Linden Lodge care home specialises in providing person-centred nursing and dementia care for the elderly.

The warm and welcoming home is set within 4 acres of landscaped gardens and orchards.

It is close to the village of Polesworth and within easy reach of the M42 and A5. Although the home is set in the rural countryside it is only 20 to 30 minutes drive from Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Birmingham or Nuneaton.

The caring and motivated staff have many years of relevant experience and ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

My mother's care is second to none. She has her own furniture in her room so it feels at home. The food is first class but the brilliant part of Linden Lodge is the fabulous staff who go the extra mile for the residents.

My experience has been very limited as I have not been able to visit due to lockdown. Dad has been a resident for a year, from March 2020.
Linden Lodge were able to take my father during the first days of the lockdown (due to the coronavirus pandemic). He had fallen and was in hospital so entered the
home and had no visitors due to restrictions. The testament to the staff and home is that they took the roles of carers, family members and friends, ensuring Dad felt secure and loved.

My mother has been at Linden Lodge for 2 and a half years. She has an excellent room, with her own furnishings and personal items from home around her. The nurses and staff have treated her with care, love and tenderness as if she was one of their family. My mother's washing is always fresh and spotless.
It is sad that, as she is bedridden, she cannot join any entertainment.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a very caring manner towards the residents and visitors. This is the first visit I have made since the easing of COVID restrictions. It was so reassuring to know that Mum was sage in a secure and caring environment and great pains were taken to ensure
that we were kept up to date with Mum's situation throughout the lockdown since we were so far away. An excellent team in an excellent care home! Well done to all.

I have been visiting Linden Lodge Nursing Home since 2000. My mother was a resident, followed by my aunt and then in 2014, my father became a resident. Both parents were in the home for a couple of months before my mother passed away. The staff, led by the matron, have always been friendly, helpful,
kind and reassuring. They have provided excellent loving care to all my relatives and I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. An extremely well run home. Keep it up!

My sister has been staying at Lindon Lodge for four months. Prior to her admission, she was very agitated and anxious. She was not eating very well. She is now much calmer and happier. She loves the staff and the activities. She enjoys the food and has put weight on.

My father was deteriorating rapidly with dementia and so the decision was made to move him into a nursing home in January 2021. The handover was upsetting but dealt with professionally by the staff. Since then he has settled in well, we have had regular contact, weekly blog updates and calls. The visiting
has been really well managed, with residents welfare remaining a high priority. My father is clearly much loved and well cared for by the dedicated team at Linden Lodge and he is obviously at ease here. Plus the grounds are beautiful.

Mum, resident at Linden Lodge from 2016 until November 2020, felt not only safe and secure at Linden but part of a family, particularly with the staff. During the 2020 confinement, we were unable to visit physically with Mum but Linden's staff arranged Facetime video calls every Friday and continued
this routine until the last week of Mum's life. This became a lifeline for me personally, enabling us to maintain contact and for me to see how Mum was getting on. Matron tirelessly circulated daily news keeping us updated with the life, photos and videos at Linden. Mum was a great cook and equally loved the home-cooked food from the Linden kitchen. Mum being very sociable, she thoroughly enjoyed all the fun and activities that became daily routine with the lovely Activity Co-ordinators. We will be forever grateful for the love and care that Matron and her wonderful committed staff provided for Mum and extended to us particularly in her last 48 hours, a time that was precious to me, my brother, and our Mum.

My father was afforded his independence whilst at Linden Lodge, support was available if he needed it.
Covid restrictions limited contact for the majority of 2020, however, the effort made to maintain family contact was good.
End of life care was planned at the appropriate time and my father had
a peaceful and dignified passing.
Staff were great and a credit to the care sector.

Linden Lodge looked after my brother so well. He loved it there, even at the end as his life was going, the staff stayed with him and comforted and cared for him at his end of life. Cannot speak too highly of the staff and everyone at this care home. Fantastic group of people who are dedicated to caring
and making everyone as happy as they possibly can.

The care at Linden Lodge is above excellent. The staff go beyond the call of duty and do so many varied activities for the residents to keep them occupied mentally and physically.
Self-funded so, obviously, being charged a lot - but that is the system which needs to be looked at!

I came in mid-January, very tired and had had 2 falls. My husband was in here too with terminal cancer, sadly he died in March. Everybody has been so kind and supportive and I am so much better after all the good food that I am able to go home now.

My husband entered Linden Lodge when I was unable to nurse him at home. He was cared for by Linden Lodge for just over a year. During this time he was treated with dignity, humility, empathy, and humour. As my husband's condition deteriorated I felt totally included and informed of all our choices.

I would like to welcome you to the Linden Lodge Nursing Home. We are a professional caring team whose aim is to deliver the highest standard of care within a homely environment. We want everyone we care for to “live well in the place and manner of their choice”


I joined LLNH in 1990 and have been the Registered Manager here for the last 20 years.


Being a qualified Registered Nurse with an Orthopaedic Nurse Certificate and a Level 4 Registered Managers award, I am passionate about making this home the best it can be, not only for the residents but also for the staff that work here and become part of our large family.

I have over 14 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. I joined Linden Care Homes in 2019 as a Care Assistant then progressed to a Deputy Manager.


After two years in that role, I am now job-sharing as a Home Manager with our long-standing Registered Manager at Linden Lodge Nursing Home.


I have a real passion for Person-Centred Care, providing the best care and environment for our residents as if they were my own family. Job satisfaction for me is interacting daily with our residents and seeing them happy.


At Linden Care Homes as soon as you walk through the doors, you can feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere.


The whole team are exceptionally kind and caring which gives me a sense of fulfilment unlike anything else I have experienced in my career.

Sister Russel is a highly qualified motivated nurse having achieved a degree in nursing, a leadership and management award level 4/5 and is a practice assessor for student nurses.
Having worked at Linden Care homes for 16 years she has extensive knowledge and skills in adult general nursing, palliative care, end of life care and has tissue viability expertise.


She leads by example promoting person-centred values of individuality, rights, privacy, choice, independence, dignity and partnership.


Her leadership inspires others based on core values of empathy and caring, kindness, compassion, respect and integrity.


Maintaining high standards of nursing care at all times within our nursing unit, she and her team of nurses and health care staff uphold evidence base practices to prioritise residents in their care to ensure that their needs are recognised, assessed, responded to and their dignity is preserved.

We are responsible for cleanliness in all areas in the Home ensuring the environment is clean, tidy and safe.


I am very passionate about my work and dedicated to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness for our Residents.


I am married with two daughters and a grandson and am very family orientated.

I started my career at Linden Lodge Nursing Home in 2003 as a kitchen assistant weekend job whilst still at school.


Linden Lodge encouraged me to go to catering college where I trained to be a cook.


During my time at Linden Lodge I have steadily improved my skills and am now Head of Catering for all Linden Care Homes Ltd and am responsible for the standard of catering in all three homes. I have been here for 18 years and I love my job.
