Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Rowan Court for approximately 7 years. She is always well presented and I have no issues with her care. During lockdown in the pandemic, the staff have kept me well informed and I wish them well in these difficult times.

Overall Experience

During restricted visiting due to Covid-19. Excellent method of visiting my mum during this time, well organised with plenty of thought given to everyone's safety and government directives. As always, all staff were very friendly, approachable and supportive. I have full confidence in Rowan Court keeping

my mum safe through this current situation, as they have done this past 5+ years. I'm so glad we found Rowan Court for Mum, we are so lucky.

Overall Experience

I can only say how good, kind and caring Rowan Court is. They are so considerate towards the residents and take care of them. Their menu is very good and also they keep families informed of what is going on.

Overall Experience

A wonderfully run and caring home, with a friendly and warm atmosphere. The staff and management actually care about their residents. Nothing is too much trouble, they help the residents and they help and support families. The last few months have been extremely difficult for everyone but Rowan Court

and Avery have consistently been "ahead of the game", plenty of PPE, well-organised visits, a steady update of the situation. I have had no concerns that Mum is safe, and looked after. We have been visiting for 12 months now; the staff know us and we know them (the happy faces/masks stay the same). Consistency of staff is important when people feel vulnerable. We looked at a lot of care homes while Mum was hospitalised, I was desperate to hold on to the available room at Rowan Court until I could get her there. They haven't disappointed me and my gut instinct the first day I walked in was correct! Brilliant! I will never be able to thank them enough.

Amazing and caring staff. My Nan is a different person compared to where she was previously, over medication and heavily sedated. Great work done by all the team, keep up the good work. Have kept us updated during the COVID-19 pandemic with emails and Facetime calls.

Overall Experience

Staff are always efficient, friendly and very professional. The home is warm, clean and very inviting. Visitors are always made very welcome, I would recommend the home to anyone needing good care. The home provides good entertainment and keeps minds and body active.

Overall Experience

I am very happy with the care that has been given to my Dad during a very difficult time ie: global pandemic. At the beginning of lockdown, I realised that I would have to get care for my Dad as my husband and I were shielding and could no longer do as much for him as we used to. I rang Rowan Court

and they were very understanding and arranged to visit and assess my Dad the next day. He was collected from home the following day and quickly settled in. In spite of social distancing, residents are involved in lots of fun activities (especially good during the good weather in the garden). The staff are very very caring and show genuine love for their jobs which is passed on to the residents. The food is very good and my Dad really enjoys it. Although, please note, his requests for tripe with vinegar have gone unheeded. I am thankful that I chose Rowan Court. The staff have kept him happy and safe. Thank you all.

From day 1 we have received a professional, caring and sensitive service.
Nothing is too much trouble and there is always an open door to the manager's office.
The work the carers do is outstanding ad the atmosphere is warm and caring. I couldn't recommend highly enough.

Overall Experience

My husband stayed in Rowan Court for a weeks respite. I cannot praise all of the staff enough for taking care of him. Initially, he was fretful and a bit difficult because I was away,and he was worried about me.
However,he was looked after with kindness and understanding and soon settled down. In fact

he was spoiled rotten while he was there. This home may not be as “posh” as its sister care homes,but it has a lovely homely comfortable welcoming atmosphere which is essential and cannot be faulted. If I get the chance to go away again we will have no hesitation in having respite care here.

I appreciate the high costs involved in running a home such as Rowan Court, Newcastle, Staffs. However, I do think that more carers should be employed, particularly at night. This job is not everyone's "cup of tea" but perhaps an increase in the salary rate may attract more people to this type of employment,

bearing in mind the recent increase in fees!

Overall Experience

Mother-in-law has been resident here since 2010 and was 100 years old this month. She was given the most superb Birthday, managed by the staff on duty that day, both catering and care, and members of staff who attended specially to assist. Other staff members called whilst off duty to visit her on this

special day.
Their care and involvement mirror that of all the staff at Rowan Court who has managed mother-in-law's care since her stay began there. They have often gone out of their way to ensure mother-in-law has been given the best of care.

Overall Experience

Mum was a resident at Rowan Court for 4 years. The care she received was second to none. The entertainment and trips out was excellent and we enjoyed these as much as mum. The staff are so caring from the cleaners to the nursing staff. Just before mum passed away, the care was brilliant including the

thoughtfulness given to us as a family. We have many happy memories of mum in her final years and Rowan Court played a massive part in this. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for looking after mum so well.
If I could say anything to reflect the care she received it has to be that the staff are angels.

Overall Experience

My dad came in for respite and due to a change in circumstances, he became a permanent resident. It was a very upsetting and anxious time for me as I had been his carer for over 2 years. I need not have worried as every member of staff - from cleaner to management - has been wonderful with Dad and the

family. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. 10 out of 10 across the board.

Mum moved to Rowan Court from a previous care home. The change in 'care' was amazing. The health and well-being increased four fold! The staff gave her time, friendship and love as well as practical care. The food was also first class, homemade, with a number of choices. Nothing was too much for any

member of staff. Thank you Rowan Court for getting my Mum back on her feet and independent once again.

Overall Experience

I cannot praise the team at Rowan Court enough for the immense support and comfort they gave us and our nan throughout her stay with them. After a long stay at various hospitals and an ongoing decline in our nan's health, we fought hard to get her transferred into the nursing care team at Rowan Court.

Even though she sadly only got to stay with the home for a short while, we will always be thankful for the time she had there. Our nan didn't go there to die, she went there to live. To live in an environment that enabled her to regain the privacy, dignity and grace of being in a room that was a home from home. Where family could come and go as they pleased, in the knowledge that the caring, smiling, positive care team were there to fill the gaps when we couldn't. We will be forever grateful to the manager and the team for all that they have done for nan and for us as a family.
