Westfield Lodge Care Home is a modern purpose-built home in Weston Coyney.

The care home has gardens with a water feature and plum trees. Near the home is a lake, where residents and staff enjoy feeding the swans and ducks.

There are communal lounges where residents can socialise as well as quiet lounges and a bright and sunny conservatory. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms and are consulted on their likes and dislikes in terms of food.

Individual bedrooms are comfortable and well maintained and residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are available day and night.

Residents wishing to have their hair done can visit the onsite hairdressing facilities. In addition there is a varied programme of activities which includes arts and crafts, gardening and musical events.

Would highly recommend this beautiful, friendly and spotlessly clean home. Mum really settled here and I can't be grateful enough for the wonderful care she received. During her last few weeks, Mum had been quite poorly and she was treated with the utmost care and compassion. A big thank you for the
care you provided to me at what was a horrendous time and for allowing me to spend the last moments of her life with me.

This is a home from home experience, the staff are exceptional at their jobs making the residents plus family feel very much welcomed and at ease. Obviously because of the COVID things have been a little different but when allowed to go back and visit everything was put in place to make you feel safe.
The entertainment that is provided is second to none a good time is had by all.

From our first visit to view the care home, both myself and my son were impressed by the management and staff- how they interacted with both us and the residents. We decided that we did not need to view any other homes. My mum settled well and enjoyed the many activities and the entertainment. Can't

For the short time, my mother was in the nursing home (less than 2 weeks) the care and support was excellent. Thank you to management and staff for treating my mum with dignity, also for being aware of her family's feelings and needs.

Caring, hardworking staff, nothing was too much trouble, couldn't have asked for better care for Mum. Family members were also welcomed and treated as friends and kept up to date with all aspects of her care.

Beautiful home, spotlessly clean. All the staff are excellent, they are caring and compassionate towards my mum and were fantastic. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for everything they did for Mum and for us when Mum passed. They’ve been excellent during this pandemic and keeping the residents
safe and allowing us to spend time with Mum, before she passed.

At the beginning of January 2021, my mother suddenly took ill and after seven days in hospital, returned back to the care of Westfield Lodge. The return was both challenging for the Care Home Staff and family alike and further compounded by the difficult and limiting demands of the pandemic. Pandemic
or not, I wish To commend the entire team at Westfield Lodge for their friendly, caring and compassionate nature, for their professionalism and not to forget being there to care for others, when at this time a percentage of the UK workforce is able to stay at home or at the very least, has a choice in whether or not to take risks. Entrusting a 'loved one' to another's safe-keeping can be done when you have a team spirit like that of the staff of Westfield Lodge. Our thanks to all.

My mum was welcomed into Westfield after her hurried discharge from hospital in February 2020. We had concerns that the move to a completely new area to be near us would be difficult for her to accept as she was such an independent person and loved her own home. The manager and the rest of the staff
worked hard to keep her feeling happy and cared for during the start of the Covid crisis, when it was not possible for the family to visit, normally. We were able to communicate with Mum by phone and latterly by using WhatsApp video, organised by the staff. Mum enjoyed music and singing and was able to play her keyboard with encouragement from the entertainment organiser, who also showed a particular aptitude for her work with the residents.
Mum needed outside medical intervention on a few occasions, and this was organised promptly with family being informed. During her end-of-life period, we were able to visit and spend precious time with her. Thank you!

Our mother was a resident at Westfield Lodge for the last 2 years of her life. We cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love they gave her. They all got to know her very well and treated her with great sensitivity and humour. She loved the food and they soon learnt that she could drink a cup
of tea any time! They have always been welcoming to the family(pre-COVID). They are worked so hard to keep the residents and staff safe during this tough year. During Mum's last few days, they allowed immediate family to visit which was a great comfort to us all. We would recommend Westfield Lodge to anyone!

I had not wanted to put my father into a care home but from day one at Westfield Lodge, everything seemed to fit into place. Within a very short time, he was relaxed and comfortable and the staff were always on hand to support him. What we thought would be a couple of months respite turned into 5 plus
years where my father felt he was living with lots of friends and he loved all the social activities and the food.

We have had and seen the best possible care that could be provided. The staff have been absolutely amazing. Totally professional and friendly, showing complete care and compassion to all members of our family. Regular checking day and night showing nothing goes unmissed. Fantastic staff and home.

Dad has been admitted to Westfield Lodge for end of life care and the way the he has been looked after is exceptional. The team of staff are genuinely compassionate, caring, supportive and loving. Not only do they give their individual attention to the residents they also look after the family members

Mother went into care in December 1029, given the choice of eight homes from the hospital. None in the postcode we were promised. But, after visiting a few, I went to Westfield Lodge, turned up on spec. Very impressed with the nurse that showed me around. The place was very clean. I picked a room for
Mum and she moved in on 24th December 2019. I Used to visit 2-3 times a week, never had any problems. Mother's health went downhill at times but felt she was well looked after. Met quite a few people who had parents there. Everyone seemed happy with the care provided. Sadly mother's health took a turn for the worse and she passed away May 2020.

Just to say our time spent with our lovely mum at Westfield Lodge was really nice. Nice friendly staff. All happy faces, whenever you spoke to them plenty of laughing going on amongst residents and staff members. Food menu fab! Entertainment mum enjoyed. Sing along days. Care manager amongst or of the
running of her busy days at the care home, always had time to spend to talk to you! Thank you.

My mother was only in Westfield Lodge Care Home for a short period, 12-weeks. During her stay, we observed all the staff to be caring and vigilant regarding the residents, helpful to when asked any question. The management has an open-door policy; which we found to be reassuring.
Summary, my mother's
final days and hours were the best care possible, thank you Westfield Lodge management and staff.

I am the Registered Home Manager at Westfield Lodge Care Home and have been a qualified Nurse for 9 years. I have an BSc honours degree in nursing and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Adults. Since qualifying as a health care professional, I have worked solely in elderly care. I am passionate regarding elderly care and I strive to make a difference in the lives of others which incorporates a person-centered approach. I consider myself an excellent communicator and very approachable who strives to enhance the services users lives to the full.
