Talbot House Care Home is a loving independent family run care home, passionate in providing excellent person-centred residential care for up to 25 residents. Located walking distance from Rugeley Town centre, Talbot House has dedicated caring staff to attend to all the needs of the residents with all the amenities one may need on their doorstep.

Staff at Talbot believe strongly in the mission statement outlining their commitment to providing excellent care. All staff believe that people need to feel content, safe and secure - physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Residents have a choice of a number of downstairs lounges, separate dining area, dedicated activities co-coordinator and a large and secure garden. The home has a secluded, recently redecorated, exclusive five bed top floor recess with own bathroom and hoist. The home also boasts a summer room which has been converted to a premium single overlooking the gardens which previously serviced as a double family room. The home cooks provide fresh, nutritional and exciting food.

Talbot House is run by people who are caring, thoughtful about needs, courteous and respectful. The carer's we have worked with in the past 18-months are delightful people who have made a huge difference to our 97-year mum, reassuring us of calm, warm, helpful people who do not patronise and have provided
our mum with excellent care and company over these difficult time's.

Faultless, warm and considerate care in every way. I cannot imagine a better place for our Mum. We are completely happy with all aspects of Talbot house. Cannot fault the care and understanding from all of the staff. My grandmother’s mental health fluctuates, but the staff members, especially one nurse, have great compassion and understanding. Talbot House always keeps us informed and ensure that they get the appropriate support to benefit my grandmother.
It is such a relief to know she is well looked after. I cannot praise them enough. It is such a relief to know how well our family member is being looked after.

Staff at Talbot House are professional and friendly, always eager to help and answer any questions we may have, They provide excellent care and attention to detail, even when busy, they will take time to talk on the telephone and reassure us on my dad's health. Talbot House has been great looking after Mum during the pandemic, and I'm so pleased with the stance they adopted when they opted to lock down the home straightaway once the Coronavirus was confirmed.
They have always kept me informed regarding Mum with regular updates on how she is doing, supplying
photos/Facetime events to help me see how she is coping with it all. This has been of great comfort to me during these really hard and difficult times for us all. I have found the whole team at Talbot have been excellent throughout both before and during the lockdown and certainly have no problem in thoroughly recommending
Talbot House and all of the lovely team based there, to anyone.

From the moment we walked through the doors in early January, we knew we had found the right home for mum. The staff are so caring and hardworking. All the residents are treated as family members. The manager is a wonderful, compassionate and honest leader. All the staff communicate well with each other and especially the residents. My sister was only with them for a few weeks but she could not have been better cared for. As a family, we could not thank them enough. They all showed great empathy
with everyone who entered the doors. The tea is wonderful.

Excellent service, very homely. They all take care of my Mother in Law. All the food is excellent, all home cooking. Activities are excellent, brain stimulation is excellent. Overall everything is excellent and I would always recommend this home. I am at ease knowing my Mother in Law is well cared for.

This home is lovely. Clean, caring and lovely staff.
Rooms are lovely and personal items all neat and tidy, placed in drawers and wardrobe, making it home from home. Lovely staff greet you when you visit.

Brilliant care. My grandmother has been a resident for over 10 years and never had any complaints. Always looked after my gran superbly, couldn't speak highly enough of Talbot House.

Since the new manager has been in post, many improvements have taken place. These include updating decor, additional activities for residents and a more open approach to dealing with any concerns. One outstanding matter is the unreliability of the only lift in the building. Bedroom upgrades are in progress.

The care my mother receives is exemplary. They treat her as if she is one of their own. The home itself is much better since having the flooring replaced etc. But it really does meet a new lift or stair lift. My mother has been stranded on many occasions due to the lift not working and although had
regular visits from the care staff, it did exclude her from interacting with other residents.

The carers at this nursing home were so good to my mother. They looked after her with love and compassion. They were so kind and caring and gentle with her as she could do nothing for herself.
It was a great relief to know Mum was looked after by very caring and devoted staff.

My mother is very happy at Talbot House. The staff all look after her really well and have a pleasant attitude. This helps to create a good place to be for her.
When a problem occurred I was contacted and kept informed of everything, it was dealt with very well.

The home has since had a new manager and the home is being refurbished to a lovely standard. The care of the residents is very good. The food is excellent, good and nutritious food. The safety/security is very good.


I'm happy knowing that my mam is being well cared for.

Daniel Feneysey

My name is Daniel (Dan) Feneysey, I started out in care as a care assistant and worked my way through various roles and climbed the ranks to the position of CQC Registered Manager.


I have been fortunate to have progressed onto managing a range of different services over 5 counties. I have a unique insight and first-hand knowledge of all roles so I can understand and empathise with the team. I am an experienced Manager who is very passionate about the standard of the service that we are providing to the people who are living with us. Since becoming the CQC Registered Manager for Talbot House I have been very lucky to be part of a growing home and with supporting the home to move forward with the support of the lovely people who use the service.


There are many reasons on why I love working at Talbot House, to name a few, the Residents and staff are wonderful, and it is such a pleasure to be able to support people to live well. Another reason is the support that we receive from the Directors, anything we need is provided for to ensure the continuous improvement in the home and for the comfort of the Residents. I am proud to be part of the team here at Talbot House and am very excited to see what the future has in store for Talbot House!
