My mum has been given all her care needs by the team of staff. They always update me immediately of any concerns however small. Her individual care needs were identified soon after mum moved in and change when applicable. Overall, the family are most welcome by the team who have a good rapport with

My ex mother-in-law has been a resident here for just over one year and her care has been exceptional during these difficult covid times. The home has the most caring staff and do all they can to keep all residents safe. All the residents and my ex mother-in-law are always dressed lovely and the home
is very clean. I am kept up to date while I visit about her care. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Abbeywell Court for the exceptional care they provide.

Unable to view much of the home due to covid. Staff encountered all very friendly and approachable. Only saw the lunchtime meal which would have been too much of a challenge for my mother as she only eats small meals.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Due to current restrictions, have no been able to gain a full impression of conditions, but Mum appears very well cared for.

Staff are wonderful and very caring. Clients are their priority. Excellent events are organised for them when they can be. Nothin is too much for them. Coped extremely well in the last 18-months during the pandemic and made every effort for us to be able to visit when we were allowed.

It was a shock when Mum needed to go into the nursing home. However, I believe she is in the right place and that Abbeywell Court is looking after her. There is a high ratio of staff to residents and the attention given to Mum helps her anxiety. The manager is very professional and knowledgeable and
he visits the residents to talk to them and see how they are. All the staff seem very pleasant although due to Covid I have not spoken to many of them. The main person I have contact with is the activities leader and she has made the whole situation much easier for me because she is both efficient and caring. The pandemic has prevented most activities from taking place but the activities leader has managed to keep a routine going and she checks that every resident is being occupied and cared for.

Mum was in the care of Abbeywell Court Mental Nursing Home until she passed away.
All the staff were so helpful and in the last few days of Mums life made us all welcome so so we could be with Mum it was a very dignified passing and we were able to be with her all the way through.
The staff cared
for Mum very well, I could not have asked for any better.

I was really impressed with the standard of care given to my dad in what has been a very stressful time for my family. My dad needed expert care and I knew my dad was safe in Abbeywell Court. Nothing was too much trouble, they kept me updated on how he was doing, and through the pandemic, I could see
him on Skype. I could see he was happy, safe and well cared for, the staff are absolutely brilliant.

My brother, who was suffering from dementia, was in the exceptional care of Abbeywell Court for almost 3 years before he sadly died in February. I felt confident for him to be cared for by the marvellous staff who skilfully managed his sometimes challenging behaviour. Unfortunately, covid made it difficult
to visit him and although I was invited to be with him at the end, I was unable to do so. However, I was always kept updated and informed of any health issues and felt he was with caring staff with whom he was familiar and had become his second family. A big thank you for your care of my brother, especially over the past difficult year.

My dad had a few months at Abbeywell Court. Though not able to visit due to Coronavirus, I had some lovely Skpye calls with him. Everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful, and I felt in the short time he was there, they got to know him and cared about his character. He passed away at 92, and I was satisfied
all care and dignity was there for him. From personal touches to his room when allowed a visit a few days before, I am able to say it was a good, happy place.

Although my aunt was only at Abbeywell Court for a relatively short time prior to her death, the nurses, management and keyworker contacted me daily to discuss any concerns and to give any updates they had relating to my aunt's care. I was so pleased to be able to spend time with my aunt to say goodbye
to her prior to her passing away; the staff were so kind and caring and showed such compassion and dignity towards my aunt, and to be given the opportunity to do this at a time of such uncertainty regarding Covid19, such care was shown. I would not hesitate to recommend Abbeywell Court to anyone who is looking for a caring environment for a relative that I believe has a professional but friendly and family atmosphere.

My mum was a resident at Abbeywell for two and a half years until her passing last week. She suffered from Alzheimer's (8 years at the time of admittance) and required one to one care which she could not get at home. Whilst at Abbeywell she was treated kindly and with the utmost respect and dignity,
interacted with daily and encouraged to join in such activities at the home as she was able. I believe that my mum enjoyed her time there once she had settled in, and I never had any cause for concern or complaint of her treatment there. Abbeywell is not a large care home and the feeling you have when you go in is that you are going into somebody's 'home'. This is reinforced by the management and staff who like to think of their residents as family and this is extended to family and friends of residents when they visit. I would recommend Abbeywell to anybody who has the need for this type of care.

Although my mum was only in Abbeywell Court for about three weeks, all the staff were so lovely and caring towards my mum. I was well informed of all aspects of Mum's care by the manager and any requests were dealt with promptly. The activities manager was particularly helpful and supportive.
Having
had relatives placed in other care homes that were not good, I would not hesitate to recommend Abbeywell Court to anyone who is looking for a caring place for a relative. It seems well run, is clean and has a friendly, family atmosphere.

All of the staff at Abbeywell Court are extremely helpful and kind. I feel reassured that my nan is in safe hands due to the compassion, care and patience all the staff show towards her and other residents. My Mum was blessed to live at Abbeywell Court for the past 3 years. I lost my Mum on 22 April this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. She did not have the virus which was down to the level and high standard of care which she received at Abbeywell Court.
They did their best to keep her safe. Unfortunately,
isolation does not help Alzheimer's sufferers. This could not be avoided and because she was kept safe I was allowed to be with her when she died for which I will be eternally thankful.
Abbeywell was heaven-sent for Mum and me. The residents are family to the staff at Abbeywell and treated as so. Loved and cared for very much. I cannot praise them enough.
Mum was 94 years of age on 9th April and the staff had a cake for her and celebrated without me as I was not allowed to be there. They sent me photos which I shall cherish forever.
Mum loved it at Abbeywell and so did I. A little bit of heaven in an Alzheimer's world.

Mum was taken into Abbeywell Court on 1st April from Royal Stoke hospital as she had fallen at home and her main carer my dad had also become ill (he was diagnosed with glioblastoma and sadly died on 17th April after contracting covid 19). Mum received the absolute best care possible from all the staff.
As we were unable to visit due to the restrictions the virus caused I was kept informed of her condition on a daily basis. Mum was not told of Dad's passing due to her advanced dementia as it would have upset her greatly and she would not have been able to recall what she had been told. Dad's funeral was on 6th May at 10.00 am and mum passed away shortly after at 2.05 pm the same day. I cannot thank the home enough for the wonderful care she received. Mum and dad are now back together forever. I would not hesitate to recommend Abbeywell Court to anyone. Wonderful staff giving a compassionate, caring service to its residents and their families. Thank you with all my heart xxx

When we, as a family, viewed this home prior to Mum having a place there, we were immedately aware of the high standard of care given by the staff. Mum spent the last 2 weeks of her life being cared for with dignity and love by very experienced staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they had the utmost
patience in feeding Mum. We were always offered drinks for ourselves, meals if it was that time of the day, and the offer to have a bed overnight stay as Mum's condition worsened. After Mum's passing there was so much love, sympathy and efficiency in dealing with all that was needed.

My Mother moved into Abbeywell Court in November 2019. I was very impressed by the professionalism of all the staff I came across.I found all of them very dedicated to their work, The kindness, compassion and care that my mother received was of a very high standard. I was always kept up to date with
any changes occurring relating to her care and wellbeing. I do consider that the staff go the extra mile with the residents and their families maximising their comfort, care and peace of mind. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for my mother. I would recommend this home to anyone requiring EMI nursing care.
