Based in the village of Ewerby, just four miles east of Sleaford, Lincolnshire, the care home offers palliative, nursing, and all levels of residential and dementia care, with comfort and friendship. Respite care can also be offered if a vacancy arises.

Having originally been a vicarage, it retains many beautiful features, with en-suites in most bedrooms. It is set in extensive grounds and is within walking distance of the church and a pub.

The team respect, and are sensitive to, individual needs, wishes and choices of all residents. The team welcome all residents and their families and friends who wish to be involved in making the home a better place to live.

Cleanliness is exceptional, always smells clean, all common areas are tidy, feels like home. All the staff are amazing, and treat everyone with great care and respect. Mum's room was a great care and respect. Mum's room was a great size, we could and did personalise the room with photos and pictures,
knick nacks and her own bed linen. The food was excellent, with good portions and a good variety and choice. I would highly recommend the home, it really is a home-from-home.

Although Mum was only at St Andrews for the last few weeks of her long life, the level of care, thoughtfulness, sensitivity and respect that she received was extraordinary. The St Andrews Team extended these values to my husband and me as well.
I would have no hesitation in recommending St Andrews
as the perfect care home.

Whilst there are some areas for improvement, the staff and management have been very accommodating and friendly. When issues arrive they are there to sort it and to ensure my parents are settled and well called for. The friendly atmosphere and homely feel are great and different to my experiences with
other homes. It is hard to satisfy everyone with meal choices however, the staff are going above and beyond to ensure my mother can have her preferred food choices. Dad is being given a good quality of life that includes inclusion in activities even though he is extremely frail. There is a definite caring attitude from most staff and some individuals are exceptional.

The staff are very friendly and appear to really care for the residents. They are always available for information, which they give freely. The rooms are clean and bright, and today in the lounge area, the staff engaged the residents with ball games and quizzes. This fostered a very happy and positive
atmosphere, and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Our lovely Mum, who suffered from dementia, was a resident at St. Andrews for nearly 3 years. She sadly lost her battle with the horrible disease at the end of February.
In all of Mum's time in their care she has been supported, cared for and made to feel safe, when being in her own home no longer
did, and felt very much loved.
The care and compassion shown to Mum and to us, especially during Mum's final months.
Is something we will be forever grateful for.
St. Andrews was recommended to us by the family of a former resident as a care home, that couldn’t be bettered.
Certainly from our family's point of view, that has been our experience too.

We chose St Andrews Nursing & Care Home after looking at four or five others for our mum almost three years ago, here the staff were all very friendly, approachable and accommodating, answering all of our questions and helping in any way they could.
We had also asked around friends and family and
had actually been recommended St Andrews by 4 different people.
St Andrews just felt to be the ideal home from home for our mum who had developed dementia and had a few medical needs to consider, she settled here really quickly, helped by the staff all being so caring.
Mum passed away recently and the care was always good but in her last few weeks was exceptional.

Mum has needed high-level living support for the past two years following the stroke. We had chosen St Andrew's for its location, surroundings and friendly atmosphere. Never one to rush into a review (as first impressions can change). I believe now is the time to describe our experience and recommend
this fabulous little place to anyone looking for the personal touch in a caring environment. First and foremost, the kindness shown by the staff is amazing. Never a cross word (in some challenging situations), always respectful, positive and upbeat, encouraging wellbeing and allowing us to personalise Mum's living space. Always patient and understanding, attentive and knowledgeable and prepared to help families new to the care system navigate the process. I live a long distance away and always feel able to contact staff and keep informed remotely. The blessing is that the transition between living care and nursing care is seamless, so when needs change the service steps in to provide the right support. Fab!

Management and carers are always available to discuss the ongoing situation.
Visit whenever we want, within normal daytime hours, e.g. any time between 10 am and 6 pm, any day of the week.

My cousin has been in St Andrews for some years now. I am unable to visit her as often as I would like but I know that she is in a comfortable and caring care home. The environment at the home is welcoming, clean, and tidy and a place that my cousin settled into very quickly. She is and has been difficult
at times, although I know she will always give the staff a smile so that they know underneath her change of personality (she was always a very gentle lady), there is a kind and sweet person who has only changed sometimes because of her dementia. The staff are always so kind and gentle with her and provide such a very settled environment. There are plenty of activities for those who would like to participate and very nice food, delicious and well presented. I would thoroughly recommend St Andrews.

Staff are always friendly and willing to help you get relative ready for going out. Staff are very patient with my mum and do their best to calm her when she needs this. Management is happy to have meetings to discuss medications and behaviours. New activities staff are organising many activities, including
a local vicar who now comes to the home to give communion. Something important to my mum as a lifetime church attender. Resident and relative meetings have been happening, and I have been kept up to date with how the home is managed, staffing levels and activities.
All staff are willing to talk to me when I am concerned - I know they have listened to my concerns and treat Mum with kindness. Mum’s behaviour can be challenging, but all the staff do their best to enter her world and put her mind at rest.
I am happy and grateful for the care all staff give my mum.

From making the first phone call to meeting the staff in person, I had no doubt that St Andrew's was the right place for my parents.
The building is clean and fresh and decorated beautifully, and the food has that home-cooked taste and variety of dishes.
Sadly Mum passed away not long after moving
in, but the staff have been amazing in providing support to Dad and me. To walk into the home and be greeted by smiles and hugs is amazing.

Mum visited to take a look around the home on Monday and loved one of the rooms available so much that she moved in on Wednesday for respite for two weeks. Mum liked it so much she is now staying permanently.
It is hard for someone to adapt overnight to being in a home, but all the staff have supported
Mum and the family to help settle her in, which will take a few weeks, but I am confident things will settle down, and Mum will be very happy here.
There is a choice of different food daily, and a nice pudding to follow for dinner, which is served at lunchtime, and sandwiches and cake or similar at tea time. Residents can ask for food at any time if they so wish.
We, as a family, are very happy with what we have experienced at St Andrew's in the short time Mum has lived there - nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I would highly recommend this home.

My mother-in-law was a resident for over three years at St Andrew's. She was so well looked after and warmly cared for. The staff, from management to the tea lady, including the night staff, were always full of laughter and love. When it came to the end of her life, I really felt that my mother-in-law
had spent her last few years in happiness (relative to old age and dementia). The staff brought out all the joy she had in her, and they joked together.
We were particularly touched by the sensitivity of all involved when we sat by her bedside in her last moments. They turned a trying time in our lives into one of elevation that can be found at such unique moments. Their patience and continued compassion and empathy at all times was an elevating experience which we will always remember. We can never thank them enough and only hope they will be as lucky as we were in their time of grief.

My grandfather stayed at St Andrew's from the beginning of February until early May 2023. The care he received was nothing other than exceptional. The staff were incredibly caring and patient. The carers, kitchen and cleaning staff were so attentive to our needs during a very difficult time, and as
a heartbroken family, we will never forget their help and kindness.
My grandfather had a lovely, bright corner room, which was nice and quiet for him. The home is very clean; it does not have a 'care home' smell. The meals all looked very healthy and balanced. I really enjoyed visiting my grandfather and getting to know the staff and other residents. It does have a 'home from home' feel about it. The activities always looked like lots of fun; however, my grandfather wasn't one to participate.
Thank you to each and every one of you - although it has very sad memories, the laughter, warmth, strength and friendliness of the team kept our family all going.

My recently deceased dad was in St Andrews for three months, and the staff were amazing with both him and us, his family. They treated us all with much compassion, showing us love and support through difficult times. The home felt warm and comfortable; Dad was treated with respect. They even provided
us with food and a room with a bed towards the end. I cannot find fault with anything at all. They even turned up in the evening at my mother's home when they could not contact her by telephone to check that she was okay. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were kept updated every time we went.
The residents also seemed very settled, and the few that we conversed with also said that they enjoyed living there.
All in all, we would recommend St Andrews to anyone who needed the services they offered.

My husband is so well cared for at St Andrew's; it gives me peace of mind. On his 90th birthday last year, they made a real fuss of him and made him a big birthday cake with candles on it. He is in bed now, so they brought it to his room singing Happy Birthday, and even with advanced Dementia, you could
tell he was pleased, and he blew the candles out. The staff, without exception, are wonderful.

My husband is the “new boy” having been there only five weeks, so there have been some “teething” problems with him (nothing to do with the home or his care) during the difficult transition, but the staff have been nothing but supportive, and I’m so grateful and relieved knowing that he in safe and
very capable hands.
St Andrew's is a lovely, homely place, set in well-kept grounds, nicely furnished and very clean. I consider myself fortunate to have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that my husband is being well cared for
