Neville Williams House provides nursing care and is located on a quiet road in Selly Park, very near the park itself and a short walk from the Pershore Road. It has its own 12-bed specialist dementia unit, Bluebell Walk.

The team strive to enrich the lives of residents with personalised care, ensuring that every need is met with warmth and dedication. As a charity, every penny of its profits is reinvested into BCOP's nursing homes, enabling them to continually improve, innovate, and provide exceptional care.

The home has three communal lounges, the on-site Forget-Me-Not pub, which can also be reserved for family celebrations, a pet farm, a replica train carriage used for reminiscence therapy, a hairdressing salon and laundry. All rooms are en-suite and several have been refurbished in 2020 to make them more accessible for residents using wheelchairs, creating en-suite wet rooms and repositioning electricity points to be within easy reach.

Activities are designed around the interests of individual residents. Staff ensure residents’ privacy and dignity are respected at all times and support residents to make their own decisions about their care where possible.

While my mother lived at Neville Williams House I experienced nothing but a caring and loving environment, where they had my mothers needs at heart. I could see the staff at every level were well trained and chosen for their caring qualities and friendly manner. They all had a special relationship with
their residents making each resident feel it was their home. The food was excellent. We never lost one item of clothing and the home was kept spotless. The gardens, cafe and animals gave someone with dementia somewhere to go. It was well managed and I was kept informed and involved with the decision. We were very lucky to find such a wonderful home for mum during her last very difficult 16 months. Heartfelt thanks from all the family and mum.

An elderly friend, for who I had POA, was in Neville Williams House for terminal care. She was bed bound with dementia so needed a lot of care. i was so impressed with the excellent care she received, treating her with love, care and dignity. As a nurse of 40 years it was some of the very best care
I have seen. I was also treated very well and always made welcome.

An elderly friend (with dementia) who was bed-bound after a fall spent her last few days at Neville Williams House. I am immensely impressed with the care given to my friend. All staff (whether nursing, caring or support) delivered very professional care, but it came over as very natural - more like
they were caring for a favourite relative in her own home! Staff very quickly learned my friend’s preferences and encouraged her to try things, but allowed her to say no! In short, she was treated as an individual. As a friend, the staff were friendly, professional and supportive. The atmosphere at Neville Williams is very happy - the staff clearly enjoy their work and they are well-trained. This indicates good management and training programmes.
All in all, I would have no hesitation in being cared for at Neville Williams House. I saw many nursing homes and hospices in my working life as a doctor - Neville Williams is as good as any I worked with.

We visited several care homes before a decision was made for Mum and Dad to go to Neville Williams. We visited Neville Williams six times before Mum decided to move and they were great at the home, very patient, realising this was probably one of the biggest decisions Mum would have to make. Dad has
dementia/Alzheimers and Mum is physically not good so she could no longer give Dad the care he needed. Perhaps you could have a very good box below as I rarely give an excellent, but everything at the home is better than good.

My mother has been a resident at Neville Williams House for 12 months and I would simply like to let you know what I feel about her care. I really don’t know what I could say about the place to improve it. The staff are friendly and caring, the atmosphere is welcoming and the rooms are well thought
out. Best of all though is the food. Before coming into Neville Williams my Mother struggled with her food intake - she was steadily losing weight. But the food at Neville Williams has revitalised her appetite. It’s fresh, nutritious and tasty. Watching her enjoy her fresh vegetable soup, then steadily devour her main course, followed by a fresh-baked pudding covered in cream, warms my heart. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me feel to watch my Mother enjoying her food so much. She is so much stronger than when she first arrived at Neville Williams. Special thanks to the manager for being such a great manager and to the brilliant chef for such wonderful food. Well done.

My mom moved here almost 4 weeks ago. I cannot believe the difference the care here has made. Staff are all so caring, kind and just so friendly. They are always smiling and I think this has made such a difference to my mum's quality of life. She arrived with 3 weeks to live. 4 weeks later, she smiles,
chats and can walk a little. This place is amazing! The food is incredible too.

My brother has been a resident since August 2018 and I have been very satisfied with all aspects of his care. This was reinforced this week when I personally received excellent care from ALL grades of staff when I was taken ill on my way out of the home.
Arrangements were made for me to be taken to
the A & E at the hospital. When I returned, the care to me continued. A friend who was with me was most impressed.

I wish to say that I was very fortunate to obtain a room for my late loving wife at the Neville Williams House the management team were excellent and the care staff wonderful and always so helpful. The standards at the Neville Williams house beyond reproach and in the evening my wife slipped peacefully
away. The evening nurses and carers were so kind dealing with my dear wife and myself this will never be forgotten. When I used to leave my dear wife in her bed I did think was she being looked after at night well after being looked after by evening staff all I can say that I should have never worried. Wonderful.

The moment I walked through the doors of Neville Williams I knew it was where we would want Mum to live. During her four and a half years there, they treated Mum like she was their own family.
I always knew she was in good hands, allowed me to go on holiday with peace of mind knowing she was well
cared for. Many times I would stop off to see Mum at random times, maybe even on my way home after a night out...they were always 100% welcoming of my visits regardless of the time of day. I came to think of all the staff as an extension of my family and always will do. These people go above and beyond and for this, I thank them all for making Mum's last four and a half years of her life so happy and knowing she was loved and cared for.

Neville Williams House simply can't be bettered. Complete care package meant mum was happy and relaxed throughout her time there. Every single member of staff ensured a jolly happy mum whose visitors and family were welcomed no matter when they called.
It has a garden, a petting farm and a pub and
open arms to all. Highly recommended - in fact I don't think you'll find better anywhere.

Has a welcoming feel. The staff are genuinely caring and thoughtful. A good effort is made at meal times and the food well presented.

We recently had to make the difficult decision to place Mum into residential care. An awful dilemma for many families. Mum is 88 and has dementia and sight loss.
When we heard of the wonderful work that Neville Williams House are doing in the care of dementia patients it made our decision a lot easier.
All the staff from management to domestic staff are exceptionally kind and compassionate. What a tremendous relief to know that our beloved Mum is being cared for by kind hands.
The complex is immaculate. The rooms are spotless and being allowed to bring in Mum's personal belongings made it a familiar comfort zone for her to enter.
We have been overwhelmed by the ethos behind the care. A petting farm, a sweet shop, hair salon ... endless activities and now the addition of a functioning bar!!!
We have wept a million tears during the past few months. Like many families, we were overcome with guilt and sadness. The staff have given us the opportunity to smile again. Thank you!
