Staff at April Park have been caring and looked after my friend extremely well. They have gone the extra mile even in trying circumstances.
Food is very good and residents are a very friendly lot.

Mum and dad reside at April Park Care Home. I have asked their opinion and they have both said what a wonderful place it is. All the staff are caring and thoughtful. The only thing missing is a driver for the minibus. This position is most important and should be a priority. All in all, a great place
with great staff.

Although no one wants to be in a care home if you have to be in one this is one of the better ones. The rooms are very nice. Staff are very friendly and look as though they really care about the residents. Meals are very good.

I always feel safe and secure at April Park Care Home. The staff are lovely and we are treated very well. The food is excellent and we can choose an option if we don't want whats on the menu. The managers are very approachable and the overall cleanliness of the home has improved.

Home was alright. There was a decent choice of food and we went into the dining room with all of the others, which was good. Didn't go hungry. Taken to showers - good. The staff were always nice and called me by my name. All were genuine and tried to help, even though they were very busy. Xmas dinner
ordinary. All the ladies staying there were friendly and talked. The volunteer was very nice. One lady was made to walk but couldn't and she cried. No trips out which was disappointing. On the whole, not a bad home.

Mum was allocated a freshly decorated room which was lovely and quiet. The staff I encountered were extremely friendly and welcoming, each time I visited, which was daily.
Mum didn't really mix with the other residents and stayed in her room for meals etc...
The staff made sure she was OK and took
the time to chat with her. During her stay they staff put on a celebration party for the homes anniversary, this was a lovely gesture and passed a few hours for all tho attended - thank you.
(A good idea to repeat this for Easter/spring/summer etc...)

April Park is a care home and my wife really needed a nursing home. Nonetheless, the care was such that I asked them to keep her there. She was very ill and died shortly after. I don't think a nursing home could have provided better care.

Quick respite arranged. Lovely helpful staff.
The billing process and communication is not great between the care home and the office.

My mother went into April Park 3 1/2 years ago. She was ill couldn't manage at home. The staff were brilliant, soon her health improved and she looked upon the staff as her extended family. She enjoyed her food but had Crohns and Diverticulitis. The cook always made sure there was something suitable
for her needs. The manager and her team have "gone the extra mile" for mum. Mum made friends with other residents and enjoyed meal times chatting to them. Many thanks to everyone who made mums time there a happy one.

My father in Law is becoming increasingly confused and forgetful and the staff at April Park are unfailingly patient and understanding. I have nothing but admiration for the way they look after, not only my relative but all residents, with compassion, humour and patience.

I am more than pleased with the care given to my mother and late father at April Park.
The staff are always friendly towards us and were very helpful during the period between my father's death and his funeral. They continue to be very caring and helpful.

Mum went into April Park Nursing Home for respite following a fall at home. She had a minimal care package and as her condition has deteriorated quite quickly mum has stayed in the home. The rooms are comfortable and are being decorated one by one. Mum is still waiting to be re-plastered around the
new sink unit. 90% of the staff are absolutely brilliant. There are the few 10% who seem to be there just for a wage. The food is very good and the standard of cleanliness is 100%. The door is always open to visitors.

In response to your concern, our home is currently undergoing lots of renovations and the bedrooms are included in this.
Some of our bedrooms have had new sink units in place and for these to be fitted correctly the existing tiles needed to be removed. We are aware that there are new tiles required and this has been raised with our property help desk and they have assured me the job is to be completed as soon as possible.
When I have a start date for this work I will speak to the family members and Residents it affects and keep everyone up to date.

Attentive, diligent, professional, caring, patient, kind. The staff interact with and know all the residents. The care home smells nice and, having visited a few, this is not always the case. The food is freshly cooked and served with a variety of menu to suit each resident. If ever there has been a
problem with my mother the staff are attentive and keep me informed. Despite the numerous mental health issues the staff have to deal with I have never heard a raised voice from them and I am totally from worry about mums care.

I found the home to be a very relaxed and comfortable place to be. The management and the other staff are very friendly and professional and are always around to help. The home is very clean and very fresh smelling. The residents were very comfortable and happy in themselves. I would have no hesitation
