I always get a polite, helpful and friendly welcome from staff. They always ensure all Covid protocols are implemented fully. The home is really well run, giving the greatest care for all the residents. They are treated with great care, dignity and respect. The fees are very good value for money. It
is always a pleasure to visit and knowing my friend is so well cared for and secure.

My grandma has been here for nearly 2 weeks, everyone has made her feel very welcome and been very kind to her. She seems to be settling in and happy.

My dad was at Chatsworth Lodge originally for respite care. He enjoyed his stay there and was well looked after, enjoying it so much he wanted to stay. Staff were caring and also took the time to get to know Dad and his likes and dislikes and encouraged Dad to get involved with activities laid on especially
at the care home, which he did.
I can't praise them enough especially during these difficult times.

I felt safe and secure during my week's respite care and was well treated by the staff. Unfortunately, frequent disturbances from other residents were distressing, especially at night.

Chatsworth Lodge provides a very welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
Staff are efficient, caring and friendly and most go beyond the call of duty to accommodate the resident's needs.

I cannot praise the staff enough for the care and support they have given to my Mum and all the residents at Chatsworth Lodge in this very difficult time. My Mum has celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday and even though as a family we have missed this big milestone celebration, the staff made it a
very special day for her.
The dedication to keep residents safe has been fantastic, as a family we cannot thank you enough.

I was most surprised at the outcome of my wife being admitted to Chatsworth Lodge. The service and hard work by the staff and the friendly residents gave her much pleasure and brightened her life considerably. She is extremely well looked after and enjoys her life there.

I can't praise you enough. The moment I walked in, I knew my mum was in safe, caring hands. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Staff engaged the residents well and were always upbeat, lifting the spirits of the residents and their relatives. I have always been made welcome and would have been very

My father in law moved to Chatsworth Lodge a year ago after a batch of ill health. He is not able to move around on his own anymore so living here has given him the constant safety and security he now needs with care staff on hand to attend to his needs including personal hygiene and washing clothes.
The day accommodation is warm, bright and airy. He is not able to join in with some of the entertainment arranged but the TV areas and hustle and bustle of activities help to create a homely (not alone) feel. Meals are regular, ample and well presented. Night time accommodation is comfortable with many additional safety features introduced to counteract his nocturnal activities as he has the propensity to fall out of bed. The home reliably manages prescribed drugs and ensures medical attention is provided. It has given me peace of mind knowing he is in a place of safety during this difficult time of his life.

The staff are friendly and caring with good efforts of communication to residents. The cooks ask what meal is requested individually to the residents. But staffing levels or just haste to get people up means skin creams and sometimes teeth cleaning do not happen. A good atmosphere.
Issues:-
Hearing
aids can be lost and found days later.
Clothes/toiletries are lost eg a named coat.
Chiropodist infrequent.
Laundry - clothes returned to the wrong room.

I visit the home every week. I feel like I know everyone there. The staff are very very friendly. If I want anything at all, it is never too much trouble for them. Staff are very good with the residents.

Staff are generally friendly and helpful. My uncle is not a fan of loud TVs having reasonable hearing himself. Also, not a fan of group activities although I can see the benefit amongst other residents.

My aunty has been in Chatsworth Lodge for one month so it is early days to have witnessed 'across the board' but I can say the staff are all excellent and caring and welcoming to all visitors and the care my aunt has received has been very good so far. The other residents all appear happy and well looked
after.

Hello! My name is Zenka Shires, and I'm the Home Manager at Chatsworth Lodge Care Home in Chesterfield.


I've worked in care for over 25 years, and have the experience of working my way up from being a Care Assistant, to Senior Care Assistant, and through to the Management levels since joining Chatsworth Lodge in 1995.


Chatsworth Lodge holds a special place in my heart, and our friendly team are here to make your loved ones feel comfortable, safe and happy. Come by and say hi anytime!
