Visitors are welcome at any time to Newlands. WCS Care also provides a relatives' gateway, giving loved ones access to care and activity notes from anywhere with an internet connect (with appropriate consents in place).

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're pleased to hear that your brother is happy here - it means a lot to us. After completing the enhancements to the living spaces within the home we've now started to concentrate our efforts on improvements to the outdoor areas. We'd be happy to show you the changes during your next visit. I can assure you we're in regular communication with the NHS about your brother's hearing aids, however as you may be aware the NHS are currently managing longer than usual waiting lists which is impacting on his appointment. In the meantime, we've contacted the local opticians to arrange a hearing appointment which will hopefully provide other temporary solutions. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak with me or a member of my team. We're always here to help.

Job Title: Home Manager
Joined: 2000
I’m the Home Manager for Newlands and have been with WCS Care for over 20 years.
I started at Newlands as an Enabler/Carer for a year, before learning more about care delivery and leadership as a Senior Enabler. After returning from maternity leave, I developed my frontline experience as a Night Enabler before overseeing and leading our resident-focused care as Care Co-ordinator, Deputy Home Manager and then Home Manager.
What I love about being at WCS are the connections I've had with many of our residents. I’ve been at Newlands ever since joining, so I’ve been able to build special relationships with the people we’ve been caring for over the years.
I also love making sure my team are happy and aware I'm always there to listen and support them when needed.
Outside of work, I like going to festivals with my son, relaxing in nature and baking special occasion cakes for friends and family.
