My friend received quality care from each individual she encountered in Eckington Court for the six weeks she was there. Visitors were also made to feel extremely welcome. My friend was treated with respect, dignity and kindness. Thanks to you all.

I cannot find the right words to express my gratitude for the last 16 months. The staff at Eckington Court Nursing Home, became my mum's extended family. They showed her love, respect and dignity. They made us her family feel that we were apart of that family too. When she passed away in October of
this year, mum's carers and nurses were there for us also.
We had found that this wonderful home was full of love, it was spotlessly clean, no nasty smells. The meals gorgeous. Mum loved it here. A very happy home. Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of our hearts for your wonderful care of my Mum xx

My brother and I visit our uncle when we can and I have always been impressed by the friendliness of everyone and the homely atmosphere there. I am particularly impressed with how the staff have really gone the extra mile to meet my uncle's needs. We had a family bereavement recently and the staff were
very sensitive to that and have helped him immensely. They have also done their best to meet his health and well-being needs generally. I would be happy to recommend this care home to others.

Words cannot express just what a truly fantastic home this is. The amount of care, respect, love and dignity that the staff show to Residents like my Mother-in-Law are honestly truly amazing. This home is what it says, a HOME. It is maintained to the highest of standards, no nasty smells, etc. the food
doesn't just look good, but tastes lovely. The staff are lovely, friendly and nothing is too much bother for them. My mum-in-law recently had to go to the hospital for a few days, the staff, were certainly quick off the mark to make sure she received medical treatment. I would honestly give this home a very big 10 out of 10. Thank you all of you for taking such great care of my mum-in-law.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.541)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.541) out of 10 for Eckington Court Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.766 for Eckington Court Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.766

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Eckington Court Nursing Home is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.4

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
