Parklands Court ensures that 24-hour assistance is available for all residents. Nursing and residential dementia care is offered, in addition to Parkinson's, palliative, respite and convalescence care.

Situated in a pleasant suburb of Bloxwich, close to all local amenities and bus stops, Parklands consists of six individual buildings each offering a high standard of care and accommodation. The home is surrounded by large landscaped gardens with furnished patio areas and a sensory garden, providing the perfect setting to relax or socialise. Residents have access to a Memory Box, reminiscence sessions and an optician, and Wifi hotspots are available within the home. A hairdresser and a cafe specially designed for residents with dementia are also available.

Whether it is a hot or cold meal residents enjoy, their tastes are catered for at Parklands. By using seasonal produce, the home guarantees an exciting and changeable menu to ensure residents receive the nutritious food they need.

Care assistants are active in engaging residents in hobbies or pastimes that they enjoy such as gardening to keep both mind and body stimulated and active. Monthly celebrations such as Mother’s day and Christmas are a highlight of the home’s busy calendar.

Every time I come to meet my nan she looks fantastic. I think my nan is in a splendid place. The staff on the house are very approachable and friendly.

The staff are dedicated and often care for, support and treat residents like their own. Activities are provided to keep residents entertained. It has been a great place to stay for rehabilitation before returning to my home. My mom was staying at Harrison House.

The activities team, especially one team member is great, she's always cheerful and bubbly. The residents need a lot more stimulation, especially during lockdown. Issues with wardrobe, missing socks or thrown away? It would be great if the activities team had more staff to do more for residents. Not
enough staff was used as a reason for not getting residents out of bed.

I have lived at Parklands Court for 2 years, I'm currently living on Harrison House. Since being on the unit my confidence has grown, I have a great relationship with the team and see them as not only my carers but my family. The care staff are brilliant at their job and always make me feel safe and
comfortable. They treat me with respect and dignity whilst also allowing me to remain as independent as possible.
The Unit Manager goes above and beyond to help me, she always makes time for me and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.

The staff are very committed, loyal, dedicated and the best not only to their jobs but to the residents, family and friends who visit, making all feel comfortable and happy to be there. It's not an easy thing to have to do when you have to put your mom into care but I made the very best decision with

Today we lost our Mum, she has been a resident of Collins House at Parklands Court for a few years now. She wasn't just a resident, she was treated and loved like family by all the staff there. I can't thank you enough for all you did for her, she loved you as much as you loved her. Mum was always treated
with respect and dignity, she was shown so much love from you all. She had many laughs and giggles with you all. I can't thank you enough for all you did for her. Forever grateful to you all.

My father was admitted to the Harrison unit for palliative care following a brief illness. During his stay, he was treated with dignity and respect and it was lovely to see that he had forged friendships with some of the staff. Noth the nurses and the carers in the unit work tirelessly yet always have
time to address concerns and provide updates for relatives. Nothing was too much trouble for my father and their care and compassion went above and beyond what would ordinarily have been expected. In short, I cannot thank them enough for making a very difficult time a little less stressful.

My Mom has been a resident at Samuel House for a few years now. I couldn't say more about the quality of the carers I have met. Mom's dementia means that she is prone to mood swings but the carers have never been less than kind and caring. They have got to know Mom so well, they know just when to intervene
and just when to leave her in peace. I have always been made to feel welcome on my visits and appreciate the facilities to be able to make us a drink as if Mom were in her own home. The last few months have been difficult for many of us but I have always known that Mom was being kept as safe as possible and the carers have assisted with my phone calls to her and talked to me directly about her health and well-being. They even found the time to make a bit of a fuss for her 90th birthday this month, it's the little things that matter! Thank you Samuel House caring team.

My father entered the care of Parklands and has since transferred across to Elmore Unit. The staff are lovely really caring and friendly and I know my father is in good hands. The lady who does entertainment has on occasion contacted me about dad which is appreciated. During Covid I have had facetime
calls and have been kept up to date with cases in the home. I have been able to drop things to dad that he needs easily, and any time I call I have been able to speak to someone including the manager over Covid concerns. I have seen dad in a VE day video which was lovely, he seems content and looks clean and tidy which is all I can ask.

My mother was resident at Parklands Court from December 2018 until May 2020 when she passed away. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. The staff were superb in organising her admission at a very difficult time for myself and my family, and very supportive and understanding, admin
staff made the paperwork process stress free.
Whenever I visited my mum I was always made welcome and I always turned up with no notice given.
Sadly my mum had little understanding of what was going on, but she was always clean, hair clean and brushed, teeth clean, nails clipped, incontinence pads clean, her bedding and room clean and tidy, and she was supported well by the staff.
When she passed away the support from the nursing home was excellent, I will always be grateful.

I would just like to say that my dad had been in Parklands Court Nursing home for four and a half years and sadly passed away 4/04/2020. The care he has received while in Elmore Ward has been second to none, I cannot speak highly enough of them. They all work very hard and go above and beyond to help
the patients, patients family and friends and each other. I live in abroad and only managed to get to the home a couple of times a year to visit my dad but it was a real help to me knowing he was in good hands. My mom visited every day and got to know the staff really well and has become friends with the majority of the day staff and will actually miss them terribly as this has been her social life for the past few years. I would happily recommend Parklands to anyone. Thank you again for all your support for my mom and dad.

My mom has been in Parklands Court for four years and is happy and well cared for. The staff on Harrison unit are genuinely loving and caring. Today was my moms birthday and because of coronavirus this was the first fine I wasn't able to be with her but the staff made it a very special day for her.
They made her a beautiful cake and arranged a wonderful face time with me so that I could share it with her. They are being completely brilliant. Thank you to all of you - you are very special people.

I find care workers very friendly and willing to help to pass a book or artwork I need as unable to reach myself. I found that there is a difference to the other two home is have been in although the staff have always been friendly and helpful. I am enjoying my stay here.

Since my husband has been in Parklands Nursing home, he has settled very well. The staff are really caring and very pleasant and friendly to the residents and families. Questions are dealt with immediately. The food is good and the activity team are excellent, in ways of motivation etc.

I am very pleased to place my wife in this home, the staff are very helpful and jolly, also the same for the management staff. The bedrooms are very spacious and clean with plenty of cupboard space. Also, there is plenty of activities i.e bingo etc. I think the home is excellent.

On first sight couldn't believe how lovely the whole place looked. Staff were great. Rooms were lovely. The lounge was just like being in own home. Can't wait to see my neighbour and friend again knowing he is safe and well looked after.
