Parklands Court ensures that 24-hour assistance is available for all residents. Nursing and residential dementia care is offered, in addition to Parkinson's, palliative, respite and convalescence care.

Situated in a pleasant suburb of Bloxwich, close to all local amenities and bus stops, Parklands consists of six individual buildings each offering a high standard of care and accommodation. The home is surrounded by large landscaped gardens with furnished patio areas and a sensory garden, providing the perfect setting to relax or socialise. Residents have access to a Memory Box, reminiscence sessions and an optician, and Wifi hotspots are available within the home. A hairdresser and a cafe specially designed for residents with dementia are also available.

Whether it is a hot or cold meal residents enjoy, their tastes are catered for at Parklands. By using seasonal produce, the home guarantees an exciting and changeable menu to ensure residents receive the nutritious food they need.

Care assistants are active in engaging residents in hobbies or pastimes that they enjoy such as gardening to keep both mind and body stimulated and active. Monthly celebrations such as Mother’s day and Christmas are a highlight of the home’s busy calendar.

The care provided is good, the food is good personal hygiene is fair, always clean shaven etc. My only complaint is with laundry and housekeeping. My husbands clothes are often mixed up with other patients and they are all clearly marked with his name on and on a few occasions his woollens have been
shrunk and clothes disappearing.

Margaret Seems well cared for and seems happy in herself. The staff all seem cheerful and friendly and treat the residents with great respect. Her bedroom is bright and airy with all personal affects displayed as we asked. We have always been impressed with the cleanliness as we arrive at all times
with no notice. The only thing we cannot comment on are activities as we haven't encountered any.

Samuel House. During the three years my mother-in-law has resided in Samuel House she has been treated and cared for in a professional, compassionate and caring manor. My mother-in-law can be, due to her dementia a very difficult and at times aggressive lady, and she has received very kind and caring
handling of every situation. We are very happy with her care and to the staff especially the unit manager who is always "on the ball" at every incident.

Mom has been resident on Samuel House since May 2014. During this time she has always been treated with dignity and respect. The unit manager is aware of the needs of all the residents and is always available to discuss any concerns. I have always been made to feel very welcome when I visit and the
staff are always there for me as well as mom. I am more than happy with the care mom receives.

Myself and my son were extremely pleased in every possible way with how my husband was treated, staff went into detail of how he was, with questions which we asked so we were satisfied. This was in complete contrast of the other place he was in, whose communication was very poor and more than once we
came away worried. This was not the case with Parklands, once again a big thank you.

Mum was severely affected by Alzheimer's and dementia which meant she was a difficult patient. She was then diagnosed with terminal cancer. At all times the care home and it's staff treated her with compassion and care. As a result her final days were managed with dignity. I always found all staff to
be professional and caring.
