My siblings and I are very pleased with the care and attention being given to our Mum who has late stage Alzheimer's Disease. All the staff are gentle, caring, helpful and hard working. Abbeywell Court is a very well run, safe and caring environment and we are all very glad to have found it.

A year ago we were faced with the task of finding a Nursing Home for our father. We visited most homes in Staffordshire and left them feeling very apprehensive. Until we visited Abbeywell Court Nursing Home in Chesterton, Staffs.
Our first impressions were of a homely environment, lovely rooms and
spotlessly clean. We were not wrong. However, this homes biggest asset is their staff. They made huge efforts to strike a relationship not only with our father but ourselves also. Making us feel part of the ‘family’. We totally trusted them with his care at the same time knowing he was 100% safe.
Our family cannot thank the manager and her caring staff enough for how they helped us.
This care home is head and shoulders above the rest.

Mum has been a resident for over two months now so I feel well qualified to give this appraisal of Abbeywell. We as a family have regularly visited the home at various times during Mums residency, we have always found the home more than adequately staffed, with pleasant hard working people who always
ensure that residents and visitors alike are cared for with courtesy and respect. We viewed quite a few homes prior to trusting Abbeywell with Mums care and I for one haven't regretted our decision for one second.

My first visit to Abbeywell was to check out prospective homes for Dad. As soon as I was let into the home I was greeted with happy smiley staff who continued to work while I was shown around. I got a really good feeling about the place and watched the staff interacting with the residents and knew
that Dad would be well cared for there.
During his time there, about 10 months, Dad was always treated with respect and dignity. He could be challenging at times but the staff handled situations professionally. His changing dietary needs were reviewed regularly and monitored well. The staff work hard and always made us welcome and during Dads final days they all showed care and compassion to us and Dad. I would not hesitate in recommending Abbeywell as it is by far the best place I saw and my gut feeling was right, they could not have done anymore to make Dads final few months more comfortable. Thank you to all at Abbeywell.

My Mother has been very well cared for here since September 2016. She has complex physical and mental needs, so is quite challenging to care for. The care staff, nurses, support staff and Management are always caring, helpful and eager to engage both with residents and their relatives. Activities are
appropriate for the nature of the residents and are tailored to meet individual requirements. Resident rooms are not large, but are of an adequate size and have an en-suite (if appropriate). The cuisine is good and tailored to specific resident requirements. From my perspective, the Home is sufficiently small to facilitate a personal and caring environment - has two floors. It is close to the A34 and A500, which enables good access for visiting by car.
