A pleasant experience I was given time (an hour) with the manager who gave me her full attention and listened to all my comments, concerns and suggestions. These were all accurately reflected in the report. I hope that requests will be acted on without the need for reminders from me.

The most important factor in this review is my mother and she is looked after with care, compassion and dignity. The atmosphere at the home very friendly and warm. The rooms are comfortable and attractive and the visitors are made very welcome. On rare occasions, I've made a negative observation it
has been received with grace and acted upon. The home manager always has time for discussion between myself and my mother and she has been extremely helpful with sound advice and keeping things rolling.

I have always found the staff to be pleasant, friendly and very helpful together with the right amount of empathy.
The home is not institutionalised and has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
The level of upkeep and cleanliness is excellent and the meals are very good indeed.

Thank you to all the staff who cared so wonderfully for my relative. Also to the member of staff on reception - the welcoming smile and helpful attention on every visit.
My relative was comfortable, safe and nursed as well as ever possible in her final year of life.

From when dad arrived at 'The Grange' the care, transition and kindness shown by the manager, nurses and care staff was quite overwhelming. Nothing, and I mean nothing was too much trouble. Dad is away always clean, shaved and has clean clothes on daily. Meals catered for all ages and the menu held
a lot of variety. Drinks were constant. Dad has his own personal room, and we were told to take any belongings from his home to make him feel at home, what more could you ask for!!!

I judge the quality of the care home mainly by the quality of the staff. At Oldbury, they are well qualified, conscientious and very considerate of the needs of the patients. The food is exceptionally good, being well prepared and professionally administered where necessary. It is quite hard to get
good entertainment in Bridgnorth, nevertheless, a good standard is maintained throughout the year. Visitors' requests are invariably granted, eg being allowed to take a resident out on to the patio. Regular resident reviews are held and information about their medication is always available. The care home manager is frequently about and is always happy to discuss any problems.

My mother has advanced dementia and has been a resident in Oldbury Grange for 6 months. Her room is excellent and always kept very clean. The staff are all very caring and treat her with patience and kindness. I am given a programme every month so I know what activities she is involved in and she is
encouraged to take part as far as she is able. The food is good and she enjoys her meals.

My father moved to Oldbury Grange when his previous home closed. He had been in the previous home for 2 years. Initially, I was very concerned because the care homes were so different, the last home had 14 residents, Oldbury Grange has about 100 I would think. There was no need to worry, he has all
of his needs catered for. He is 97 with dementia and totally immobile. The care he receives is second to none and the nurses and carers are very kind and caring.

The staff at this home have a genuine care and knowledge of all residents. There is a warmth that radiates out from all within the home and it is evident that the caring culture runs throughout the home and the company. We couldn't ask for a better home to care for our father's well-being and needs.

My husband and I visited from France, our country of residence, on Monday 27th June for approximately 50 minutes. My Uncle has been resident at Oldbury Grange for some time (approx 12-18 months). This is the first review I have had time to complete. On our most recent visit, care and support for him
and ourselves was first class during our time with him. We, as ever, were treated (all of us) with compassion, dignity and respect. He was very clean and tidy. His en-suite bathroom however was dirty - soiled wc, which is unacceptable and was brought to the immediate attention of a member of the care team. Hopefully prompt action taken. Clearly no idea if this is a one-off. Finally thanks to the registered nurse I sought out for a concise and clear update on his health and well-being. Much appreciated!

After visiting 8 quality nursing homes in the area we arrived at Oldbury Grange and knew at our first visit, this was the one. Our first contact with the reception admin was so warm and comforting to help us deal with a difficult situation. Then we met with the nursing team; as a registered nurse, I
can testify that the standard of nursing care from every member of the team was exceptional.
My dad has a terminal illness; the professionalism, love, concern and support to not only my dad but to all of our family made his final months as happy, safe, comfortable and as pain free as possible. This also was evident in interactions we witnessed with other residents. The care was my priority but it just happens the home is situated overlooking beautiful rolling hills. Facility is very clean and bright.

A beautiful home in a wonderful setting with countryside views. Initial meeting confirmed we had finally found the perfect place for end of life care for dad, from the well informed receptionist who showed us the well appointed rooms. Everywhere was clean, bright and didn't smell. Quite spacious communal
areas, where everyone was encouraged to take part or just watch activities. There was no one just sitting around the TV - a septate area.


All the staff from the kitchen staff, housekeeping and nursing greeted us with a friendly 'hello' and you could see how everyone cared for the residents as individuals who had their own needs.


The food was excellent with a varied menu, which catered for each step of dads needs. Housekeeping was very thorough, cleaning was of a high standard, every resident in clean clothes everyday. Personal Hygiene was treated in a dignified manner.


Residents in nursing care - doors were left open to include them in the home. Alarms were answered on time, always enough staff around to sit and spent time with the residents.
Nursing - each step of dads care was discussed with us, we were advised and always made aware of what was happening.
At all times dad was treated with respect, dignity, and with loving care in a professional manner. We can't recommend the nursing home highly enough. There wasn't any area we felt that could be improved upon - it exceeded our expectation.

I came to stay in Oldbury Grange for 2 weeks respite care following a knee replacement operation on Nov 9th. I was very impressed with the nursing and general care given to me by all the staff during my stay. Everyone I came into contact with were always so pleasant and caring about my welfare. I also
noticed the care given to the other residents in the nursing home was of a very high standard.

My mother had been in hospital for 4 months prior to arriving at Oldbury and with their help she was able to move back into her own home after 4 months.
Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful and I am convinced that if my mother had gone to another home she may not be as well as she
is today.
Visitors are made to feel involved and welcome too and it was a pleasure to visit.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I aim to support and develop the team at Oldbury Grange and help them to reach their goals and provide residents with the best quality care.


I have enjoyed working in the healthcare sector for nine years, starting as a registered nurse in a complex care setting and also working with people living with Dementia, mental health conditions and in palliative care.


In my various roles as a registered nurse, unit manager, clinical project manager and also in compliance roles, I have gained several qualifications along the way, including Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
