Radbrook Nursing Home is a highly reputable, purpose-built Nursing Home conveniently situated in a peaceful residential area of Radbrook, Shrewsbury.

Opened in 1991, it was Morris Care’s first Home and today offers both long and short stay for elderly residents as well as respite care, post-operative rehabilitation and palliative care.

The home has 59 bedrooms, five spacious living rooms and sitting areas and a sociable dining room. Each space is carefully designed to deliver first-rate nursing care in a relaxed environment that is a real home from home. All communal spaces are located close to residents’ bedrooms, allowing easy access and comfortable living.

I spent 10 days in Radbrook recovering from an operation. It was clean and tidy and had all the facilities I needed. I found all the staff to be attentive and delightfully friendly. If someone needs a care home then it is the place to go.

Our daughter has been a resident at Radbrook Nursing Home since May 2017, during this time we feel that her considerable care needs have been met by staff who seem to be well qualified and capable.

We moved mother into Radbrook towards the end of 2020 as we had had previous experience of the care shown at Radbrook during her sister's brief stay the year before. Mom settled in very well and I have been very impressed by the care, kindness, and consideration shown both to her and myself by the staff.
I am also delighted that the residents are kept fully occupied and engaged throughout the day by designated staff.

My mother was admitted in November 2020. We chose Radbrook Nursing Home as my aunt spent some respite here a year before. Then and now we have found the staff to be approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. The building is welcoming, clean and warm. I have not answered a couple of the boxes due to a
change in management and limitations due to Covid-19. Our mother looks happy and is always well dressed and clean. We no longer worry about her care as we know it is all catered for.

Our Mother was in hospital. We rang the Care Home, as we did not want our Mum to spend her last days in a ward but did not know of other alternatives. The manager helped us whilst our Mum was in hospital, giving us support and advice. He was a lifeline to us both (Myself and my Sister) at a very upsetting
time - both whilst in the hospital and after Mum was moved to Radbrook. Nothing was too much trouble. The care provided by all the staff at Radbrook was outstanding - as was the compassion shown to us. As Mum was on the end of life care, we were able to visit her (one at a time and with sensible precautions). This was so important to us and enabled us to be with our Mum in her last days and hours. The room was lovely and peaceful and Mum was looked after so well. We are eternally grateful to this outstanding team for their strength and compassion, particularly in such difficult times. They should be very proud of themselves - as are we. Thank you all so very much.

As a family, we face a very difficult situation when our beloved mum broke her hip and needed to move into a nursing home during the pandemic. We will be eternally grateful to the management at Radbrook for helping us and ensuring our mum had the very best care possible at this time. Despite their own
workload, they went above and beyond to help us. The care mum has received has been outstanding. The social life coordinators have also time and again gone the extra mile to keep us connected.

The staff at Radbrook arranged for me to visit my mother on the 75th anniversary of VE Day, during the Covid pandemic. The pandemic protocol was excellently arranged (mum in the foyer and me outside) and dignified as Mum and I enjoyed our first meeting in exactly two months.
I could see through the
glass that the staff were dressed in Forties-style costume to mark the day and were obviously intent on making the day a stimulating and fun one for the residents.
I can honestly say it was one of the happiest memories of my lockdown experience. That there are men and women who are so enthusiastic in caring for our mother is hugely humbling for my brother and I.
Care homes sometimes suffer a bad press, Radbrook is in a different league. It’s first and foremost a home. Mum - and her family - would be lost without what it does.

I'm March 2019, I moved my mother from another nursing home in Shrewsbury to Radbrook Nursing Home. My reason for doing this was that I was unhappy with the standard of care that she had been receiving in her previous home. Throughout the process of the move, I found the management and staff at Radbrook
extremely helpful and supportive. Since my mother's arrival at Radbrook, I have found all members of staff to be very friendly, caring, supportive and professional when carrying out their duties. They are always happy to listen and act on any concerns I have. The staff also contact me regarding any concerns that they have in respect of my mother. Since her move, my mother has been far happier, and so have I, knowing my mother is in safe hands.

My mother receives excellent care from Radbrook. She suffers from dementia and is immobile. She is treated with respect and dignity. Her safety is of no concern to me as all the security systems are in place.
I have and will continue to recommend Radbrook to those needing nursing home care.
