Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home provide first – class 24 hour nursing care for residents in a welcoming and friendly environment. This team of highly qualified and attentive staff really focus on the individual needs of residents with a tailored care plan for each person.

Their dedication can be seen across the board – in an award winning menu, hospitality and organised activities for residents. Activity Co-ordinators work with Help the Aged as well as all of their residents to plan a complete range of activities which includes trips, entertainment, cooking and gardening.

Cubbington Mill is a purpose built care home set in beautiful landscape gardens in Cubbington, close to the pretty town of Royal Leamington Spa.

A beautiful home in a lovely location.
The staff are extremely friendly, the nursing is worth the grading of a hotel. It is spotless - I even asked if they did holiday home lets!
A nursing home you should be very proud of.

Dad is in Cubbington Mill on respite a the moment. Although he has been there two weeks. He has only spent 6 nights in the home. He fell after 5 nights and was admitted to hospital for 8 nights. I was asked by his doctor in hospital where I wanted dad to be. I had no reservations on saying return to
the care home. His care and appearance is so much better than in hospital. We are asking are asking as of next week for permanent stay at Cubbington Mill.

Laura Russell

My name is Laura Russell, and I am the Home Manager here at Cubbington Mill.


I am a registered nurse and I qualified in 2009 studying at Coventry University. Since then I have spent time working as a senior nurse in a surgical ward before moving on to district nursing. I completed further studies at Birmingham University whilst district nursing and I love to learn and keep up to date with my nursing practice. It is through district nursing that I came to love nursing homes and took the plunge to go into deputising in a nursing home before progressing to management of nursing homes.


I am excited and privileged to be working for Barchester and warmly embrace the opportunities this position will give me. I have a very open approach and strive to deliver the highest quality care to the residents and their families. I look forward to welcoming you to Cubbington Mill.

Louise has been caring for the residents of Cubbington Mill since 2000 and is well known amongst staff and residents alike for her big smile and bubbly personality.

Waldemar has worked at Cubbington Mill since 2005. He is the Health & Safety Coordinator and is responsible for all aspects of the upkeep of the home. He is a "Green Leaf Champion" and in 2014, we achieved the “very good standard” award for environmental performance thanks to Waldemar’s continuous efforts to improve Cubbington Mill’s carbon footprint. Waldemar can often be found keeping our prize-winning gardens, for which we have received a gold award for the 10th consecutive year 'Leamington in Bloom'! He was also awarded Barchester's 'Maintenance Champion 2017'. When he is not decorating or busy in the gardens, he can be found driving the minibus on resident’s days out.

I would like to think I am approachable kind, caring, funny and a good listener. If you aren't careful my practical jokes might catch you out so bear in mind you've been warned!
