I have found the staff to be so helpful, kind and professional at all times with our sister who at times is finding her change to life very difficult. We can't tell you what a relief it is to know she is being looked after so well.

My heartfelt thanks go to the staff of the Bramshall Old Rectory Nursing home for the care, professional attention and love shown to both my mother during her stay and especially in her final days, and also to myself and our family. NOTHING was too much trouble. The nursing and attention were of the
highest order.
Having spent 40 years in Nursing, my mother hand-picked The Old Rectory herself for her own care and nursing needs.
From my own perspective, I was always welcomed with a smile. Living overseas, my regular phone calls were always treated with the same courtesy and human touch. I spent much of her final week sitting in The Old Rectory and was looked by the staff with the same courtesy, hospitality, and compassion.
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Rectory to you.

The Old Rectory provided totally fantastic support for my mother for two years.
The staff are very capable, efficient, happy but most importantly, gently and caring. They genuinely seem to love their job.
On the technical side, they are very competent e.g freshly cooked food with plenty of choice.
In
summary, you genuinely feel they treat the residents as they would their own mums and dads.
Then you Old Rectory, You gave us peace of mind.

We feel very fortunate that our father has been fortunate enough to receive care at Bramshall Old Rectory. The welcome we feel is amazing but most importantly the reassurance that dad is safe loved and well fed (homemade and high quality) and we can not fault any of the carers, nurses management or
caterers as they excel in every way but especially in giving their love.

My first impressions were lovely building with stunning views, inside clean, homely and cosy. The staff show care and kindness and cannot be faulted. In my opinion, the rooms are nicely decorated, warm and cosy. The meals look very 'nice and tasty' and a drink of tea or coffee can be provided for the
residents 24/7. My parents have been cared for in a happy, clean and safe environment. Due to closures, we had to move my parents three times. This home is by far superior to any of the others.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.488)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.488) out of 10 for Bramshall Old Rectory is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.688 for Bramshall Old Rectory is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.688

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bramshall Old Rectory is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
