My husband moved into Brookfields on December 1st after spending almost 14 weeks in hospital after a stroke. Doctors decided he needed end-of-life care and said he needed to go into a nursing home. I was so against this; I wanted him home with me, but they said his medical care needed proper nursing,
and I needed to be a wife now. We were so lucky to find Brookfields. He was moved early morning into the home, and I had the most uplifting phone call from them saying "morning", we have just had a very special delivery - not sure what he thinks as we are all dressed as elves! I cannot say how just hearing her happy, positive voice immediately put my heart to rest. The care and love shown from that day has never changed. Christmas was just perfect for us with all the family and just a happy day. He is now not drinking, eating or talking, and I am spending all my time with him, treasuring our time together. Thank you to all the wonderful, caring staff at Brookfields.

The entire team at Brookfields are friendly, caring and ever so accommodating. They are always there to help - no request has ever been any trouble. The thought and care they provide for their residents is truly brilliant. Over the Christmas period, they hosted several parties, created daily activities
for the residents and ensured that their guests had all the fun of the festive season. They excel at making the place feel like a home for all visitors; one example is providing a choice of drinks for all visitors on Christmas Day. Thank you to the entire team at Brookfields for everything you have done for my grandad. My family and I are eternally grateful.

My mum was at Brookfields for nearly a year. During that time, all the staff were so warm, friendly and caring, making personal connections with her - it was a real home for my mum, alongside providing excellent nursing input.
There was lots of fun and laughter and many activities to join in with
during the week, which helped so much socially.
The environment is a lovely one in beautiful surroundings. Every effort was made to individualise the care and nursing to the specific requirements that were needed.

I received a warm welcome on 10/11/23. The home is very pleasantly furnished and my room was comfortable. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The only downside is that often one has to wait a long time for staff to attend. I wonder whether Brookfields is understaffed.

My dad was placed in Brookfields, and he has dementia; he wasn't given long to live. I have visited the premises numerous times and can say my dad has been well cared for; his door was decorated with his name on it - a nice touch. The staff are very friendly, and my dad always looks clean and tidy.
He is well fed and cared for, the place is very posh and well maintained, and nothing seems to be
too much trouble. It's a nursing home, not a care home.

The respite care given to my Dad was wonderful and he was made to feel welcome and valued from the moment he arrived until he left. An excellent home with caring and knowledgeable staff where the emphasis is clearly on quality of care.

We felt extremely lucky to get a place for Mum at Brookfields Private Nursing Home Ltd in July this year as it is such a lovely home and the staff are truly excellent. The whole atmosphere is that of a warm, loving and very comfortable, clean home, truly a home from home.
Mum has been very happy at
Brookfields and has gained weight due to the excellent food provided each day. Mum has constant company in the lounge, where there is always entertainment provided, she loves her nails painted regularly, the music, chatting to staff and residents and really enjoyed the bell ringers.
Visiting Mum for family and friends is very pleasurable and relaxing in such lovely surroundings and nice to see the residents all happy and comfy.
All in all I can't praise the home and staff highly enough and am very grateful for the care and kindness being given to my Mum, she lived with us for 20 years so it was hard to see her go into care but I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be in the circumstances. Thank you.

My mother has been in the nursing home since June 2021. The staff are brilliant, they are professional and really care about their residents. I didn’t think my mother would settle, but the staff are great with her, and she has settled in really well. On occasions, we, as a family, take my mum out for
the day, and the staff have my mum up and ready to go. Lovely care home with brilliant staff.

My mum is staying at Brookfields for respite. She has stayed in a couple of other homes but Brookfield surpasses all others due to the way in which the staff engage and connect with the residents. I have only ever seen all the staff smiling kind , caring, helpful, polite and respectful which is so amazing.
This gives me peace of mind and confidence in the manner in which my mum is cared for and treated.
The meals always look and sound wonderful home cooked and the summer buffet sounded like a menu from a wonderful restaurant. The home looks lovely and it is clean and airy. I couldn’t be happier that my mum is staying in a lovely setting with supportive and caring staff.

My experience at Brookfields Nursing Home was the greatest. They catered to all my brother's needs and made him happy and comfortable every single day. It is a very clean and tidy during the two weeks of visiting my brother, and the staff are the loveliest people ever. Even when my brother passed, the
staff gave me hugs and offered to do as much for us as they could do. I couldn't recommend a place more than here. The garden place for the residents and visitors is well kept and looked after. Not to mention, the food was delicious. But I can not thank you all enough for everything you did for us as a family and for my brother; I will always appreciate everything you did and love you all loads.

My mother has called Brookfields home since April 2023 when she made the decision that at 93, independent living was no longer feasible. In December 2022, she spent a month at Brookfields in respite care but decided to return home. We can't say enough good things about Brookfields. I live abroad and
spent over two months visiting my mum there and was impressed by the kindness and efficiency of the staff and their genuine care for my mother. Initially, my mother was in very poor health, and the situation was serious, but she rallied thanks to excellent nursing care. She is eating and enjoying small amounts of the delicious food on offer at Brookfields, prepared by their chef. Nothing is too much trouble at Brookfields, and there's a happy, competent atmosphere. Good communication is essential, whether relatives live near or far, and Brookfields has been excellent at keeping us informed. Our family can relax knowing that our loved one is safe and well cared for.

My father moved into Brookfields Nursing Home a couple of months ago, and the difference in his physical and mental wellbeing is unbelievable and a credit to the team there. He has put on weight, his mobility has improved dramatically and generally his mood and frame of mind are very positive. The staff
are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they all have a smile on their face. The place has a very warm and welcoming feel and I am extremely happy with their standards of care which give our family peace of mind that our father is being well looked after and cared for in a safe and secure environment and undoubtedly he is very happy there. When you find yourself in a situation having to find a parent a care home, it is a stressful, emotional and unsettling time for the individual and all the family. You want the best care for a loved one. Have I made the right choice? is the question you ask yourself.
Mum has been at Brookfields for
nearly 4 months, boy I hit the jackpot!! Superb care.
The most important aspect for us as a family is the care that my mum receives. All mum's needs are met with dignity and professionalism. Holistic and individual care plans. All the staff are approachable, listen to families and genuinely care about your loved one.
Mum is not able to engage in many of the activities, but is always included. It’s inclusive, weekly varied activities for the residents. Families receive a weekly bulletin of activities and news. The staff are a credit to the home. Excellent team of staff who have welcomed Mum and genuinely care about her well being.

Dad has been at Brookfields for almost six months. His care has been wonderful in all ways and he is now settled and happy. As soon as you walk in the door there is an air of calm efficiency by all staff which leaves you knowing that your loved one is being cared for in the best way possible. All of
the staff are so welcoming and friendly and there are lots of activities for the residents to get involved in. If you’re looking for a care home to cater for all the needs of a treasured member of your family then Brookfields should be top of your list!

Just visited Mum on 2nd/3rd July. She has been at Brookfields now since September 2021, and has really settled well into life there, and considers Brookfields her home, and part of the Brookfields family.
Mum is very well cared for, comfortable and safe; she has a wonderful rapport with all the staff,
which is wonderful to see on our visits.
As visitors we are made welcome, offered tea and coffee, and have a chat with the staff, some of whom we've got to know. Brookfields does really feel like a big family (but in a good way!).
I feel we've found the best possible place for Mum now that she is unable to live independently.

This is the most wonderful place and we are so lucky.
My mother deteriorated very quickly last week and the staff found her a bed and even remembered it was the room my father had been in.
The care is just stunning and the communication is good- the staff genuinely love and cares for the residents-
clinical and non clinical.
Thank you so so much for being there- you are literally a godsend.

As I am based in North London, my comments are those resulting from my three weekly visits, where I stay in the local area for three days - visiting my mother on each of those days. When in London, my contact is limited to twice weekly phone calls. I am therefore not able to address all of the sections.
When visiting Brookfields, the atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. I am therefore in all circumstances, happy for my mother to be a resident of the nursing home.

Our father has been a resident of Brookfield for only a few weeks, however during that time he has improved enormously.
The care he's receiving is second to none, the staff are so so friendly, professional and so, so polite, nothing appears to be a problem for any of them. The food is excellent, there
are plenty of activities to occupy the residents and the environment is so homely. When my time comes to be cared for I certainly hope I find myself in a place like Brookfield.
Brookfield is a credit to all involved and you should be proud of what you have created.

I qualified in 1991 and went on to work in a local nursing home. Over the 29 years I have worked as a nurse or manager in local homes, I found the best one (Brookfields) in August 2018.
