My aunt was transferred from Shrewsbury hospital as she is currently not safe to return home. The staff are all friendly, kind and hard-working. There is a very nice atmosphere, which is invaluable and I would highly recommend them.

To quote my mother-in-law, she is “very happy here” and has “settled in very well”. She enjoys talking to other residents, the delicious meals, taking part in all the varied activities and the high standard of care. When her brother and nephew whom she hadn’t seen for years arrived at lunchtime, she
was very impressed by the trouble taken to make the visit go as smoothly as possible. My husband and myself are very satisfied with all aspects of the care at The Sandford.

My mother was well cared for. All the staff were caring and friendly and treated her with dignity and respect.
As a family, we were grateful for the high standard of care given.
The only time we had concerns were when, on a couple of occasions, the call buzzer had been left in a position which would
have been fine for most people but which was not appropriate for my mother as she could not reach it due to her very poor mobility.

The Sandford looked after both my parents at the end of their lives. Dad died in 2017 and Mum died in January 2019. The standard of care was excellent in every way. They were provided with plenty of food and drink and a daily choice of what to have.
If they wanted something extra, the staff did their
best to provide it.
The standard of cleanliness was always good and the staff made them feel as comfortable as possible. After Dad died the staff were extremely supportive towards Mum, even after she developed increasing problems with dementia. She could be difficult but the staff handled it well. In her final days, the family were unable to be with her, and I will always be grateful that the staff on duty took turns to sit with her until she died. I will never forget that kindness.

We visited my great uncle today who has been a resident of The Sandford Nursing Home for over 8 years and as on previous visits were again struck by the caring, friendly attitude that the staff have towards the residents and this is extended to guests. They take their time with the residents and show
genuine interest. My great uncle cannot praise the staff enough and quite rightly, they deserve praise. I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to ALL the staff both personally and on his behalf.
