A Care Home since March 1988, Springbank Nursing and Residential Home, is registered for 42 beds and caters for the elderly with residential or nursing needs. 24 hour nursing care is offered by qualified staff, using up-to-date and researched methodology.

The aim is to offer residents a fulfilled and contented life, ensuring all support is given in order to achieve the maximum capabilities of individuals; whilst giving them the very best of care.

Single and double rooms are all equipped with a nurse call system and TV point. A recent extension includes rooms with en-suite toilets. Residents are encouraged to bring any favourite furniture and ornaments with them to make them feel really at home. A further extension is planned for late 2014.

A choice of home cooked meals and all dietary needs are catered for

Recreational and daily activities are organised in the Home; activities include bingo, board games, cookery, drawing, computer work, crafts, keep fit, musical movement, poetry and reading, quizzes, sing-a-longs and reminiscing amongst others. Coach outings have included Blackpool Lights, Llandudno and the Trafford Centre. All relatives and friends are made most welcome at Springbank functions, such as Race Nights, entertainment nights and Christmas Parties.   

Services offered: physiotherapy, chiropody, dental, reflexology, massage and hairdressing facilities. A group of local churches offer a regular service in the home.

The dignity, privacy, individuality and freedom of choices of residents is respected, as well as having an open door policy where friends and relatives are encouraged to visit. Residents should feel that they are truly at home and surrounded by love and care at all times.

Both my husband's parents spent their last year in the care home. They were 93 and 98. I could not fault the special care they received and the genuine concern from both the management and staff. We were always made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this care home to
anybody.

My great Aunty has just passed away aged 101, after living here for two years. Throughout that time she was treated with dignity, respect and love by all the wonderful staff. During her final days, the care and devotion to ensuring that her passing was as peaceful as possible, was truly heartwarming
and we, as her family, can't thank them enough. Despite us spending many hours sitting with her, we were unable to be there when her time came but these wonderful people ensured that she passed away surrounded by people who loved her. For that, we are truly grateful. We can't praise them enough.

I am very happy with the care that my mother receives here. It was a tough decision we had to make and we looked at 10 other homes before choosing Springbank. The staff are great and I always feel welcome when I visit. A great place.

Since mum arrived she has become more confident, able to join in with activities, singing, bingo, memory games. The staff are wonderful, she is given her medication, help with all tasks, her wishes are respected if she doesn't want to join in etc. The GP and nurses are always willing to listen to our
questions, and act on them. I along with family members so happy mum has settled into her "for ever" home. We hope she enjoys it for quite some time. Management are very approachable its great.
