Mockley Manor has recently received a £4 Million investment and renovation project by owners Coate Water Care Co Ltd.

The project has seen the addition of many new features and given the home a very homely yet extremely luxurious feel.

Mockley Manor now have 28 Beautifully furnished, spacious Care suites to add to the already popular 33 bedrooms available.

New luxury facilities such as The Mockley Manor Picture House Cinema, Barbarella's hair & beauty salon, welcome coffee shop and wellness suite are all designed and dressed in luxury hotel standard fabrics and fittings.

Alongside these fantastic new areas to be enjoyed by residents and families alike is the addition of new technological advancements in residents safety with IR monitoring, medication administration and electronic care planning using the newly launched person-centred software.

New care suites are now available and with over 70 per cent already occupied, are becoming very popular.

Mockley Manor provides care directed towards helping adults with nursing needs live an independent lifestyle, at the same time as having their health and well-being safeguarded.

Each resident benefits from their own care planning checklist that is regularly updated to reflect personal needs, while being compliant with the latest regulatory demands.

One of the best nursing homes we visited, recommended by my auntie as my uncle was in there. Staff and management very pleasant and friendly. However, some people wait too long when needing the toilet, especially when people are unable to do things for themselves. Food could be better, sometimes there
are no eggs or soup. How can such a large place not have enough supplies? Also, the care home is well understaffed, which then effects clients care

I volunteer at the home mainly at weekends as I am currently doing my Duke of Edinburgh Awards, the staff always make me feel welcome and the home is so nice. It is clean, everyone is friendly and nothing is too much for any of the staff. I am not made to feel like an outsider, I am part of the team,
allowed to help with activities or painting residents nails, or one of my favourites is to read the newspaper to one of the residents on a Sunday, she tells me she looks forward to me coming.
I know care can be a hard job and is often in the press but I cannot recommend the team at Mockley Manor as they are always happy, and the food looks nice!

My wife and I toured around many homes and were completely bewildered before we found Mockley Manor, where we found gold. My dad was very resistant to being in a nursing home at that time and was tricky, to say the least. However, the management and staff were wonderful, patient and also so reassuring
to us, as we live two hours away. My dad had mobility issues but also age-related health problems which the staff took in their stride. When my dad's heath recently declined further, nothing was too much trouble in nursing him until he passed away. Prior to his death, the staff even arranged a 91st birthday celebration and cake for him. I cannot recommend the home and the staff highly enough. It has been such a comfort to us over the last few months to know that he has been so well cared for.

My mother gained a place at Mockley Manor in December 2018, following a couple of falls at home, hospitalisation and the hospital decision that Mum could not go back to her home as she needed full-time care. My brother and I were very fortunate that Mum had been assigned an excellent care worker who
gave great advice and support. We looked at a number of care homes before deciding on Mockley Manor. Whilst not the most modern of premises it had a good feel to it and seemed to have that extra something that was missing at other care homes we looked at. It has proved to be a wonderful place for Mum. Although she is not always sure where she is, she is very contented and has settled in really well. The level of services provided including routine and nursing care, food, hairdressing, podiatry, opticians, medical support and social activities are all very good. The staff are exceptional, providing not just care but also love for each of the residents. We fully recommend Mockley Manor.

My father gained a place at Mockley Manor in August 2018. As he is suffering from ever-worsening dementia it took him a while to settle in. His nighttime semi-conscious bouts of 'fighting his demons' are not easy to cope with but the staff knew exactly how to manage and with their caring care he has
become more relaxed and the night time episodes are diminishing in severity. By freely giving care and attention the staff have brought about in him a feeling of security. It is possible that continual routine care has allowed him to develop some sense of understanding that there will always be someone there for him if he feels scared or unsure. They will make him clean, comfortable, warm and well fed. They will be his friends, all of the staff, everybody will help him in a time of need.

My Dad had Parkinson's Disease, and in summer 2014 we knew he would need to be in a home. After a recommendation, we visited a couple of places, but Mockley Manor was the friendliest and luckily had a vacancy, so Dad moved in. Unfortunately, Mum became ill shortly after and had to undergo major surgery.
The manager kindly offered Mum her own room for some recuperation, and they lived together there for just over a year. Sadly Mum died a year ago, followed by Dad in May.


Throughout their time as residents, they were cheerful, and although not social mixers, had great relationships with the staff. As neither my sister or myself lived locally, it was a great comfort to know that they were being looked after when we weren't there and that all the staff would let us know if there were any concerns, and supported Dad when Mum died. Due to their circumstances, it was the only way they could be cared for together.


We are so grateful they were able to do this, and miss visiting!

Whilst my father's stay at Mockley Manor was sadly brief, I cannot praise highly enough the standard of care and kindness shown to my father, my mother and the rest of my family.
The staff - from the Manager, her assistant, right the way through to the kitchen were excellent - so friendly and compassionate
to the end, and I will never be able to thank them enough for letting Dad see out his last few days in such a caring atmosphere.

We are very pleased with our experience and my husband is well cared for. The carers do a good job, sometimes very stressful times for them but always with a smile. The food is sometimes bland but generally quite good. The activities could be improved but of course, not everyone wants to join in. The
'Home' does a fantastic job, my husband has settled in well, we are always made welcome when we go to visit him which is lovely. The manager and her team are really superb. Well done to them all!

I feel I was so lucky to have found this care home for my mother. She was so independent and I really didn't think she would settle. As she was unable to stand and a serious cancer diagnosis was arrived at I thought she would give up. After a few days at Mockley Manor I found she looked better and had
recovered her zest for life. She needs a lot of care and always receives kindness and consideration from the staff. She said her 97th birthday in the care home was the best ever. Quite a tribute to her care.

My husband has only been at Mockley Manor since 16th September this year. I have only praise for the management, nurses, carers, cleaner and any other staff members. They all do a fantastic job. Anytime I have asked for nay help or ask for something to be done for him it has been dealt with without
question. They are a very happy group of people. I cannot think of anywhere else I would like him to be. They treat all the family with respect. I think it is a very nice place for anyone to be in there.

The care home has a lovely warm friendly environment, and the carers always take the time to speak to residents and their family and friends.
We appreciate resources are stretched to the maximum due to finance restrictions, and the carers and nurses have to do ridiculous hours. But we have never felt
in my Fathers time there that he has ever been neglected. Ideally, we'd love him to have more personal care but appreciate this is not possible. But he is always clean, warm and being fed and that is paramount to his health

Hello, my name is Rachael and I am proud to be the Registered Manager for Mockley Manor Care Home. I have worked at the care home for 12 years, 10 of those years under the ownership of Coate Water Care. I am a registered nurse by background and have a degree in Palliative Care. My passion is for high standards and quality care, ensuring the residents are cared for in a homely environment surrounded by beautiful countryside and belongings of their own. I have worked as a nurse for over 25 years and have worked my way up to the role of Registered Manager.


Working for a family-managed company, in my opinion, is much better than larger groups, each home is individually managed and we have a degree of autonomy on how we manage the home. In addition, we have the support of a smaller management team who knows every resident and staff member which is important to me. I feel that this method allows the home to feel empowered, supported and directed as well as ensures essential care is given.


Family is essential and I am privileged to be able to work with my own family at the home, my husband works on maintenance, and other staff members have siblings or family members also working at home.


What I love the most about my job is that each day is different, I am privileged to work with some very dedicated and skilled staff. I am part of the overseas nursing programme and help train and support new staff. I also have a great relationship with the team I work with and the relatives of the residents I care for. I can honestly say that I do love my job.
