It is extremely disappointing when a review of this nature is posted prior to any attempt to speak with the home and get full clarity of fact on the events. Having reviewed all care notes for the weekend I can see that the resident exercised her right to refuse intervention but made full benefit of the nutrition and hydration offered.
Residential care does not provide nursing intervention or nursing care, residents are independent in many aspects. Residents are able to refuse intervention from staff - this maintains dignity and choice. Additionally, you were given the opportunity to cancel your booking due to the immediate and unforeseen restrictions of covid we were met with, you chose to continue with your break away.
