Thank you for the kind and supportive words regarding our care of your mum. We are sorry we no longer have the use of our own minibus but we continue to explore other means of ensuring our residents' links with the community continue, and outings are still taking place, but have been limited during winter. We are continually looking to improve our means of ensuring our resident's well-being remains the highest they can be, especially through our activities program. Hopefully, you will be able to continue to take part in these across the coming months. Any input you may have regarding your mum's preference would be most welcomed.

We are very upset and concerned that you felt your mum's stay was not as you would have expected and offer our sincerest condolences to you and your family at this sad time, as well as our apologies for your concerns raised. We take pride in our end of life care delivery and have not received any concerns regarding this in the past, though we fully understand that everyone's experiences are different. Although this will not offer you any immediate comfort, we do not disclose intimate details regarding resident's care to callers over the telephone as we cannot confirm who they are, this is standard practice within the healthcare industry. Visiting at such delicate times is encouraged and welcomed, again I apologize if you feel these times were lacking in any way. Please be assured that we take all concerns seriously and aim to use feedback in a positive manner to continuously improve our service and care to our residents, your concerns and feelings will be shared with the team.

I am very sorry that your mum sustained a fall during her short stay with us at Brookview and for the distress this has caused to her and also to you as her family. While we take great care to put systems in place to minimise the risk of such an incident, sadly, despite our best efforts, we are unable to totally eliminate the risk that occasionally an individual in our care may fall and sustain such an injury. We take seriously any concerns raised and will thoroughly investigate what has happened in this case ensuring that any possible improvements are identified and put into place

The management and staff take on board this comment about some of our clients that have reduced capacity yet, retain the ability to walk around the home freely. It is a difficult balance to ensure that everyone's rights are respected in terms of being able to express themselves by walking around their home but ensuring those confined to their bedrooms are not too affected. By the nature of our home, in that we are registered to accept persons with cognitive decline, we do deploy as many control measures as possible to reduce any risk or distress from others.

Job Title: Registered Home Manager

Lindsay has been a qualified nurse since 1991 and has spent most of her nursing career caring for the elderly population. She trained at Rotherham District General Hospital prior to commencing her career in the private Elderly Care Home Sector.
She is qualified in Risk Management, NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care and maintains her Nursing PIN Number through regular training and updating of her practice.
Lindsay has held a number of roles within the private sector over the last 25 years ranging from Qualified Nurse through to Managing Director, however, as her passion remains in the close care of the elderly, she stepped back from senior management in order to run Brookview.
Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Kate qualified as a Nurse in 1988 in Poland and initially worked in a Military Hospital specialising in Neuroscience and Neurosurgery. She moved to the UK in 2005 and commenced her employment with Brookview in May 2007.
Kate plays a significant role in the Management of Brookview alongside Lindsay and with her wealth of nursing knowledge, we know we can offer the most up to date and safe nursing care in the area.
Kate has continued to update her skills and practice by becoming a recognised Dysphasic Specialist, is our End of Life Champion, is highly skilled in Tissue Viability as well as currently studying for her NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care Management. She is an integral part of the management team here at Brookview and splits her working week between being on shift as the nurse and working alongside the manager improving our practice and reputation.
Job Title: Administrator

Hayley has worked at Brookview for the last 12 years as our Administrator and Receptionist, in that time she has witnessed many changes and improvements throughout the home.
Hayley is highly qualified in accounting and business administration and is solely responsible for our resident's monies and fee collection. She is an integral part of the management team and is probably the first person members of the public would come into contact with when visiting the home.
