Pirton Grange is a specialist nursing home providing care for people over the age of 18 with a range of neurological conditions, including dementia, Korsakoff’s syndrome, Huntington’s Disease & Acquired Brain Injury. The team are also able to support people with physical health needs, forensic histories and those whose behaviour may challenge.
With a CQC rating of Good (June 2023), the home boasts a caring and supportive home environment with round the clock clinical care and support. The team are expertly trained, specialising in a person-centred approach, ensuring they meet the needs of each person they care for.
Made up of two settings, The Orchard and Pirton House, Pirton Grange has been carefully designed to account for the unique needs of each individual and offer opportunities to socialise and live as independently as possible.
The Orchard has four units with separate bedrooms each with an ensuite toilet. Residents in each unit also benefit from communal bathrooms and lounges where they can relax and socialise. Within The Orchard, The Elgar unit provides a self-contained setting for men who present behaviours that may challenge.
Pirton House has a self-contained kitchen and communal lounge, with ensuite bedrooms accessible by lift for those who require it. Their extensive gardens have a vegetable patch, courtyard, sensory garden and a donkey which everyone loves to visit.
Clinical care is provided by Registered General and Mental Health Nurses, alongside a Paramedic, Physiotherapist and Support Workers. The service also has a designated Activities Coordinator, providing a stimulating environment to meet emotional, social, physical & intellectual needs.
They offer a core model of support alongside 1:1/2:1 support. Care is aimed at supporting individuals with long-term health and medical conditions which require clinical monitoring and support to ensure safe, personalised and responsive care.
