Since the end of lockdowns and rolling outbreaks which were very very frustrating it looks! I like we are back to some normality with regards to visiting our son.
He has been enjoying his trips out with his one to one carer.
Meeting up with us at the parks for tea/coffee.
He also went to a cricket
match as he loves sport. We would love for him to have more of these experiences but this is not always possible as not all staff are drivers.
We had an amazing Christmas as he was brought home to us and collected in the evening.
It was good to have a liaison meeting recently with the manager and a few relatives who could attend.
Communication is such an important thing when your family member is unable to communicate withOUT a carer present.
We are truly grateful for the care he is given on a daily basis.

My wife has been in Green Gables for 13-years and has been extremely well cared for. Her MS is now at an advanced stage and requires a lot of care and attention, which is given by the staff at all times.
The last 12-months have been a very difficult time, but the staff and management have coped very
well, updating relative regularly by Email and giving support where they can. The only negative comment is that they are over worked and under paid for the work and commitment they give.

My brother has been a resident at Green Gables for over 30-years, and over that time, he has always been treated with the utmost care and respect. He is, without a doubt, very happy and contented. Frankly, I cannot praise the management and staff too highly.
When they took over the home, I had some
concerns, all of which have been unfounded.
I have complete confidence that my brother is getting the best care possible.

It has been a difficult time for everyone since the Covid 19 outbreak in March 2020. Extremely stressful and worrying as the residents are all very vulnerable. We have had great communication throughout and being able to have door and window visits throughout has kept our spirits and hopes up. The staff
have facilitated video calls whenever we have asked and have done the most amazing job of caring for our son. The staff have entertained and arranged events to compensate for the lack of outdoor visits with family and it is very much appreciated. We will be forever grateful. We were absolutely devastated at the loss of the brilliant, caring manger, who will be so sadly missed for a long time.
