My cousin was a resident at Parkview for many years prior to his death this year. I feel the managers and staff go above and beyond to provide the best care and support for their residents. My cousin lived a very full and happy life thanks to their considerable effort, patience and understanding.
I
wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Park View.

My experience was really pleasant and I'm so pleased with the care of my brother. I know accidents can happen (they can happen anywhere), but the care is none short of excellent and may the good care continue.
Great stuff!

I can say the management of the home is outstanding and the staff treat their residents with respect. My son has been treated well, this is the first home where my son has been able to communicate with staff and they understand him. One concern I have is that outside service providers such as his dentist,
who is fully aware of the condition of my son's teeth and that it can harm his body, yet, showing no urgency to do something to help.

We endeavour to work closely with MDT and are constantly ensuring better health and make use of advocates and best interests where possible. We have got a great response now from the dental team.

I am happy with the care my brother receives at Parkview. He has his own art area of which he sits and works and l have seen him write for the first time ever. He has one to one care and seems ti be settled at this home and treated with dignity.
I would like more regular updates on my brothers activities
and care though.

I went to celebrate my brother's 60th birthday. It was fantastic. The staff went the extra mile to make my brother feel special. I am so proud of him and extremely pleased with how he was treated and how I and my siblings were made to feel welcome.

My brother is a very challenging person with his

behaviours and I am aware that procedures have been enhanced to ensure the safety of the residents I am satisfied with the procedures currently in place and I am kept informed with updates.

Thank you and keep up the good work.

I've had strokes. If I become worse, ill and disabled I'd come and live here myself.

Every time I came to visit my brother I get a good welcome from the staff. It is always clean and the users of the service seem to be well looked after. My brother seems to be relaxed and the staff seem to know how to deal with his moods. If ever I feel something indifferent I address it and it is dealt
with straight away. I am satisfied with my brother's care.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.556)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.556) out of 10 for Parkview Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.306 for Parkview Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (20 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.306

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.25 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Parkview Nursing Home is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 8 registered maximum number of service users is 1.6, which has been reached with 3 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
