St George’s Park Nursing Home offers exceptional nursing, palliative and specialist dementia care to residents from across the West Midlands.

The home is located within the peaceful residential area of St. George’s, but is also close to the popular town of Telford with a bustling high street and many nearby amenities, many of which can be easily accessed as St. George’s Park is on the local bus route.

The 2 individual units within the home are split across 2 very specialised floors, ensuring that every resident receives the exact level of high quality care they require 24hrs/day, regardless of how specific their needs are. St. George’s Park has a real person-centred approach and the dedicated care team support individuality, allowing each resident to achieve their potential and enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.

Accommodation throughout the home is luxurious yet practical, with care having been taken to make the individual bedrooms, and the communal areas, comfortable, appealing and stimulating. To ensure that residents feel at home and settled they are also encouraged to bring items of furniture and treasured possessions to personalise their surroundings.

St. George’s Park has a very welcoming atmosphere and friends and family often join in with the host of in-house activities which have been designed to cater for existing hobbies and interests – and to stimulate some new ones too. There are well-established links with the local community and the home often receives visits and concerts from the neighbouring schoolchildren and services from the local churches for those who want to join in.

Flexibility with meal types, sizes and even the location where they are eaten means that the home can allow for the wishes and dietary needs of every individual, regardless of their condition. My mum sadly passed away at the end of November 2022, this was so unexpected by ourselves and the staff at St Georges Park.
All staff members are amazing and dedicated to their job, at the time of our loss everyone in the home gave my dad and I comfort and much-needed support.
We spent three years
visiting Mum on a daily basis and every visit was a pleasure, a loving warm welcome as soon as we walked through the door.
St Georges Park Care Home has become part of our family.
We cannot thank you enough for the love and care, Mum, Dad, myself, family and friends have received.

I was initially concerned about a rushed placement to St Georges and worried that my brother may fall and break his hip again. However, people all managed carefully, and difficulties between residents do not result in harm, as situations are avoided or defused. Staff are sensitive towards my brother
and understand his "collecting" behaviour. They are also patient with his fear of personal care and his personal space in his room. My brother loves his room and has settled very well. I have been very welcome and enjoyed doing activities with my brother. The nurses are nothing short of heroes for managing my brother's diabetes, which is hard to stabilize. Thank you!

The staff are inattentive as residents are not checked on a regular basis as I found other residents sleeping in my wife’s bed in her room. Also, the room had not been cleaned for several weeks as I found rotting food in her bin that had been there for seven days and I had to report it to staff and
check the following day it had been removed. The door would not latch shut and in the visiting room, the window safety wire had the PVC covering worn away and the steel wires were sticking out which could injure the residents. Many of my wife’s items went missing and they lost three pairs of glasses of which I had to replace at a great cost to a pensioner. They give the impression they are caring when they are not as when I tried to claim for the lost glasses they stated that in their contract they are not liable for anything so in that case if you need to have someone go there, send them in with nothing.

During the time referenced Covid19 was only enabling visits in our outdoor specifically constructed pods, which were built to a very high standard.
Furthermore, your wife was admitted to the home with one documented pair of glasses, which her current facility has verified she still has in her possession.
We are disappointed that your challenging actions led us to, unfortunately, having to enlist the assistance of the Local Authorities to terminate your wife’s stay with us.

My mom has been at St Georges for almost two years. In that time, my experience has been that all of the staff from nurses, reception staff, care staff and cleaners are friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. Any issues I may have had, have been dealt with in a timely manner and are always willing
to listen. Throughout COVID-19, their standards have been very high, and I have felt my mom was safe. Her needs are constantly changing, and I feel the staff at St Georges are moving to meet her needs.

My mum has been a resident at St Georges Park nursing home since January 2018. During this time, she has been cared for with the utmost respect and dignity by all of the management and staff. At the time of the Covid pandemic restrictions, every effort was made for me to maintain contact with my mum,
and when this was not possible due to Government restrictions, I had every faith that she was still being cared for with the same care and attention. I am very pleased with the care offered to my mum at St Georges Park.

On an unannounced viewing of the home, we found the staff interacting and meeting the needs of individual residents. On arrival were made to feel extremely welcome and the staff were very professional and reassured us completely. All staff were very supportive and caring right up to the end of my Uncles

My mother was a resident of St Georges Park for three years until she sadly passed. She was well looked after, the staff were very obliging and efficient under the management of a superb manager and hospitality manager.
On the night of her passing the three staff on duty on the wing where my mum's
room was, were exceptional, compassionate and comforting.

Chelsie Walne

Chelsie Hammond was appointed as Manager of St. Georges Park Nursing Home in September 2021. She has settled into her role with a real determination to maintain the very high standards and exceptional care that the residents have come to expect. Upon leaving University, Chelsie spent two years training to be a nurse and then moved into Domiciliary Care. After joining Rotherwood Healthcare three years ago she quickly proved her ability and progressed from her role as Senior Healthcare Assistant to Quality Assurance Officer where she played a crucial role in St George’s Park retaining a ‘good’ rating with the Care Quality Commission.


She has always loved being able to spend quality time with the residents at St George’s but says her love of the job also has to do with the fact she feels the company is so supportive and treats its staff and residents with dignity and respect. Chelsie is eager to take St George’s on a journey which enriches the lives of the residents who call it their home.
