The atmosphere is always pleasant.
The staff are friendly and keep the family informed.
The rooms are kept tidy and clean and Dad's needs are generally well catered for.

I have had a wonderful experience from all the staff from reception, carers, nursing and management staff. Everyone has been very supportive in these difficult times with my father. The care home has its ups and downs but that's part and parcel of life. Everyone is human one can only try to do their
best. HC One Lyndon Hall has done their best in looking after dad.

Some care staff are excellent, some care staff are very idle. Summer fayre was a great success. Thanks to some staff, anything I bring to the attention of some staff it is dealt with right away. But some don't care, shouldn't be in the job. Sorry but speak as I find.

Thank you for your comments. I am aware that we have a few staff who require encouraging and managing to understand the role that they have undertaken. We are supporting them with training and guidance from more senior staff to supervise their work activities and ensure that our Residents get the best and kindest care possible.

I have had issues in the past with care but since action taken, it has improved. Uncles mood depends on staff working on that day.
Some staff are more attentive than others. Hoping new manager stays longer than previous ones as seem to change more often than service users do so no continuity.
Activities
do take place and good when do but would like to see service users go out more.
Overall I'm happier with care than I was last year.

Staff are friendly and caring and will always try to solve problems quickly.
The care and cleanliness are very good.
A few times the home has been slightly understaffed but on the whole, things run smoothly and residents are well looked after.

My mother has been in Lyndon Hall Care Home for two and a half years. Overall the care has been very good. The food and cleanliness is excellent. Mum is much the same as two and a half years ago. I would recommend Lyndon Hall to anyone.

I have found that since my mom has been here she has been looked after very well. Her age is 97 but she cannot see very well. However, I am pleased with her standard of care and also activities where possible.

Staff are friendly and approachable. My brother has changed since being here. He is happy and chats a lot more - staff have a lot of time for the residents. My son also commented on how he had changed since being at Lyndon Hall.

Whilst the carers do their best, I find that there are residents on Rose wing that need more care/attention (one to one). This takes time off the other residents. Some are too volatile to be left unattended (not enough staff to cope). Refreshment facilities poor at times (no cups). Residents can be
left unattended in the lounge. Staff do their best and are always pleasant but not enough at times, leaving not enough time to care properly. Management seem to pay more attention to unnecessary things (decorations etc), not at what really will matter, like activities where residents can get involved on a regular basis

Thank you for your feedback. Currently, there are three care staff on Rose Unit to support 19 Residents. The activity programme is under review at the moment to ensure we offer stimulating activities. The care staff have time to play a full part in this too in encouraging more activity in the unit. Cups are stored in the kitchenette area, however, if these supplies run low staff can ensure they get replenished.

My mother who was in the home for nearly 2 years and who passed recently was 95. I myself can only speak very highly of this home, my mother was very well looked after. The staff were very caring and looked after her very well. The staff on the 'Poppy' unit were one of the best.

The management of our sister was outstanding, nursing and medical care was provided by compassionate staff, her carers more than people who helped they were her friends. When visiting our sister you were always greeted with friendly faces and a friendly smile. The food was very good and served in brilliant
dining rooms. The building was constantly being kept cleaned to a high standard. Very secure and safe care.

Mum has been here for 4 weeks and has settled in well, joining in with all the activities provided. The staff seem very competent and provide mum with all her care needs. I'd be very happy to recommend Lyndon Hall to family and friends.

My mother came into Lyndon Hall on the 25/5/16. All of the family have been very happy with the care and attention mom has received. The staff have been excellent always with a smile on there face nothing to much trouble. She had her 93rd birthday on the 18th June the home did the catering and family
members were able to come and celebrate with her. All of the family have seen what an excellent home this is.

My uncle is a resident in the care home where I find the care of the people who work in the home to be excellent. I always get a good welcome and a nice cup of tea when I visit, I think the residents are well looked after.
