St George’s Park Nursing Home offers exceptional nursing, palliative and specialist dementia care to residents from across the West Midlands.

The home is located within the peaceful residential area of St. George’s, but is also close to the popular town of Telford with a bustling high street and many nearby amenities, many of which can be easily accessed as St. George’s Park is on the local bus route.

The 2 individual units within the home are split across 2 very specialised floors, ensuring that every resident receives the exact level of high quality care they require 24hrs/day, regardless of how specific their needs are. St. George’s Park has a real person-centred approach and the dedicated care team support individuality, allowing each resident to achieve their potential and enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.

Accommodation throughout the home is luxurious yet practical, with care having been taken to make the individual bedrooms, and the communal areas, comfortable, appealing and stimulating. To ensure that residents feel at home and settled they are also encouraged to bring items of furniture and treasured possessions to personalise their surroundings.

St. George’s Park has a very welcoming atmosphere and friends and family often join in with the host of in-house activities which have been designed to cater for existing hobbies and interests – and to stimulate some new ones too. There are well-established links with the local community and the home often receives visits and concerts from the neighbouring schoolchildren and services from the local churches for those who want to join in.

My family and I are very pleased with the care and welfare that my husband has received since he arrived at St Georges Care Home. The staff have all been very helpful and always there to help if we have any problems. Although my husband doesn't always attend activities, he does seem to enjoy the entertainment,
which is really very good.

My husband has been at St Georges Park almost one year and I have found all the staff to be efficient and nothing is too much trouble. They are NOT paid enough for the jobs they have to do. They are all, without exception, patient with their patients at all times and I am in and out of the home visiting
very frequently. I can thoroughly recommend this home.

Excellent, friendly staff.
My father is very happy, he is not easy to manage but the staff are excellent with him. I can relax knowing he is well cared for.
The staff have, in my opinion, extended his life. My mother who is 82 is very happy and relieved.

Choosing a care home for your loved one is extremely important as you are putting complete trust in others to provide the care needed. I have found the staff at St Georges Park to be very professional but also caring and respectful.
The facilities are very good and I've always been pleased with the
level of care provided.

My Wife has been a Resident in St. Georges Park Care Home for approx 6 1/2 years and during this time the Home has been the subject of three changes of ownership.
The Home is presently owned by Rotherwood Healthcare and under their ownership, it has been the subject of many changes, including refurbishment
of the building and changes in Management.
The building and outside areas of the Home are well maintained and the décor (internally in particular) is very pleasant and clean.
The present Management team is approachable, caring and efficient in its management of the Home.
All members of Staff are cheerful, friendly, polite, caring and understanding of Residents needs.
The Laundry and Cleaning Services are excellent and carried out by very pleasant and efficient Staff.
Food is of high-quality and prepared by pleasant and efficient Staff.
My wife’s needs are being met with care, understanding and respect and I would have no hesitation in recommending St. Georges Park Care Home.

I don’t get to visit the Home as much as I’d like but I have to say that whenever I do visit I am made to feel very welcome. The renovation looks amazing and St Georges Park doesn’t feel like a typical Care Home. When my wife and I visit her Grandma we are always impressed with the staff, her bedroom
is lovely. It gives us real peace of mind to know that she is being looked after so well. I wish all Care Homes were like St Georges!!

Myself and my family have found St Georges Park to be a clean, bright and well maintained nursing home. My mother has settled well and her level of care is good, all aspects of her needs are met well, she is always clean, clean room and all laundry of her personal things are carried out to a high standard.
All staff are pleasant, approachable and although it is early days yet as mum has only been here a short while, we have no complaints and are happy mum is here.

Chelsie Walne

Chelsie Hammond was appointed as Manager of St. Georges Park Nursing Home in September 2021. She has settled into her role with a real determination to maintain the very high standards and exceptional care that the residents have come to expect. Upon leaving University, Chelsie spent two years training to be a nurse and then moved into Domiciliary Care. After joining Rotherwood Healthcare three years ago she quickly proved her ability and progressed from her role as Senior Healthcare Assistant to Quality Assurance Officer where she played a crucial role in St George’s Park retaining a ‘good’ rating with the Care Quality Commission.


She has always loved being able to spend quality time with the residents at St George’s but says her love of the job also has to do with the fact she feels the company is so supportive and treats its staff and residents with dignity and respect. Chelsie is eager to take St George’s on a journey which enriches the lives of the residents who call it their home.
