When we first visited the home everyone was friendly and polite, it felt like visiting a friend or relative which is why we decided on this care home. Mum is well looked after and we feel that we made the right choice.

My husband is a resident at Ashcroft Hollow the care and kindness he has received is wonderful nothing is too much trouble the atmosphere when you enter is relaxed and cheerful. The safety of the residents is also well taken care of. My husband has dementia and is quite a handful but the staff are kind
and patient. The nurses are very informative.

Cannot fault the home, it is always spotlessly clean. Smells fresh and welcoming. The cleaning staff do an excellent job! Carers are excellent, kind and caring. Food always looks tasty, and nothing too much trouble for the cook!
Receptionist is always smiley and friendly. Nothing too much trouble!
Trained nurses are brilliant, and always keep us updated.

My mother's life has improved significantly in the 14 months she has been at Ashcroft Hollow. She is looked after and supported by caring, respectful and friendly professionally trained staff. Staff raise any concerns about my mother, no matter how minor, to keep em up to date.
Outside services, e.g.
hairdresser and chiropodist are invited in to enhance resident's overall wellbeing.
Also regular outside entertainment and in-house activities keep residents stimulated and engaged.

My father was only resident for 9 weeks before he passed but the care he received was exceptional. The staff were always accommodating pleasant and nothing was ever too much trouble. In his final days the staff and onsite nursing staff showed nothing but attentiveness, compassion and kindness not only
to my father but also to the family. We as a family couldn’t have found a better care home.

The standard of care Dad received at all times was exemplary. Both nursing and care staff were supportive and attentive at all times. We were always kept informed of any issues with Dad and were grateful for being kept in the look. Huge thanks to all and for creating and managing such a wonderfully

The home looked after Mom for an 18-night respite stay. We were so pleased this home was chosen for us by social services. Mom has late-onset dementia, this was her first experience of respite care and it has been a positive experience. This is because the care and attention of the staff at Ashcroft
is second to none; they really do care and allowed my wife and I to relax. Cannot recommend Ashcroft highly enough.

Ashcroft Hollow has saved my life, the manager and all the staff are true angels. My husband needed to be placed as a crisis call and I contacted the home to plead for help.
They opened their arms and their hearts to us all as a family and my husband has settled into a lovely environment that keeps
him safe and comfortable. Thank God for places like this, amazing beyond words!

Mum has been in the home four weeks now, the staff are lovely, making her feel welcome. I walked in on a couple of occasions to find staff singing with her, another time sitting with her doing a puzzle book, she will give them a kiss telling them they are good to her, it gives me peace of mind knowing
she is safe and well looked after. Staff do an amazing job so thank you to you all.

The home has excellent nursing staff, excellent care staff, excellent cleaning staff and excellent management. We could not wish for better care and dedication for our relative who arrived in January from another home in very poor condition. The dedicated team at Ashcroft have worked tirelessly since

My mum came into this care home with severe dementia and other problems relating to old age as she is 89 years old. The home is very clean from fixtures and fittings to the bed linen. No awful aromas anywhere at any time. The staff from the nurses to the cleaners are very friendly and cannot do enough
for the patients and their families.

The home is clean, kind staff. They help the elderly and listen to needs and care. Dad always looks clean and tidy. Meals look good too. Ice lollies even on an extremely hot day. Kind, thoughtful staff. Very friendly. The staff are helpful.

Outstanding care for my dad from the minute he arrived until he passed. Wonderful people in a real home-from-home setting. Dad was treated with care and dignity as were we, his family, and friends. I can’t recommend Ashcroft enough. No one wants to see a loved one go into a nursing home but please if
you live in this area and need to go through this heartbreaking process please talk to the manager and she will allay all of your fears and provide the best place for you or your loved one.

Thank you to all of the team at Ashcroft Hollow for looking after my dad during his time with you. The home had such a friendly and kind vibe from the moment we stepped into the reception. All staff are efficient, friendly and caring at all times. Like many people, we were worried when the time came
to place Dad into care and the staff helped to alleviate those fears with reassurance and guidance. He settled quite quickly and made a friend in another resident. He was always well cared for and treated with respect. He spoke about his carers and nurses with humour and a smile, which we witnessed on many occasions. We felt like we had our relationship restored to being his children, not his carers. Access to Dad was limited at times due to Covid but we always had updates from the home and could see him through the window to keep in contact. We always felt the procedure for visitors to keep everyone safe during Covid measures was quick and easy. The home encouraged us to take Dad on outings and he was always ready and waiting for us with a smile. We were kept up to date with all medical issues and about his well-being. The nurses involved with his end of life care were excellent. I can't thank the staff involved enough for making his last moments as pain-free as possible and allowing him to pass with dignity and family present. No passing of a parent is easy but I can honestly say the support received was not just for my dad but myself and the family was very much appreciated. Thank you again to all of the staff because you are a team, from the management to the lady who brings the tea trolley, everyone with a smile and ready to help.

My Dad is not your typical care home resident, he has other unusual needs. We as a family were extremely worried as to how moving to a care home would affect him. Our Uncle was only a resident here for a short time, needed palliative care. During this time he was well looked after with care and dignity. The nursing team and staff were excellent. All our questions were answered and information provided when not available face to face (because of Covid restrictions)
but over the telephone.
