Orchard House Nursing home is situated in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. The team provide Nursing Care, Palliative Care, Day Care and Respite Care for elderly residents who may require help and support with their health and social care needs.

Orchard House Nursing Home is located in a quiet residential area; however it provides easy access to all public transport services. The bedrooms vary in size and are bright and airy. Residents are welcome to bring some of their own furnishings to make the room feel more like home. They offer a secure but homely environment that ensures that all residents’ health and social well being are promoted.

Orchard House place residents at the centre of everything they do. “Care with Kindness” is the best way to describe Orchard House and their core service objective is to give residents the opportunity to enjoy a positive and quality life experience during their stay. They recognise each resident's individual values and beliefs to be of the utmost importance in planning and delivering Person Centered Care (PCC). PCC essentially recognises every individual resident as unique and it takes a holistic approach in meeting the residents’ health and social care needs incorporating Namaste, which is a programme based around the mind, body and soul. The residents themselves, as well as their families, are actively involved in this process. They use residents’ prevailing abilities and strengths positively in order for them to lead as much of an independent life as possible. My Wife was taken there for what was to be her final weeks, she passed away at the end of November. The care and service she had while she was there cannot be faulted it was comforting to know that in her final days she could not have been at a better place. I would certainly highly recommend this home.

I cannot praise the staff of this care home enough. My mother, unfortunately, has recently died, but the nursing care she received at Orchard House was excellent. The care of myself and my sister in mum's final days was also beyond what I expected. Nothing was too much for them, and they were also very
friendly and kind. Friends of mums who phoned to ask after her also were impressed with the dedication of the staff. Mum was a very independent person who did not want to go into care, but her failing health meant that it was necessary. Despite her initial feelings, mum settled in and came to have genuine affection for the carers who looked after her. Anyone who has a relative looking for a nursing home for their loved one could not do better than this excellent establishment.

I couldn't be more appreciative of the diligence and care shown by staff to my grandmother who was a resident at the home. She died peacefully at the home, in accordance with her wishes and was provided with excellent care by all the staff but in particular two RN1s and a Senior Carer who looked after
her so well. They were so sensitive in their treatment of her and us when we spent her last few days with her and couldn't have been more thoughtful.
Care homes get an awful lot of bad press sometimes and they deserve to be recognised for the great work they do.
Thank you so much for making my grandmother feel so comfortable and safe over the past few years but particularly over the last few days.
You made a difficult time that much easier for us all.
