Linden Lodge care home specialises in providing person-centred nursing and dementia care for the elderly.

The warm and welcoming home is set within 4 acres of landscaped gardens and orchards.

It is close to the village of Polesworth and within easy reach of the M42 and A5. Although the home is set in the rural countryside it is only 20 to 30 minutes drive from Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Birmingham or Nuneaton.

The caring and motivated staff have many years of relevant experience and ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

My father received excellent care and attention at Linden Lodge. I was kept informed of any problems or causes for concerns with any changes in Dad's health promptly and efficiently. I cannot thank the whole team at Linden Lodge enough for their care, support and attention to detail. We are eternally
grateful as a family for Dad's care.

Although my wife was in the home for a relatively short time, she was made most welcome from the outset. My wife had a lovely room with plenty of space for the staff to work in. She seemed to settle in well and was happy there. Her personal requirements were challenging, but the staff made great efforts
to get to know her. They read to her and shared the photo albums that we provided.
The open visiting arrangements were a bonus. They made visiting by relatives and friends so much easier to arrange. We were kept informed of any important issues as they arose.

We are generally well satisfied with the treatment of our aunt and uncle in Linden Lodge but there are a few niggles which we would mention.
We were not told about the Laundry Policy and noticed that the clothes were "disappearing". Upon enquiry, we found out that they were being dressed from "lost
property" - when they had enough clothes of their own. We were not told about marking their clothes when they first came to the home. Relatives of ours in other homes had their laundry washed separately. We are not happy with everyone's clothes being washed together.
We are pleased with the friendly attitude towards our relatives by the caring staff.
We thank you for informing us when there is a problem.
We are a little worried that our relatives are staying in bed permanently and not being encouraged to get up during the day, although we realize that they have mobility issues.
Caring is a difficult job and we thank you for your hard work.

My father was discharged from Hospital to Linden Lodge suffering from cancer, which had spread into his bone marrow leaving him unable to stand or walk, combined with long-term heart failure. Within a week his condition had deteriorated further, and care home staff asked the local GP to review his condition.

The GP placed him on End-of-Life care and the Care Home Manager applied for Continuing Health Care funding the same day, which was approved within a few days. He passed away five weeks later. During his time in Linden Lodge, all the staff were very focused on easing his pain as much as possible and supporting my family during visits, nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole home and everyone who works there is focused on quality of care and support. The home is furnished to a high standard, kept very clean and all the downstairs rooms have access to smart patio areas filled with flowers and plants. There is such a pleasant and positive atmosphere here.

I have to say I have a limited knowledge of care homes, that was until my father needed to go into one. He was put into a different care home to begin with and it was a very difficult experience for us as a family. We were dubious when he moved to Linden Lodge Nursing Home expecting the same. However,
I can honestly say that it is worlds apart. The staff from the receptionists, cleaners, carers, and caterers to Matron all go above and beyond. Everyone is friendly, communication is first class and the genuine care, love and kindness shown from everyone makes the place an extremely impressive establishment. My father has very severe dementia at present that means the level of care needed is high. And regardless of which member of my family visits we all say how wonderfully cared for my father is. He may not know us anymore, but he is happy, content and knows he is safe. That is a testament to the hours of work the whole team put into caring for him. Linden Lodge was the best choice we ever made.

Linden Lodge Nursing Home is by far the best care home that we visited whilst choosing somewhere for my aunt to live. The impressive building is set in well maintained grounds with plenty of outdoor spaces for the residents to relax. The inside is always clean and smells fresh. There are always activities
in the day room, sometimes in house and quite often outsiders come in to sing, entertain or hold exercise sessions. The staff are amazing, they’re all so friendly and caring. They all know each resident's quirky ways and nothing ever seems too much trouble. During lockdown they went above and beyond to keep us connected and Matron did a superb job of emailing us regularly to give us any updates or just a general insight into day to day life in lockdown. I know many care homes struggled during these scary times and I’m sure there must have been times when it was all too much for the staff, but they didn’t falter, they stood strong with their leader and battled on, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

My mother has been a resident of Linden Lodge Nursing Home for 3 years and I cannot praise too highly the standard of care she has received. She has dementia and I feel that her cognitive abilities have improved by more stimulation. The food is always excellent and I would recommend Linden Lodge to
anybody.

My mum was in Linden's care for over a year and it was extremely different and difficult during this time with Covid. Staff were trying to understand this new way of working as well as the residents who lived there. Due to this, it is difficult to rate this provision, as I am sure it was different before
covid. It was difficult to get to know the staff due to the lack of name badges and with the masks they needed to wear.

My mother was resident in the nursing care unit of Linden Lodge for over two years, from when she had a stroke in July 2019 until her death in September 2021. The care she received during that time was excellent and she was very well looked after. Linden Lodge managed the COVID situation very well and
we had no concerns. Our family would recommend Linden Lodge.

Lovely staff, welcoming and helpful. The facility is clean and smells fresh which is always a good sign. It's a lovely setting in a big rural outlook. Gardens and open spaces to walk, rest or just to sit in. The care staff are capable, caring and knowledgeable. There is a great selection of home-cooked

Mum was in respite care for two weeks as she had become immobile. The staff immediately made her welcome and comfortable and within a week she had regained mobility. After the full stay, Mum was fit and ready to return home thanks to the care and attention afforded her by the excellent Linden Lodge

I would like to welcome you to the Linden Lodge Nursing Home. We are a professional caring team whose aim is to deliver the highest standard of care within a homely environment. We want everyone we care for to “live well in the place and manner of their choice”


I joined LLNH in 1990 and have been the Registered Manager here for the last 20 years.


Being a qualified Registered Nurse with an Orthopaedic Nurse Certificate and a Level 4 Registered Managers award, I am passionate about making this home the best it can be, not only for the residents but also for the staff that work here and become part of our large family.

I have over 14 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. I joined Linden Care Homes in 2019 as a Care Assistant then progressed to a Deputy Manager.


After two years in that role, I am now job-sharing as a Home Manager with our long-standing Registered Manager at Linden Lodge Nursing Home.


I have a real passion for Person-Centred Care, providing the best care and environment for our residents as if they were my own family. Job satisfaction for me is interacting daily with our residents and seeing them happy.

Sister Russel is a highly qualified motivated nurse having achieved a degree in nursing, a leadership and management award level 4/5 and is a practice assessor for student nurses.
Having worked at Linden Care homes for 16 years she has extensive knowledge and skills in adult general nursing, palliative care, end of life care and has tissue viability expertise.


She leads by example promoting person-centred values of individuality, rights, privacy, choice, independence, dignity and partnership.


Her leadership inspires others based on core values of empathy and caring, kindness, compassion, respect and integrity.


Maintaining high standards of nursing care at all times within our nursing unit, she and her team of nurses and health care staff uphold evidence base practices to prioritise residents in their care to ensure that their needs are recognised, assessed, responded to and their dignity is preserved.

I started my career at Linden Lodge Nursing Home in 2003 as a kitchen assistant weekend job whilst still at school.


Linden Lodge encouraged me to go to catering college where I trained to be a cook.


During my time at Linden Lodge I have steadily improved my skills and am now Head of Catering for all Linden Care Homes Ltd and am responsible for the standard of catering in all three homes. I have been here for 18 years and I love my job.
