My mother was wrapped in a cocoon of caring excellence backed up by medical expertise. The staff always had time for her and for me and they were wonderful at keeping her calm and comfortable through a difficult time. It was good to see that they were also given the resources they needed to do their
job to a very high standard.
The booklet is brilliant and helped us all keep in touch. Cedar Lodge Care Home is truly outstanding.

The quality and competence of care staff under the leadership are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, the care my dad receives is not just excellent but also very personal. He is in the best of hands, they work hard and with care. Couldn't ask for much more, thanks so much.

All staff whatever level were always smiling and very obliging.
I felt very comfortable. The care staff could not do enough for me. I was nursing a knee operation so they were helpful in the early days. Late afternoon they came with a tray of sandwiches - many containing fish of sorts. Not to my palette.
I asked for ham sandwiches and these were prepared by the chef with my name on them.
Two non-members of staff called with good conversation.
Nurses were collaborative - after waking me at 10.00, I asked for evening pills at 8.00 they were happy to do this.

I first contacted Cedar Lodge Care Home early evening one Friday as a previous care home had let my dad down for respite care. The manager could not have been more helpful, I felt swept up and actually cared for and the care Dad then received was exemplary. He didn't just receive care for his knee replacement
and delirium but, as he got better, the spiritual care he received helped him grieve for his wife who he lost nine months ago.
I was also impressed with all the online/digital forms I could complete as many still require handwritten ones! I could not recommend Cedar Lodge and their staff enough.

My mum spent the last two weeks of her life at Cedar Lodge Care Home in March of this year and I could not have asked for a better place.
I honestly cannot rate the staff who cared for her highly enough. The team are the most kind, compassionate and considerate group of individuals I have ever encountered.
The care, concern and respect that my mum, and I (as the only relative), received was truly exceptional. I was constantly kept well-informed of her condition and consulted with regard to every important aspect of her care.
I will be forever grateful to the manager and her staff for making my mum's final days ever so peaceful and comfortable.
Having had relatives in other nursing homes in the past I can genuinely state that Cedar Lodge is outstanding in all areas.
Thank you Cedar Lodge for giving me such special memories of my final hours with my mum.

Whole team are caring, professional, engaged with residents and family. Like many care homes, short-staffed and dependent on agency but MHA staff bear the burden and remain true to themselves, the residents and MHA. Sometimes difficult to observe agency staff and lack of knowledge and commitment. MHA
should be proud and reward accordingly the staff at the care home. They are a credit to themselves and MHA. Hope MHA appreciate them.

My dear mother went to Cedar Lodge in July this year as her husband had died and she could not cope alone due to her dementia. She was so content at Cedar Lodge. Always smiling when I visited or called her on FaceTime. Despite Covid restrictions, the home made every effort to give me quality time with
her. The staff are caring, kind and helpful. Their care is personal and thoughtful and they treat residents with respect for their dignity. Mother also loved the food. I could not have asked for better care for my mother in the last few months of her life.

Compassionate and thoughtful care for my late mother in challenging times. The staff are always professional and welcoming and give all residents and their families the support they need. First-class in every respect. We had to move my mother into a nursing home just before lockdown, and from the moment we walked in, we knew that she would be happy at Cedar Lodge. The care for her, and for us, under incredibly trying circumstances due to COVID has been first-rate. The staff got to know
my mother very quickly, and treated her as an individual, with dignity and respect. There’s a tangibly calm and happy atmosphere in the home which is underpinned by high standards in all aspects and a professional but warm approach. Communication has been excellent.
I unreservedly recommend this home - it is outstanding and I am so glad that my mother was able to spend her final few months being cared for so well.

My husband is a resident at Cedar Lodge, he suffers from complex dementia and definitely not the easiest or cooperative resident.
Right from the start, the carers made every effort to get to know him and divert him, with little cooperation from him. Therefore he settled in, in a fairly short time.
The
carers’ knowledge and expertise is obvious in that he trusts them, and even when he is aggressive the kind care continues from a distance.
He now regards carers and residents as his family and does enjoy the companionship.
I would also like to say that they have very supportive GP care.

Everyone at Cedar Lodge is kind and thoughtful, caring and compassionate. My parents have both been at Cedar Lodge for over two years and their care has always been amazing.
