My aunt always looks clean and tidy as does her room. She is clearly well looked after. The staff are very friendly and helpful and on one visit we were settled into the garden under the shade of a tree with a jug of water and glasses (plastic!). They are always prepared to go the extra mile. Thank
goodness it's a comfort.

We were very impressed by the care and support that my mother received during the 6-weeks that she was at Brindley Manor. Everyone we met seemed to have an excellent attitude towards the resident's needs.

A very good family friend is currently having 2 weeks of respite care with Brindley Manor. The care they provide is outstanding. They definitely go above and beyond for the individuals they look after. The meals that are supplied are great and consist of plenty of choices. Activities offer a wide selection
of variety so there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

My mother was brought in on an urgent respite in June. At the time she was very poorly and distressed after numerous hospital visits. I have seen first hand the increased comfort and relaxed state in her after some weeks of very detailed, compassionate care at Brindley Manor. The staff and nurses are
all professional and magnificent. Thank you.

Staff at all levels are caring and sympathetic towards patients and relatives.
Covid rules are followed very strictly.
Reception staff know me by name and are always helpful when arranging my visits and facilitating the check-in procedure.

Mom was here for the whole of July, respite care. We found the home to have big open spaces and wide corridors. It looked like most of the furnishings were fairly new. Mom had a lovely big room. On the whole, the place looked spotless. I believe it has recently changed names and management. The Manager
was lovely and always available if we needed to speak with her. Another member of staff also was so helpful and very friendly nothing was too much trouble including listing to all my worries about having my mom in a care home. This was our 1st experience. The lead nurse was very efficient and I felt any medical problems were dealt with effectively I really felt like the staff cared about my mom and had her best interests. Visiting was easy as long as we were tested and wore PPE. Overall my mom seemed very happy with her care and her one and only complaint was a weak cup of tea so if that's her only worry in four weeks we knew Blindly Manor was a good and safe place to stay.

Mum has been a resident at the home for several years. The staff are friendly and caring, when visiting I always feel welcome. The nursing staff discuss mum's health and wellbeing with me, her carers are sensitive to her needs and patient. Earlier this year Springview Healthcare became the new owner
of the home, briefing relatives before the change, offering reassurance and an opportunity for us to ask questions. Management of the home is improving and the new owners are refreshing the decor which feels homely and comfortable.

I have found over the last few weeks the care and help the care staff also management have cared for my sister om a very dignified and caring manner for which I have to thank them all most sincerely. The nurses, carers, management all are a dedicated team. A very difficult time but gratefully helped

My stepfather was a resident at this home for four and a half years, up until June 2021
he was not mobile so needed a lot of attention. He was very well cared for, staff were excellent in their care and interaction with him.
He ate well and the menu was varied, good quality and he certainly enjoyed
mealtimes. His room was always spotless and there was always someone constantly cleaning. The facilities were really good and the atmosphere was quiet relaxed and easy going.
If I was going to highlight anything it would be the staff, many of which greeted me and made a point of seeing if I was okay and asked if I needed anything during visits, and updating me on how he was and what he was doing (activities etc).

My father has been a resident at Brindley Manor (formally St Johns) for 3 years.
The nurses are excellent as are the carers who look after my Fathers day to day needs.
Although I have been very pleased with the care he has received throughout his time there, lately, I feel that generally, things within
the home have improved.
There are more permanent staff instead of agency which I think is important for continuity of care.
There is maintenance/decorating work being carried out throughout the home to improve the appearance which is probably a little overdue as the rooms were looking a little tired.
The new management always makes a point of asking if we are happy with the care and facilities provided and are always approachable with any comments or suggestions.

My wife has dementia and is bedbound and is confined to her room which is quite comfortable having an ensuite with a shower which she enjoys, the carers taking her there with a hoist. The room during both hot and cold weather is kept at a comfortable temperature.
I have found the staff are caring,
helpful and courteous being very patient with my wife who is extremely hard of hearing. They work hard to ensure my wife's safety and comfort.

I have found that since the home has been taken over that communication has improved. I work full-time so it can be hard to check on my mum. However, Brindley Manor staff have been in regular contact with me about mum. A big thank you for that. The staff are friendly and positive about mum!

Jensy Paul

Job Title: Registered Manager

Jensy is the Registered Manager of Brindley Manor Nursing Home and is also a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of clinical experience. Previously she was the Deputy Manager of Grosvenor House Nursing Home which won care home.co.uk's prestigious award for Top 20 Best Nursing Home in the West Midlands for 5 years under her leadership.


Her experience and skills are essential to achieving our number 1 priority: that Brindley Manor Nursing Home is a place where we would want our own parents or grandparents to live. Jensy is passionate about providing high-quality care for our Residents and continually improving the services we offer.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Mariamma started at Brindley Manor Nursing Home as a Nurse then became the Clinical Lead and most recently we were delighted to announce her appointment as the Deputy Manager. She has a wealth of nursing experience and her calm and caring manner in addition to her leadership skills mean she is a key member of the Brindley Manor team. She is a big part of our drive to continually improve and provide the highest quality of care to our Residents and improve clinical standards.

Blaise is an integral part of the Brindley Manor Nursing Home team providing activities for all our Residents based on their needs and personal wishes. It really is heartwarming to see residents respond so positively and happily to her patience and kindness as well as the activities she puts on. For example, her "Therapy" Pony has been an excellent addition to the home!

I enjoy my job. I like devising new dishes and menus. I get great satisfaction out of seeing our residents enjoy their food with lots of flavour, texture, etc. and introducing residents to dishes that they may not have tried before.


It's nice being part of a team where we all look out for each other. And can work whilst being able to laugh, which in turn makes Brindley Manor a more relaxed, happy and calm home for the residents.

Mel's official title is "Handyman" but he is in many ways so much more! Mel makes sure the home is safe and is on hand to fix any issues. Residents and family will also interact with him as he loves to help with adding touches to Resident rooms so they become more personal spaces and more like a home away from home. That could be pictured on the walls or fitting a new TV! He is wonderfully cheerful with a lovely sense of humour that the Residents and Staff all appreciate.
