Springfield House Care Home is located in the Codsall area of rural Staffordshire and offers residential, nursing and palliative care.

The home is close to shops, amenities and public transport and convenient for the M54 and M6 motorway links.

This care home and accommodation is provided in single occupancy rooms, most of which have private toilet facilities. The home has a very welcoming and homely atmosphere and has a comfortable lounge with television.

Springfield House features quiet sitting rooms alongside the lounge for television and activities.

A separate dining room, where residents can enjoy the company of others at mealtimes is also available. Traditional home cooked meals using fresh produce are served with daily choices being available and special diets can be catered for.

Regular visits are made to the home by an experienced hair stylist. Complementary therapies can also be arranged, while the home provides a varied programme of activities.

Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. Residents lead the activity programme, which is devised after discussion and completion of life history and is updated regularly to reflect residents' current wishes.

My husband was very well looked after. He absolutely loves it in Springfield House he doesn't want to come home. The staff are very kind and attentive and do everything to make him comfortable.

I was extremely disappointed with the standard of care I received during my stay. I feel very let down as when I initially visited this home I was assured that all my medical and care needs could be met i.e. help with injections as I am a diabetic, washing and dressing. I required this help whilst I
recovered from an operation on my right hand. The whole experience turned out to be a shambles and not one I would wish to repeat.

This home is sensational. Didn’t know what to expect when my brother and I put Mum into care. Springfield House went above and beyond in every single area. Visiting every day, the staff become like a family to me and Mum. Everything is just so quiet and peaceful unlike some places I’ve heard of. The
staff are all very friendly and you can tell they all enjoy working there. Mum has been very well looked after.

My father stayed at Springfield House Care Home on respite care for two weeks in October. I must say the home and the staff that work there are fantastic! We've tried respite care in a number of other homes around and Springfield is by far the best. Friendly staff members that really give great customer
service. I had great peace of mind that my father was being looked after whilst me and my family were away.

Dad is unable to talk but can indicate yes/no and unable to move except for his left arm. Care was excellent, management and staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. Dad is unable to participate in most activities so this did not apply much to him. The food was good somedays but very basic others
- but staff did ask residents if they would like something else cooked. The home did not have that 'old people' smell and the residents always looked clean and well turned out. A couple of criticisms are the music in the dining room could be more age related - such as Glenn Miller, Tony Bennett etc and the television in one room has a black stripe in the centre which makes it difficult to watch, particularly football.

All the staff at Springfield are committed to patient care.
They always treat mum with respect and dignity.
Mum has recently become more immobile and the team have been extremely supportive to myself and mum in her recovery.

This care home is very welcoming and very pleasant at all times. My father has improved generally and is very happy with the care he has received so far. The food is good which suits his palate. The carers are all very attentive and smile together, laughing with my father.


The management all seem

very efficient, particularly the ones that have dealt with us, and this has been consistent throughout.


Referring back to the carers, they all seem very dedicated to their role, and I have spoken to most of them.

I arrived to visit a relative of mine and when I arrived, my relative was laid flat on the bed and was suffering from a chest infection. I had to go and fetch a staff member to provide assistance to my family member. I or any of my other family members should not have to see any of our own suffer like
that. My relative has been in the above-named care home for about 8-9 months and I am disgusted that it has taken this long for the care home to start to understand and provide the correct treatment for the medical condition PSS (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy). Improvement is needed for the benefit of the patient and family.

Every day is made as special as it can be but even more especially when it's a birthday or anniversary when the entertainment lady makes a special effort with decorations, cake and celebrations and all the staff join in. Often they will decorate the conservatory giving the family a little extra space.
Also, they make all celebrations like Easter, St Patrick's day, Wimbledon, assist etc very special with, lovely decorations. The entertainment lady also makes lovely banners, cards and special touches. Also, the dining room is always decorated beautifully with lovely flowers as is the whole home.

We were so fortunate to find Springfield House for my uncle, the place itself is set in beautiful grounds and the rooms are lovely.
But it's the staff that truly make the place home, I cannot fault them, I have worked in social care for over 20 years and have never seen such well trained engaged,
caring staff.
Being caring is not something you can teach people, but I have been on so many visits over the last 10 months and the staff are always ready to help and are not only professional and caring towards the residents, but also to the family and friends that visit, nothing is ever too much trouble no matter what time of day you visit.
We can't thank the staff enough for their care and compassion, I would not hesitate to highly recommend this home, we only ever see the failing homes and horror stories in the media, this home should be used as an example of how people should be treated.
Thank heavens we found you and a heartfelt "Thank you" to all the staff that cared for my Uncle.
