Mockley Manor has recently received a £4 Million investment and renovation project by owners Coate Water Care Co Ltd.

The project has seen the addition of many new features and given the home a very homely yet extremely luxurious feel.

Mockley Manor now have 28 Beautifully furnished, spacious Care suites to add to the already popular 33 bedrooms available.

New luxury facilities such as The Mockley Manor Picture House Cinema, Barbarella's hair & beauty salon, welcome coffee shop and wellness suite are all designed and dressed in luxury hotel standard fabrics and fittings.

Alongside these fantastic new areas to be enjoyed by residents and families alike is the addition of new technological advancements in residents safety with IR monitoring, medication administration and electronic care planning using the newly launched person-centred software.

New care suites are now available and with over 70 per cent already occupied, are becoming very popular.

Mockley Manor provides care directed towards helping adults with nursing needs live an independent lifestyle, at the same time as having their health and well-being safeguarded.

My partner was transferred from Warwick Hospital on 25th June 2020. He suffered from Alzheimer's Disease, was seriously ill and immobile. From the moment he entered the home he was given the most wonderful care. After several months he was moved from the nursing section of the home to the care section
and within hours he began to respond to staff and fellow residents alike. All the staff knew him and gave him respect, compassion and day-to-day care and support - they were his second family. He went into Mockley unable to communicate but was soon able to lose his frustrations and smile and joke (in his own special way). We described the progress he made as a "mini miracle". As his partner, I was kept informed by the manager and nursing staff of his health and wellbeing throughout his stay at the home. Sadly, on 1st September 2022, he was taken ill with aspiration pneumonia and passed away that evening. I cannot recommend Mockley Manor highly enough.

Mum was transferred to Mockley Manor for end-of-life care. She could not have been cared for and looked after with more care and compaction than if she had been with her own family. This applies to everyone who works at Mockley Manor.

My aunt, aged 97, went into Mockley Manor on 28th June 2022 following a time in hospital and another home in Birmingham. She was very frail and immobile following a fall on 23rd May. The care and attention both for herself, myself and my wife who had come up from Kent were excellent. Things were carefully
explained by staff when we arrived. We returned to Kent after a few days to settle her in, but were called back on July 3rd as she had deteriorated. She was comatose but being cared for by 2 carers when we arrived. She was dealt with with dignity as she gradually slipped away. There was a male carer who was very good in the evening before she died at 10.03 pm. Everything was well done for her and we were very impressed by the home.

The manager and her staff at Mockley Manor have given my mother some quality back into her life. Before she became a resident at Mockley Manor her life was of very poor quality as she would not allow anyone to help her with her very complex needs. At 90 years old and suffering with dementia, I needed
to find her the right care home setting. I had heard about how amazing Mockley Manor had been for other residents so was delighted when Mum was offered a place there. The support, respect and compassion that Mum has received is fantastic and I am now rest assured that she is receiving the best care possible. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done to support my mother and for all the emails I have received reporting on her progress. Thank you so so much.

I cannot express fully the gratitude I feel to the staff at Mockley Manor. My mother was there for 7 and a half years. I live in Spain and we were skyping long before anyone else. My mother was treated with dignity and care and people went over and above to ensure her comfort. They were her family.

What a brilliant team run by the ever-patient home manager. My husband, having originally been booked in for a short period of respite, had to have his stay extended in challenging family circumstances. The staff have been tremendously supportive, caring, attentive and responded quickly, efficiently
and with compassion, sensitivity and adaptability to his and the families changing needs. Communication with family has been exemplary. It is also a beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable environment with a varied and tasty menu. Thank you team.

Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Mockley Manor - everyone plays a part in the health and wellbeing of their residents.
Mum has complex health/medical and social needs that vary day-to-day. She is monitored closely, and her needs are anticipated and met; the manager and her team miss nothing.
The team also take time to support us as a family. Visits can at times be difficult, having recently experienced one of these our Father, who was upset, received empathy and compassion from the staff. The following day we received a photograph of Mum, smiling from ear to ear having visited the onsite hairdresser. The smile on Mum's face was matched by Dad's when he saw the photo says it all.
The kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness residents and their families receive are exemplary.

My mum was a resident at Mockley Manor for approximately 18 months, until she passed away in April this year. As a family, it took us some time to find the right home for our mum and we are so grateful that we found Mockley Manor. Like anyone who is trying to find the right place for their loved one,
we struggled with the idea of handing over care to someone else, but we didn’t hand over Mum's care, we worked together with the staff at Mockley to make sure she was happy, well looked after and in an environment she could consider to be her home. The staff are an amazing team, every single one of them. Right to the very end we couldn’t have wished for more and during Covid times when visiting was restricted, we know everyone did their very best to make up for the lack of physical contact with families and did everything they could to keep our mom safe and happy.

My mom was taken into hospital in November 2020 and until she came to Mockley Manor in January 2021, I wasn't able to see her due to the pandemic. The manager and staffs kindness and heartfelt compassion for my sadness at not being able to see my mom was wonderful. They arranged window visits and Skype
calls and kept me informed and never minded how many times I telephoned to check how mom was doing. I cannot fault the managers and staff who care for my mom they are amazing. I can now visit my mom as a regular visitor in accordance with the government guidelines which is wonderful. My mom is so happy and although it's never about me; as I only want perfect care for my mom; the manager and all the staff care about how myself and my family are too. Thank you so much.

I personally need to thank the most amazing home manager who has gone above and beyond the duty of any manager for my dad. More importantly, I need to pay my absolute gratitude for one lady who I had the pleasure of speaking to on the phone and literally saved my dad's life after Dad only being in her
care for two days. This member of staff is an absolute inspiration to every carer out there. At such a crucial time in a pandemic you single-handed allowed me to raise my concerns that you did not just listen to, you heard. As the hospital will confirm, you saved my dad's life. There are no words that will ever be enough to be said for this remarkable home. I am only sorry my dad couldn’t remain in your care, but you all should be so proud that Dad returned back to a nursing home. You are all such amazing people. Thank you.

The last few months have been particularly testing and emotional for residents, family and staff at the home. As a daughter of one of the residents who has vascular dementia, this has been a worrying time. The carer at Mockley Manor has been so important in keeping contact between my mum and our family
ongoing. We have a weekly Skype call every week which has been so reassuring and comforting, as we cannot visit the home. A big thank you to her and all the staff for their hard work.

My wife was accepted for end of life care and the care she received was so caring, we could not have asked for anything better. The accommodation was first class and made her happy to be there. The staff were all very caring and sympathetic. The medical staff were superb in monitoring her condition
and the end of life care was very peaceful. If you need care, you will not find anywhere better. Thank you to all the staff. I am very grateful for your care.

Mom was at Mockley Manor for end of life care after becoming very unwell after a fall.
I was only able to visit inside the home once (due to coronavirus), but everything appeared well organised, clean and staff were caring. Use of PPE for my visit was well explained and access was controlled. There
was nothing I could fault given the difficult times we are currently living in.
It has been a difficult time for me and my family but this knowledge, willingness to provide updates on my mom and spending time to talk and explain what was happening, and what could happen, gave me comfort and knowledge that mom was in safe hands.
Based on what I was told, when mom was at her more lucid, she seemed to be happy (and cheeky) while there. I know having company, and people to talk with would have made her happy in itself.
I would like to thank everyone including cleaners, laundry staff and cooks as well as the nursing staff for their care. Everyone has a part in the caring process.

My Dad was transferred to Mockley Manor on 25th February 2020, he was very ill and had severe dementia with many needs. I cannot praise the staff team enough who cared and nursed my dad, they were incredibly respectful and full of care and compassion not only for my Dad but also, the family who visited.
We
chose this nursing home because all staff had end of life training and we saw it in action with Dad. He was only there 2 days before he passed away on the 27th Feb but they did absolutely everything for him with such kindness and it really helped us as a family, to be able to leave him at night and know he would be taken care of with kindness and all his needs met.
The rooms are beautiful and very peaceful with spectacular views.
I would highly recommend this nursing home and it would be my first choice if I needed to use their services again.
Thank you to all the carers, nurses, and all the staff who did their very best for my Dad in the last 2 days of his life.

My father-in-law was cared for by the wonderful staff at Mockley Manor for the last 3.5 years of his life. The family always found the staff to be professional, caring and compassionate. The care home is clean and welcoming. Due to my father-in-law's illness, he was bedbound and unable to interact
at all towards the end of his life. However, it was apparent to the family the level of affection the staff had for him and how they provided dignified care for him until the day he passed. The staff were very kind and friendly to all of the family and helped us all cope with the final days over the Christmas period. Management are very approachable and knowledgeable.

The management team have always been quick to respond to questions and comments and there is a homely, caring ethos throughout the home.

Overall, my mother has been well looked after. I am a little disappointed that her hearing aids have been mislaid for the third time and that it's taking quite a long time to sort them out. Whilst the extensive building project has been going, parking has sometimes been difficult. However, Mockley Manor
is a safe, caring and well-run establishment.

Hello, my name is Rachael and I am proud to be the Registered Manager for Mockley Manor Care Home. I have worked at the care home for 12 years, 10 of those years under the ownership of Coate Water Care. I am a registered nurse by background and have a degree in Palliative Care. My passion is for high standards and quality care, ensuring the residents are cared for in a homely environment surrounded by beautiful countryside and belongings of their own. I have worked as a nurse for over 25 years and have worked my way up to the role of Registered Manager.


Working for a family-managed company, in my opinion, is much better than larger groups, each home is individually managed and we have a degree of autonomy on how we manage the home. In addition, we have the support of a smaller management team who knows every resident and staff member which is important to me. I feel that this method allows the home to feel empowered, supported and directed as well as ensures essential care is given.


Family is essential and I am privileged to be able to work with my own family at the home, my husband works on maintenance, and other staff members have siblings or family members also working at home.


What I love the most about my job is that each day is different, I am privileged to work with some very dedicated and skilled staff. I am part of the overseas nursing programme and help train and support new staff. I also have a great relationship with the team I work with and the relatives of the residents I care for. I can honestly say that I do love my job.
