Hollybank House is a delightful Nursing and Residential care home, housed over 2 floors and set in the beautiful countryside of Oakerthorpe, Derbyshire. Many of the rooms are en-suite and all are decorated and furnished to a modern, but homely style.

The Home is set off the main Chesterfield Road and has good transport links available. It is surrounded by majestic gardens and large woodland areas. There is also a well renowned public house situated next door.

The Home boasts an entrance conservatory with seating area, 2 large lounges, a large dining room and conservatory area with adjoined seated garden area.

There is a hairdressing salon and numerous bathrooms, including wet room showers and a newly appointed bathroom with state of the art hoisting equipment.

All staff are trained to the highest standards, whatever their role. This enables them to deliver high standards of care with understanding and dignity.

My husband's parents have been resident at Hollybank House since February 2020 (mum) and July 2020, (dad.)
The care they both receive is beyond exemplary and we rest assured in the knowledge that they are both cared for to the highest standards.
Given the difficulties that they have faced during
the covid19 pandemic, the staff at Hollybank have always gone above and beyond to keep our loved ones safe whilst doing everything they can to keep lines of communication with families going, setting up a Facebook page, video calling and regular news and updates.
We really can't thank the Home Manager and her excellent team at Hollybank House enough for their supreme care, compassion and skill and we would happily recommend them to anyone who requires first class care for a loved one.

Both Mum and Dad are residents at Hollybank House. I cannot fault the care they are given. There is always plenty of activity arranged to keep residents stimulated. Before Covid when we could visit there was always a warm welcoming atmosphere and always a lot of activity.

I am a great believer in trusting my 'gut feeling', and from the first telephone call to the manager to the day Mum passed at Hollybank House, it felt right for her. For a very independent lady to settle so quickly was an indication of the care, support and being treated as an individual which was characteristic
of all the staff and management.

Hollybank House seems to be a home away from home. We had a really nice welcome and introduction from all members of staff. The bedroom was prepared beautifully and was clear and well presented. It appears to be a very happy home. The meals have been given a big thumbs up and have been very enjoyable.

My mum is receiving superb end-of-life care. She is pain-free and happy. The staff are simply superb. I cannot recommend Hollybank House enough. All the staff are magnificent. Thank you so very much.
