Since admission Mum has been treated with respect as an individual and dignity with support from staff allowing her to be as independent as conditions allow. Each day her choice of food which she enjoys. as her relatives, my brothers and all the family are made welcome. From management to all the staff,
I could not wish for Mum to be in a better home, she is happy. So we are too.

The majority of staff were caring and thoughtful from the nurses to the cleaners.
The room was pleasant and the furniture moved around to how my friend wanted it. The food was good although sometimes the fresh water or juice was not bought in very often. He was kept very clean and comfortable.

Our mother spent the final 11 months of her life at Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit.
From her own comments, those of my sister who visited several times a week and from my own visits Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit provided first-class care thoroughly. My mum looked forward to her
meals, and my own experience with the food was excellent.
The standard of care was excellent and the care and attention as she neared the end could not have been better.

Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit lived up to and exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Mum had a lovely, well equipped and furnished room but still had space for her favourite belongings. She really enjoyed the excellent food and the residents' activities, particularly the quizzes and bingo.
We were always impressed by the friendliness and patience of all the staff and their willingness to help whatever the request.
During her illness, the kindness and care she received were excellent, and we were kept fully informed of what was happening to her, with opportunities given for us to spend time with her as the need arose. As her condition gradually deteriorated the staff prepared us, her family, well and sensitively with what to expect as the situation progressed. This was so much appreciated. Thank you.
Through her final few days, even considering the limitations imposed by Covid, they did their utmost to let us spend time with Mum and as well as caring for her, they help all of us, her children through the most difficult time too. In addition during the long visits with Mum at that time, their thoughtfulness in providing us with refreshments were so much appreciated and so helpful.

My seriously ill father joined the nursing home in May 2021 and died in November 2021. For the whole time, he received exceptional care, both in terms of health and general well-being. All the staff who met him were caring, courteous and took time to get to know him; he was a valued individual. Also,
it was clear that the ethos of the home was to listen to patients and to ensure continued communication with the family. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole family will be eternally grateful to the staff of Herons Park Nursing Home.

I recently spent 2 weeks respite at Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit. It was my first time in respite and I was understandably anxious about how it would be. I am delighted to say that from the moment I arrived I felt very well cared for by all staff from the managing staff downwards. There
was a very high standard of patient care. Despite having advanced Parkinsons and many other problems I was able to enjoy my stay and really appreciated the time the staff spent with me and the other residents. I will certainly be returning, the food was excellent. thank you to the lovely staff.

Herons are by far the best nursing home. This is not just my assessment; everyone I have spoken with says the same.      
The healthcare staff go above and beyond to take care of residents' wants or needs. My mother is comfortable and extremely well looked after; I have no concerns about the care she is
receiving.
Nurses are on duty 24/7 who take a very proactive role when someone is unwell. We get an immediate phone call and follow up calls to keep us fully informed. If I call to inquire about my mother, whoever I speak with will take the time to give a thorough explanation and encourage me to call anytime if I have a concern.      
Recently - starting after the first Covid lockdown last year - I had some wifi communication issues with my mother. The staff really went the extra mile to solve the issue and everyone is always very helpful and very responsive.

My husband was admitted to Herons Park after a hospital stay after a fall. He was happy, comfortable and nursed extremely well. He was very impressed with the food and he loved the carers. Unfortunately his health deteriorated and he was deemed end of life. His cancer and dementia took over. He was
cared for by the nurses and carers outstandingly, nothing was too much trouble for him or us as his family, we are very grateful to all at the home.

Mom wasn't with you for very long, however, from the minute she arrived the care she received was amazing.
She was treated with dignity and respect. Everyone at this home holds the same values, you treated Mom like she was your own.
When it came time for Mom to rest, you showed myself and my sister
the same care and respect which was so important at such an difficult time.
You are all so special we can not thank you enough.

We, as a family were very fortunate to have our mother placed in this lovely nursing home. The care, dignity, compassion and love the staff showed to Mom from day one was second to none. Especially during the last few days of her life, all staff went that extra mile to support us as a family whilst

From the minute I spoke to the manager I felt reassured Herons Park was the right choice, then after speaking to another lady, I was as happy as you can be when arranging for your mother to go into care. Although she was with them for such a short time, the love and care she received, was 5-stars. Everyone
went above and beyond to help Mum; she became herself for a short while, relaxed and laughing every day on the phone. Also, at the end, they were so lovely to me and brother.

My father passed away at the home in April 2020. He had lived there for 3 and a 1/2 years, requiring substantial assistance throughout that time. Whenever my wife and I visited the staff were friendly and helpful. Wary of possible problems with Homes we asked my father how he was getting on. How his
carers were, how the food was, whether he was engaging in activities, whether he had any concerns. The simple answer was that he was well looked after. Any (very minor and rare) disagreements with a carer were immediately flagged up by management and dealt with appropriately. I was also contacted whenever there was any need for medication and, finally, after his death. All such contact was professional and caring. My father was fortunate to have found this Home.
