My mother spent her last few months at Eversleigh, having moved there from Hospital just before Christmas. She had become very frail and my wife and I were no longer able to look after her at home. I could not have wished for a better place for her to move into. The staff were extremely caring and she
had very good support and was made to feel welcome from day one. The management of the home is exceptional and the safety and well-being of the residents is clearly their top priority. As a relative, I felt very well supported by the nursing staff who were always happy to discuss any issues that I might have been worried about.

Mum was transferred from hospital to Eversleigh Nursing Home, Leamington Spa during the Covid-19 crisis. During this somewhat unique and difficult situation during which we have been unable to visit, the management, nurses and carers have made every effort to ensure Mum has quickly settled and is as
comfortable as possible. Arrangements were made by a dedicated communications carer for Skype live chats with Mum where we can see that she is being well looked after in an ideal environment. All medical and welfare matters have been brought quickly to our attention and during the past six weeks, we have felt totally confident that Eversleigh Nursing Home is providing Mum with the highest levels of nursing care.

My father moved into Eversleigh in December 2019. He has settled in well and is very happy in his surroundings. He has a lovely room which overlooks the gardens and is very well looked after. All the staff are very friendly and spend a lot of time with the residents making them feel at home. I am extremely
glad he was accepted into the home as I know he will be well-loved and cared for.

Having only been given 48 hours in which to find a placement for Mum, I feel really lucky to have found Eversleigh Nursing Home. I am very happy with the care provided there for her. With credit to all the staff, Mum settled in really quickly. All of the staff are friendly and approachable, and there
for the relatives as well as the residents. The staff soon got to know Mum and her needs, adapting to her and her routines to provide person-centred care. They often share a laugh and a joke with Mum, whilst still retaining the utmost respect for her. Mum was allocated a lovely room that is cosy and comfortable. Taking in familiar ornaments for her was not a problem. Favourite pictures from home have even been put up on the walls for her.

My brother and I would like to record our gratitude to every member of the team at the Eversleigh. We have been pleasantly surprised and delighted at the welcome Mum and all our family have experienced from the minute she arrived and was taken into your care. Your home is run more as one big caring
family with everyone exhibiting the highest standards of personnel care and professional nursing. Not only did we witness these skills being administered to our mum but we also felt this warmth of care extended to each one of the family as we visited her.
As Mum's life came to a close, the family were shown every consideration and the privacy and time to say our goodbye's. It was so natural and dignified that we came away feeling sad of course, but also at peace, knowing that Mum had the best of farewells.

We looked at a lot of nursing homes in addition to the Eversleigh as previously my mother had been enjoying her independence in sheltered accommodation. She is now one of the longest-standing residents there and I can genuinely say she is very happy. They are caring and responsive, the staff are lovely
and although they are not the cheapest, nor are they the most expensive. They are, however, the best, in my opinion.

Mum was only with you for a short time due to her pancreatic cancer. During that time, the care provided was excellent, mum was looked after and treated at all times with dignity and respect.
The professionalism and patience of the staff, the compassion and kindness they showed to her on a daily basis
was exceptional.
Additionally, my family and I were always treated with respect and felt very supported during this very difficult time.
I could always leave knowing she would be looked after as best as possible.
I would certainly recommend Eversleigh to anyone considering care of a relative.

My Dad moved into Eversleigh at the beginning of August and we have been so happy with the level of care he receives. The staff are all happy to help and really professional in their approach. My dad settled in from day one and has been really settled and happy there. The staff all introduced themselves
on day one and we couldn't be happier. They interact with residents regularly and are friendly in their approach. The manager was so welcoming when we were looking round the home and really knowledgeable, she made us feel really at ease and was happy to answer all the questions we had.
The home itself is very well kept and clean with lovely surroundings.

My friend's mother is over 100 years old and is a resident, my friend visits regularly each day and I also do too. We both feel lucky to have her mum in the care of Eversleigh Nursing Home as all of the staff and management are caring and approachable in all circumstances. Everyone is friendly and professional.
I would recommend the home to anyone. You can put your trust in them totally to really care for your loved ones.

My neighbour, a French lady by birth, spent the last three weeks of her life at Eversleigh nursing home in June and I visited a number of times and found the staff to be very caring and kind, and a few even spoke French to her. She loved the food, especially when she was able to eat at the start of
her stay.

Her funeral was today and Eversleigh sent a small bouquet of flowers. Her family were very touched by this and it prompted me to do the review.

Thank you so much for the care and dignity you give those at the end of their life.

My sister was extremely unwell when she moved here for end-of-life care, but the nursing and attention she received improved her appearance and mood enormously and made her last 3 months calm and serene. They even made her a cake for her birthday and celebrated with a little party. The staff were gentle
and attentive to her, they were always welcoming to us as visitors and kept us informed as we live 150 miles away. My greatest fear was that she would die alone, but there were nurses with her to comfort her to the end.

Mum was only with you for a short time due to her failing health. During that time the care provided was excellent, Mum was looked after and treated with dignity and respect. The patience of the staff and tenderness to her was extraordinary. I suppose the most telling comment she gave about her care
was when we visited she was receiving some care from a member of staff and when it had been completed and the staff member had left she said totally unprompted "they look after me really well, not just when you are here, all the time". Nothing was ever too much trouble. We would certainly recommend Eversleigh to anyone considering care of a relative.

My mother had enjoyed the last 10 years in a home for the elderly and was very reluctant to accept that she now needed more care and should move to Eversleigh Nursing Home. Hence I was dispatched from my home in New Zealand to do what I could to make the transition run smoothly.
My job was made very
easy because of the first class staff at Eversleigh and the dedicated care that she received. The move has made her noticeably healthier, happier and secure.
The family were very pleased to see that mum had taken part in a group craft activity and produced an Easter hat and bag.
We can now rest easy that all her needs are cared for by happy, dedicated and skilled staff.
Thank you all and well done.

Dear Eversleigh Nursing home

I recently visited your beautiful nursing home with my friend to visit her mother who has Dementia. I wanted to thank the kind nursing staff you have, who helped us during my visit. They took us to see my friends mum and were very helpful. Your home is very tidy and the

room was very clean. It was nice to see you advocate good hygiene and hand cleansing facilitates. I asked my friends mum about the food and how the staff were, she was very positive about it. When and if I need to have nursing care, I sure know where I would like to go. It seemed nothing was too much for your staff to do and they spoke to me in a lovely manner. Hope to see you all again, when I'm visiting.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to the staff at the Eversleigh. Even though my Uncle was very poorly when he moved there, the staff who cared for him took such good care of him that I cannot remember him looking so well. The staff were exceptional and the attention to detail in his care was
extraordinary. I will never forget their hard work and dedication to all the residents. Thank you.

Mother-in-law was in Eversleigh for only 4 weeks before passing away. We wished she had been in there sooner. The quality of care was second to none from everyone there from management, nurses, carers. I really could not fault her time there, they were all very genuine and caring. I would recommend
this nursing home to anyone.

I cannot thank the wonderful Eversleigh nursing home staff enough for all the kind love, attention and care they showed my father before his recent passing. He was extremely happy living there. The wonderful, friendly and professional staff could not do enough for my dad and shared many a joke and kind
words with him. My Mum and I are so grateful to them and very happy that we chose Eversleigh for my dear Dad's care in his final months.
We would recommend it to anyone. Thank you once again.

My husband has been at Eversleigh since May 2017. The care he has received has been exceptionally good. All the staff, from management to nursing staff, to carers, to kitchen and laundry staff, have shown the utmost kindness and professionalism - and this has extended to me and to family and friends
as well. I'm enormously impressed by, and grateful to, everyone in this nursing home. Should I ever need to be cared for in a nursing home, this is where I should like to be.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.576)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.576) out of 10 for Eversleigh Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.824 for Eversleigh Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 91 Ratings = 4.824

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.752 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Eversleigh Nursing Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.4 = 0.952

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
