I can't explain how anxious I was when I realised my Grandmother needed respite, as soon as I knew that the staff were kind and compassionate. From the moment I rang to enquire and the support I received I know it was the place for us. The assistance with transporting her to the home, with care we received
as soon as we arrived put us both at complete ease. Thank you!

My dad came from a hospice to Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home in September. Even though he was only there until the end of October when he sadly died, I cannot thank them enough. The staff will always hold a special place in my heart and eased my anxiety of him going into a care home. Even in those
short weeks, I knew my dad was safe and well looked after and more importantly, I felt included and could visit anytime, even stay with him which was really important to me. There is always someone to offer you support and words of advice and comfort and I will never forget any of them. They truly are angels.

Large, pleasantly situated home on the outskirts of Leamington Spa.
En-suite for room was dated and had no shower socker.
Carers extremely caring and hepful.

Three weeks respite care.
Well-worth stay. Excellent food and care. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Even celebrated birthday with beautiful cake, share with staff. Not expected.
Bedroom rather small but kept clean etc. Difficult for working on computer.

Every time I visit, there is a lovely atmosphere and greeted warmly by the staff. It feels like a home from home. My friend has settled in really well and is very happy with the home and staff, she always said she is well looked after and everyone is friendly. The home always looks clean and tidy and
there is always someone on hand to ask if you need to check anything.

I love visiting the home, you are always made welcome, cuppa tea and lunch when you require it and ordered from the receptionist. I visit my friend. I have recommended another person that I look after to visit the home for respite which at present, she is here. The staff are always helpful. The resident
loves it here, might stay again. Plenty of activities for the residents to take part in and trips out on the minibus.
I recommend Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home.

Since my sister-in-law came to Cubbington Mill there has been a real change in her (for the better). She is eating more regularly, although she has had a couple of falls, none of which was the fault of the home or the staff, we have also noticed how well she's doing since she came here.

I normally visit on Wednesdays and go to the restaurant for lunch. I always enjoy the meal, and I am very pleased with the welcome and attention from the friendly staff. I also note that the patients are treated with thorough care and kindness.

Mum was at Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home for ten months. From our initial contact with the staff to organise Mum moving in until we brought her home last week, we, as a family, have been so delighted with their levels of care.
Mum has been looked after so well and with kindness and patience,
and she has felt safe and well taken care of.
The activities the coordinator organises are brilliant, the manager is so proactive about new ideas for the residents and staff and local community and the member of staff at reception is one of a kind, what a wonderful lady she is and the happiest person I’ve ever met! The nursing team are professional but also compassionate, every single member of the Cubbington Mill team is an absolute angel, and I mean every single member of the team!
If Mum ever needed care again, we would have no hesitation to take her back, every family member of a resident becomes a member of the Cubbington Mill family.
We were so lucky to have found Cubbington Mill.

My aunt moved in recently with her sister who sadly died a few days later. The care and support she is receiving is superb. The manager and finance person are going out of their way to help me navigate the changes brought due to probate. I can't thank them enough - they are making a difficult time more

My name is Laura Russell, and I am the Home Manager here at Cubbington Mill.


I am a registered nurse and I qualified in 2009 studying at Coventry University. Since then I have spent time working as a senior nurse in a surgical ward before moving on to district nursing. I completed further studies at Birmingham University whilst district nursing and I love to learn and keep up to date with my nursing practice. It is through district nursing that I came to love nursing homes and took the plunge to go into deputising in a nursing home before progressing to management of nursing homes.


I am excited and privileged to be working for Barchester and warmly embrace the opportunities this position will give me. I have a very open approach and strive to deliver the highest quality care to the residents and their families. I look forward to welcoming you to Cubbington Mill.

Waldemar has worked at Cubbington Mill since 2005. He is the Health & Safety Coordinator and is responsible for all aspects of the upkeep of the home. He is a "Green Leaf Champion" and in 2014, we achieved the “very good standard” award for environmental performance thanks to Waldemar’s continuous efforts to improve Cubbington Mill’s carbon footprint. Waldemar can often be found keeping our prize-winning gardens, for which we have received a gold award for the 10th consecutive year 'Leamington in Bloom'! He was also awarded Barchester's 'Maintenance Champion 2017'. When he is not decorating or busy in the gardens, he can be found driving the minibus on resident’s days out.
