My Mum has been living at Rashwood since January 2020. She was immediately made to feel welcome and to our surprise, she decided that she wanted to stay. For many years before she had struggled at home and I think the care and activities at Rashwood made her realise she could relax and enjoy being looked
after.
Mum made some friends and loved the music and other activities put on by the home. It is down to the strict isolation and care that has allowed Rashwood residents to survive the COVID 19 pandemic. Although Mum has missed the social interaction during this time the carers have been very kind and Mum has told me how she gets on well with all the caring staff.
I can thoroughly recommend this home as it has a family feel, good food according to Mum and lovely grounds with a resident peacock. Thank you Rashwood for keeping Mum safe and content.

My grandad spent time in Rashwood for respite following a knee replacement. Unfortunately during that period of time my nan also died. The care and compassion that everybody there showed to my grandad and the family was exceptional. He couldn't have been in a better place at such an upsetting time.
I cannot thank everybody enough, from the reception staff, cleaners, handyman, health care assistants, nurses and entertainment staff. You all do an incredible job.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Rashwood at least weekly for over three years. The care at all levels is excellent including the extras such as entertainment and hairdressers. The staff keep you informed and are quick to respond when there is sudden deterioration. I would thoroughly recommend the
nursing care.

My mother moved into Rashwood Care Home residential wing in May 2018. We were very pleased with the overall impression and its excellent grounds. Unfortunately, for her own health reasons, she was unable to take full advantage of the range of activities or fully use the available facilities. Following
a stroke, she moved into the nursing wing until her death a week later. It was at that point that the care and support became excellent. I cannot praise the staff enough for the support they gave me at such a difficult time.

As you enter Rashwood Care Home there is always much happiness amongst staff and are always ready to be of assistance if needed. The care and kindness given to residents is excellent and they are treated with dignity. Rooms are bright and always clean. The food which has a very good selective menu and
caters for all needs well presented and could not be better. There are various activities for residents and outings which are enjoyed. The standard of care and nursing is all you could wish for.

My mother has been in this excellent nursing home since the beginning of December 2017. Every member of staff deserves a mention, the care she has received is first class.
They are very professional in everything they undertake and do it with empathy and respect.
I feel blessed that my mum, who deserves

Rashwood has exceeded all expectations. It was a worry finding the right place owing to the complexity of the needs, but I’m delighted.


The nursing staff are skilled and knowledgeable. The carers are helpful, kind, and answer promptly when needed. The cleaners are thorough, the food is lovely, the

managerial and administrative teams are very professional. The grounds and buildings are pristine and the social staff and activities are the bonus I’d never realised we needed. Everyone is friendly and goes the extra mile to ensure mum is safe, cared for and happy.

This is a most beautiful care home set in wonderful countryside. My mother has been in Rashwood Care Home for six weeks.
The nursing and carers have been simply superb keeping us informed at all times of doctors visits, medicines etc. The food is excellent, nutritious and very well present. The rooms
are all beautifully furnished and immaculate at all times.
The manager and her staff should be very proud of their nursing home. There is also quite a lot of events arranged daily. I would not hesitate in recommending Rashwood Care Home.

We looked at a lot of nursing homes before choosing Rashwood Care Home for our dear dad's end of life care. He was there for 10 months and I feel he couldn't have been happier, better cared for or more loved by such a dedicated staff in this last stage of his life.
I can't ever thank all the staff
enough nurses, carers and all the other people who's hard work contribute to make it such a pleasant, comfortable and caring environment. I felt nothing was ever too much trouble. I am particularly grateful for their support to make dads last few difficult weeks comfortable and pain fress and their support of us as a family too.
It's the little things that matter that add up to make a very big difference.

My father in law was a resident at Rashwood Care Home from December 2016 until October 2017.


During this time he was lovingly cared for both by the nursing staff and carers.


I cannot praise highly enough the devotion of all the staff to caring for my father in law throughout his stay and I will

be eternally grateful to the entire staff.

The staff at Rashwood are always kind and affectionate towards my mum. There is always a lovely atmosphere, and although it took a while, my mum now thinks of it as her home.


The entertainment is well planned and the food is excellent.

My husband has been living at Rashwood Nursing Home for five years. He has always been treated with respect and they preserve his dignity. He was recently very ill and almost died. During all of this, the staff were really caring to my husband and especially to me. The care he receives is excellent.
Staff are very friendly but professional at all times.


I would recommend them to anyone. Anyone who comes to Rashwood could not get better care anywhere else.

Excellent care from all aspects our wishes were respected and my mothers were taken into account on every level. The staff were always so friendly and caring, sadly my mother was too ill to participate in activities but the atmosphere is delightful. I would recommend Rashwood Care Home on every aspect.

Catherine

Catherine Lines

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2024

Catherine trained as a Registered Nurse at the Bristol and Weston School of Nursing which led to a career in nursing spanning cardiac intensive care and a range of surgical specialities culminating in a Surgical Modern Matron position. Catherine led the Bristol Hospital’s International Recruitment and Education Programme which brought her acute nursing experience into senior healthcare management.


In 2005, Catherine moved from the NHS to the role of Director of Tetbury Hospital, an independent charitable community hospital in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. She transferred this experience to health and social care, as the General Manager for The Cotswold Home achieving a CQC Outstanding rating. Catherine then completed two years as Clinical Director overseeing the delivery of care and compliance across Elizabeth Finn Homes.


Catherine has now taken up the role of General Manager for Rashwood. In her own words, “I missed the home environment and the camaraderie of a close-knit community of staff, families and residents. As General Manager of Rashwood, I am most looking forward to getting to know our wonderful residents and to welcoming new ones. I have so many plans for this fabulous home and working with the local community in Droitwich”.
