Herons Park Nursing Home & Dementia Unit is an established home with a good local reputation situated in a parkland setting.

The main home, which has been extensively refurbished and upgraded, has a new build separate dementia unit that was previously awarded Gold accreditation by the DSDC (Dementia Services Development Centre).

The Home's facilities include a small hairdressing salon, beauty treatments available on request, free bar drinks from the bar, WiFi, a range of activities including outings/day trips as well as a variety of entertainers and freshly prepared, locally sourced food.

The home has a team of specialist nursing and care staff that deliver nursing and dementia care to the highest standard.

My late mother was looked after at Herons Park. The staff were very attentive and her room was alway clean. The food was very good and she had various activities to keep her entertained. In her last hours, I could not praise the staff/home more for the care they gave her and us. This home in my consideration
warrants the best of marks. 5 stars.

Unfortunately, my grandad has only been in Herons Park for a very short period of time however, the care he received at this time has been outstanding in every way! Our family has been made so welcome at all hours of the day, nothing is too much trouble. We can not thank all the staff enough for their
support for both grandad and us and the hospitality and the genuine care they offer residents and families. We wish dad/grandad would have had more opportunity to appreciate the staff, food, activities and atmosphere of Herons Park.

My Mum came to this nursing home for palliative care. The staff and the care residents receive is/are excellent. My mum passed away with dignity. She was comfortable and pain-free, which is all you can ask for. She loved the carers and nurses. They were so kind to her and nothing was too much trouble.
Also, myself and my family were made most welcome.

Heron's Park nursing home is a wonderful well run home, excellent quality to care and dignity. We could not have wished for a better or nicer home for mom to live and enjoy the last 18 months of her life. End of life care by staff was second to none. Compassionate, dignified, caring and peaceful for
mom and her family.
