Established in 1968 by the Turner family, Brookfields Private Nursing Home provides professional Nursing care for both ladies and gentlemen requiring permanent or short-stay Residential, Recuperation, Respite or End of Life needs.

Their home offers high-quality individual accommodation all with en-suite facilities, TV and phone point and all the facilities that you would expect of a quality Nursing Home.

The care provided is individual, with residents free to choose their daily routine and their amount of involvement in the daily activities of Brookfields. Residents also benefit from easy access to the local community, beautiful gardens and ample parking for visiting loved ones.

They have a very stable workforce which ensures a good continuity of care, with many staff having been employed by Brookfields for more than 15 years.

Brookfields greatest asset is their staff, who work hard to create a genuine rapport with their guests and residents whilst looking after their needs in a totally professional way. Care in the truest meaning of the word.

Mum has been a resident at Brookfields for 2 1/2 years and although, at times, she would like to be in her own home, she has been very well cared for and supported from day 1. At 98 she is very frail and the cared provided for her has been excellent and always treated with respect and a positive manner.
The staff are excellent and always on hand . Mum is generally happy and knows she is in a safe and supportive environment. I have been extremely happy with the care provided and would recommend Brookfields.

The staff are very kind, helpful and enjoy a chat and giggle with residents. They are considerate of individual needs and try to accommodate wherever possible.
The food is home-made from fresh produce and well varied.

I have always wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I trained in Derby in 1988 at the age of 17 which was the soonest I could train at both the DRI and City Hospital. I qualified in 1991 and went on to work in a local nursing home. Over the 29 years I have worked as a nurse or manager in local homes, I found the best one (Brookfields) in August 2018.
