rarely are but any concerns/issues I have raised have been addressed. Keep up the good work. Care Staff are grossly undervalued........

It was a worrying moment when my mother-in-law reached the stage of needing to go into care, but we had no reason to worry because we were fortunate enough to obtain a place for her at Heartlands Care & Nursing Home and, since she moved in at the start of 2022, I find I can't, in all honesty, sing the
praises of Heartlands Care & Nursing Home loud enough to warrant what they deserve. The care and compassion they show to her is amazing, they are so patient with her. The staff are brilliant, all of them seem very committed to their positions within the home. Communication is excellent, they keep me updated with any new developments in her health and care, so I remain involved in decision making as to what is best for her wellbeing. The activities for those able to join in are well thought out, I can see from the Facebook photographs that everyone enjoys the many events organised to keep them entertained. I highly recommend Heartlands to anyone wanting loved ones to be safe and happy. My thanks to all staff.

This care home have been fabulous with our sister. She is severely disabled and they have treated her with mutual respect and care giving her new found dignity.
The Manager has really helped with the whole process and you could not ask for any more assistance and thoughtfulness in this care home.

My mom went into the care home for respite last June and remained a permanent resident The home is very friendly lovely staff and management go above and beyond with making everything run smoothly. They have a lovely choice of food and snacks plus a variety of drinks. They have activities every day
where the residents join in and seem to enjoy themselves. You're always greeted with a very happy team. You are always kept updated with what is going on with your loved ones and through all this with Covid they have done a fantastic job looking after all residents when they couldn't see their families. They should all be very proud and thank you for looking after my mom, love to all.

I remember how difficult it was deciding on a care home for Dad, relying on online reviews and being unable to look around the homes we liked due to Covid it was a really scary time.
We decided on Heartlands as the reviews were good and we were able to view pictures and a virtual tour of the home.
The Customer Relations Manager was amazing, she answered all of our questions and supported us during the settling in period for Dad which was a difficult time for all of the family.
All of the staff at Heartlands are amazing, I can honestly say over the month's Dad has been there I don’t have one complaint or concern.
To anyone going through the difficult decision of finding a care home for a loved one, I would definitely recommend Heartlands.

I cannot express how Heartlands Care Home gave my Uncle the care he needed in the last ten weeks of his life, they were caring and very supportive even when he had bad days. He enjoyed joining in with the activities which he had not done for a very long time. It was very reassuring that he was being
looked after and the staff could not have done enough for him and kept me up to date with him, through the pandemic not being able to visit and did all they could when he sadly passed away in January, the Customer Relations Manager is the best manager you could ask for.
I thank all the staff for all the kindness and care they gave, it is the best home you want your relatives to go into, it is like a luxury hotel.

Heartlands have been exceptional in their care for our Mom. All of the staff do an amazing job to care for their residents. The food is plentiful and of great quality. There are activities throughout the day for residents to join in with, should they wish. The management is quick to respond to any new
safeguarding issues which may arise and the health and happiness of the residents and support for their families always feel of paramount importance. I would highly recommend Heartlands to anyone who is seeking a top quality caring residence for a loved one.

We are extremely grateful to the management, care and administrative staff for their professionalism, compassion, care and dignity offered our beloved mother. She received excellent care from January 2019 until October 2020 when she passed away peacefully. We were kept informed when she declined, and
all staff (nurses, carers, reception and management) were sensitive and compassionate. They do an amazing job of caring for their residents, whilst working under tougher restrictions, as a result of the coronavirus. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking care for their loved ones! Fantastic team! Thank you again!

I have day-to-day reception duties, I meet and greet on reception and help our residents and their families with any enquiries they may have. I currently assists all visitors with lateral flow tests and ensure the process is as quick and smooth as possible.


I love my job because every day is different and I learn something new every day. I love being part of a team and I really enjoy getting to know and spending time with our residents.

Job Title: Activities and Well-being Coordinator

I am Activities & Well-being Coordinator at Heartlands so together with my colleague we complete two group activities per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In between these times I spend time with residents one on one, we have quite a few residents that are unable to take part in group activities so I like to ensure they are not isolated and feel part of our family. I plan future events and activities and I work closely with our CRM to go through ideas. Because I have a background in care I also assist with self-care and mealtimes.
I love my job because I feel that I can contribute towards improving the quality of life for our residents, making them smile is so rewarding. Tracy lives locally, has 3 children and loves her job. The best part of the job is the ‘butterfly moments’, precious moments with residents. I like getting residents together and seeing how socialising can change the mood for residents making them feel more positive and upbeat.
I am also a Dignity Champion for Heartlands Care Home and a Dementia Friend.
I am working towards my Diploma in Care which I will complete in July 2019.
