My mother has been a resident at Greenleigh Care Home for more than 12 months. I have found the home to be clean and comfortable. The lounge, dining room and bedrooms have all been refurbished and are made as homely as possible.
I am very satisfied with the standard of care she is receiving. The staff
seem to genuinely care for the residents in their charge and are very approachable and friendly.
I would recommend this home to anyone faced with having to place a loved one into long-term care.

My mum came to live at Greenleigh Care Home in April 2022. I was apprehensive about mum going into full time care but from the minute that we came into the home we were welcomed warmly, the staff came to introduce themselves to mum and they made such a fuss of her. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly
and the staff treat the residents with respect and with affection. My mum was not having a good time with her dementia and was very confused and had challenging behaviours but with the attention from the staff and other residents and with the various activities she soon got into a better routine and started to settle down. She was a poor eater which used to upset the family but now she is eating very well and looks forward to meal times. With her dementia, she doesn’t sleep well but the staff are fantastic with her. She may be up and about for hours during the night but the night staff sit and talk to her, make her a cup of tea until she is ready to settle down again. Thank you Greenleigh Care Home.

Took my father in for a week's respite. When I collected him he looked terrible, had not had a shave. His hair had not been combed and he had lost a lot of weight. My sister and niece visited him during the week and he had soiled himself and smelled awful and she had to ask them to change him. When
I got him home half his clothes were missing and they had put an old jumper in (not his) full of holes. Disgusting. He will never go in Greenleighs again.

Reply from Anne-Marie Weatherhogg, Greenleigh Manager at Greenleigh Care Home

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the week your Dad spent here, he was a lovely gentleman and seemed to enjoy his week here. I have reviewed his notes, a shave was offered daily but he declined this. I am shocked to hear of vast weight loss, he was only here a week and ate and drank well - shown on our Fluid & Diet Charts. Please provide his weight on leaving Greenleigh, I will check this against our records. What clothes are missing and I will deal with this immediately - we often have respite residents and can have problems with unlabelled clothes but had we been informed of this it would have been dealt with appropriately. Your Dad shared a wonderful Jubilee weekend with us, the family who joined us gave excellent feedback, enjoying the day with your Dad. Had I been aware of your concerns during his stay, they would have been dealt with swiftly and professionally, again I can only apologise that you felt this way.
