I came to Blossomfield Grange in January 2022 with the help of my family. It is a great place to be, it is very clean and the staff are excellent and caring. I have a very pleasant room which overlooks the garden. I take part in activities using the exercise bike, attending the gentleman's club and
joining in on whatever is going on.

My wife took residency on 28th April 2022. She was a little apprehensive at first but within a few days was happy. I see her every day and do see the sometimes difficult work the carers do. They seem to have infinite patience. I have experienced situations when I have to leave after a visit and my
wife wants to go with me, the carers have the knack of diffusing the situation. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.

I came to view Blossomfield Grange with a view to supporting my brother in the future who has dementia. When I saw the Home, met with the staff, looked at all the activities available and saw the rooms it proved to be the most appropriate place for my sister-in-law. We had no hesitation in choosing
this Home for their dedication to the needs of all the residents, for the love and concern for their emotional and physical well-being and for their support of all the family. I can see the immense difference the last few weeks have been to the overall health of my sister-in-law and I would like to thank every member of staff whoever they may be and whatever role they undertake - for their commitment, their care and their dedication to a vulnerable group of people. I visited last week and sat in the Bistro area. Each table was occupied by residents and on each table, a carer was there chatting and encouraging the residents to engage. It was amazing. Thank you all.

Unfortunately, our mother had a fall at her home, where she had been reasonably independent, last November, which has had a major effect on her mental health and mobility. Accordingly, we had to very quickly find a care home to look after her and are very happy to have found Blossomfield Grange. Our
mother has only been a resident for a month during, which time, visiting was, until recently, quite restricted. We're also due to review with staff how they think our mother has settled and coped with the very significant change in her life. Currently, we're unable to comment on all aspects of life at Blossomfield Grange. However, in the short time that our mother has been a resident, all the staff have been very welcoming, very patient with our mother and very helpful to the family. The care/support has been first class as all staff have helped our mother to settle in reasonably well and, at the same time, they have treated her with great dignity, especially as so much has changed in her life.

My father is 97 years old and until recently was living a well independently, loving life. He now needs a Residential home to care for his needs and finding the right place was of paramount importance to give him the quality of life he deserves.
Blossomfield Grange has proved to be a gem with excellent,
caring staff who have all made him and the family feel so welcome. I cannot praise highly enough.
My father is settled and enjoying life again.

In October I moved my mum into Sunrise following the death of my dad and the need to re-locate my mum closer to me. This was my first experience of needing to look into full-time care and my experience from my initial enquiry, through to viewing, the move in and the on-going care and wider provision
has been genuinely excellent All the staff are professional and demonstrate such dedication and care, making mums experience the best it can be. I'm regularly contacted with updates regarding any medical or other care related issues. Over the weeks mum has started to settle in well, the home has such a welcoming, positive and uplifting culture with excellent, well-maintained facilities. In addition, the management team are always willing to try and accommodate any personal family requests. Whilst a tough decision for me to move mum into a home, I leave after every visit knowing she is in a safe, well cared for environment.

At the end of November, I moved my aunt into the home following a deterioration in her health.
She was no longer capable of looking after herself and had become forgetful. It is early days yet and she has not yet completely settled into her new surroundings. She likes her spacious room. However, I
know that she is being well cared for that she is eating regularly and taking her medication. She likes the staff who are very polite are very patient with her and are encouraging her to join in the home’s programme of activities. She has only had one complaint to make so far and that relates to the food – she says there is too much of it!

In October I moved my Mum into Sunrise, Solihull following a deterioration in her health.
I was concerned about moving her as she has Alzheimer's which means that any kind of change is particularly difficult for her. The team at Sunrise reassured me that all Mum’s needs would be carefully monitored
and supported, and they have been totally true to their word. In a matter of weeks, she has been regaining her strength and weight. She is also engaging with other residents, which is lovely, and she’s delighted by the trips out in the minibus. It's so reassuring to know she’s in great hands and being very well cared for and to see the improvement in her general health and wellbeing as a result. The Reminiscence Unit is very well-led, and Mum’s carers take respectful and thoughtful care of all her needs. The care/nursing staff also administer her medication with great patience and care, and the weekly feedback provided to keep me updated on how Mum's doing is really helpful.

My elderly father had been taken very poorly and spent 3-weeks in hospital, then needing 24-hour care, which we couldn't offer at home. Due to Covid restrictions, it was a nightmare trying to navigate what our options were. The director of community relations at Sunrise was our saviour. She guided me
through everything with endless patience and kindness, always answering phone calls whatever time of day it was. When Dad was finally admitted to Sunrise, he absolutely loved his room and all the staff, always singing their praises. Nothing was too much trouble, anything we requested was immediately done, and everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. We were able to FaceTime any time we requested, which made a big difference being able to see and talk to Dad. It helped us all as we hadn't been able to have any contact since early January. Sadly Dad's time at Sunrise was short but, we cannot thank them enough for their help, kindness and compassion at such a difficult time. True superstars. Thank you.

My mum went into care in October 2020; she has early signs of dementia and was really getting depressed living at home. Since she has been in care, her face has started to smile again. The carers are lovely, and you can see that she is happy being around them. She tells me how good everyone is and that
there is always someone doing something; she enjoys the company of people around her. I would not have believed that she would have settled in a home in the way that she has.

My sister went to stay in Sunrise of Solihull for respite care after breaking her ankle in October and being unable to walk for a long time while it slowly healed. We live more than 200 miles apart but speak every day. She really loves living in Sunrise. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Apparently,
there are various activities every day to dip in and out of at will and great entertainment. Christmas and New Year were superb. She heaps praise on the chef(s) for the delicious meals served in the restaurant with multiple choices for every course. The staff have all gone out of their way to ensure her comfort and have helped at every stage of her rehabilitation. She says her room is lovely. She has her hair washed and styled each week, has had her nails done and hands massaged! It’ll soon be time to go home, and I know she isn’t really looking forward to going back to living alone after being part of the Sunrise “family”.

My aunt is just coming to the end of four weeks respite care with Sunrise of Solihull following a period in hospital. In that time she has shown a very marked improvement in her health and overall well-being which will hopefully hold her in good stead for her return home. Before coming to Sunrise, my
aunt was very sceptical (to say the least!) about care homes, but her concerns were immediately swept away by the welcome she received and the wonderful care she has received since. We cannot fault the service both my aunt and the family have received before and during her stay - both from a care perspective and from the managerial and administrative staff. The home itself is lovely - inside and out - and the food is fantastic, something my aunt remarks on pretty much every day. My aunt would have no hesitation in returning to Sunrise in the future and, given her previously held views, there can be no higher compliment. Thank you so much Sunrise, for everything you've done.

My mother was suddenly taken ill in France and could no longer live there alone. I contacted Sunrise and spoke to the director of community relations. She went out of her way to be helpful; we had several video calls to firstly look at the available rooms and then to make arrangements for Mum to move
in. Some of the staff also video called Mum so they wouldn't be complete strangers when she arrived. She went out of her way to ensure Mum's room would be just right for her arrival, even down to asking what treats could be bought for her. Due to flight times, we arrived late in the evening, but staff rotas had been changed to accommodate this, and Mum was greeted and settled into her new home with extreme care and kindness. Both Mum and I appreciated the flowers and chocolates from Sunrise waiting in her room, along with a lovely card. Since then, Mum has settled in very well and I am happy that she is getting the best care available. Mum is absolutely delighted with her new home. Many thanks to all the staff.

Mum initially moved to Sunrise for a month respite but felt so welcomed and safe she decided to stay.
All the staff have been amazing, looking after her with care, empathy and humour and have really made her feel at home.
When possible I would visit nearly every day and always found everything to
be very clean and well maintained and the atmosphere positive and relaxed.
Throughout the Covid crisis, the management has kept us informed, and the staff have tried so hard to keep everything as normal as possible for the residents whilst keeping them safe.
I am very grateful for the support both mum and I have received during her periods of I’ll health and the excellent care she received.
I couldn’t wish for her to be in a better place.

My mum has only been a resident since January 2020. Unfortunately, two months after she moved in the home went on lockdown due to Coronavirus. It's been a very worrying time for residents, staff and families.
Mum seems very happy in Sunrise and certainly, in the short time we were able to visit her
before lockdown the staff were very friendly and nothing to much trouble. The choice of food at mealtimes is like a hotel. Sunrise also have a great activities programme and trips out. Sadly this has all been put on hold due to the virus.
Let's hope it's not too long now for us to visit our loved ones and enjoy the social activities programme.

Sunrise of Solihull have cared very well for my mother through the difficult time of the Coronavirus pandemic. They have had to make difficult decisions and no doubt cope with complicated and sad situations. Yet, in spite of this, they have always had time for my phone calls and questions. They also
arranged for a small birthday celebration for my mother’s 95th birthday which made her day!

My mom, although reasonably fit and active, has been living with vascular dementia for a number of years and it became increasingly apparent that she required more full-time help and assistance going forward. After viewing a number of care homes in the area the family chose Sunrise as the most suitable
where she has now been a resident for the past 18 months. Initially reluctant to give up her home, she soon settled in after a few weeks with the help and support of the wonderful caring staff making some good friends with other residents along the way.
Throughout Mom's time in Sunrise we have seen a welcome marked improvement in her general health and well-being and cannot thank the manager and all her staff enough for the care and safeguards put in place during the current and difficult Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Knowing that our loved ones are in good hands with regular informative updates and the added Facetime facility has been a huge relief during this period of lockdown.

I have thirteen years of experience in the care industry, and I love being a part of the Care UK team as I share the organisation’s values and the passion to deliver outstanding, person-centred care to all residents.


Working as a General Manager at Blossomfield Grange, I always ensure that the teams in different areas of the homework collaboratively and efficiently together, and that would involve seamless communication between us and residents or family members. My favourite part of the day is my daily walk rounds, where I get the chance to see residents, and family members, and observe colleagues as they carry out their day-to-day activities. It’s a great opportunity to check in with my colleagues and ask how they are.


Outside of work, I enjoy watching football, and cricket, and I go to my local gym to keep myself fit.
