Eccleshare Court is a purpose-built care home offering nursing, residential and specialist dementia care. The home is located in the quiet residential area of Hartsholme in Lincoln, close to Hartsholme Country Park.

The home features a dementia friendly village with its very own pub, café, shop, hairdressers and nail bar. The facilities provide the opportunity to offer person centred activities in themed areas of the care home. Residents can enjoy dominoes and games in the pub, pampering in the nail bar and socialising and reminiscing over tea and cakes in the café.

The recently refurbished home offers spacious accommodation and each self-contained flat has a kitchenette, sitting area and WC. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with their own furniture. The newly refurbished lounges have a warm, homely feel and themed areas in corridors have been thoughtfully designed to reflect residents' interests and to stimulate reminiscing.

Following an accident in November 2018 I was transferred from hospital to Eccleshare court. Was my experience at Eccleshare court positive? Yes, it was. I was treated with kindness and encouragement, oh and I must add laughter (laughter is a great healer!). I am at home now and I look back on my time
at Eccleshare Court. I remember wonderful people doing a wonderful job. Would I recommend Eccleshare Court? Of course, I would!

Very happy with the accommodation. However, the wet room is very cold indeed (February). A grab bar vertical would be very helpful placed to the left of the shower control giving a great sense of security. A suckered basket above shower control would be extremely useful for shampoo/shower gel/sponges/cloths
and some hooks for towels/dressing gowns etc on the back of the door are an essential requirement.

My husband went into Eccleshare Court in May 2015 after being in the stroke unit at the local hospital for two months.
He was always treated with care and dignity until his death in December 2019.
As well as my husband's care, the staff were very friendly and helpful and always made me and the family
very welcome.

My Aunt has been a resident at Eccleshare Court for over 7 years.
The home today is totally different from what it was over 2 years ago; appointing a new care home manager that is passionate, energetic and dedicated to caring for residents and the staff was an instrumental factor in this change. The
care home staff work very very hard to ensure the best possible care is given to residents and it is lovely to see continuity of care being given by the same people, as this is really important to residents. The home is spotlessly clean, home cooked food available everyday, activities and social outings too.
Eccleshare Court is my Aunties home, she is happy, settled and I know she is safe. I receive regular updates on her care and I am always made to feel welcome when I visit. I am actively encouraged to join in activities and I thank everyone for the care and love they give, not only to my Aunt but to the other residents as well. This home is a very special one!

I was sent to Eccleshare Court after a stroke for respite care and at that time I was pretty much immobile.
The lovely room and friendly, caring staff made me feel very welcome and I felt that I was leaving many good friends behind when I left for home.
It was my birthday on the day after I arrived
and catering staff rustled up a birthday cake, which was a very nice gesture.

Eccleshare Court is a lovely place. All the staff are so friendly and caring. They all help each other to give the residents the best possible care.
My mother in law was there for respite care and she was encouraged to join in with activities.
Something that she wouldn't normally do.
She thoroughly
enjoyed her stay there and tells everyone she wants to be a resident there when the time comes.

Respite care after hip fracture. A positive experience. Lovely rooms. Staff very busy but kind and caring. Enjoyed being able to access local park for a change of scene. Lovely sunny cared for garden. Able to have meals in my own room - good menu choice.

My father has been a resident of this care home since July 2017. The quality of care is very good and the staff are excellent. My father has Alzheimer's and views the care facility as his home. We have no concerns regarding his care and were happy to find this "gem" after much research.

My Dad became a resident from May 2016, due to cancer, dementia and ongoing failing health, until his death in June 2018.
Staff members took good care of my Dad.
He was confined to bed and needed 24 hours nursing care, and that is exactly what was given.
With such kind, caring and compassionate people,
Eccleshare Court has a staff to treasure.
The family were always made welcome.
The nurses were always willing to answer any concerns that you had.

I spent 4 and a half weeks in rehabilitation following an operation in hospital for cancer. I found the home extremely clean, the room was lovely along with the food and the staff. I made great progress during my stay enjoying the company of the staff who treated me very kindly and helped me become
more independent. The kitchen staff also made me special dishes as I was unable to eat everything due to my operation. I was a non-paying user but well satisfied, excellent home.

Dad has settled in very well due to the care and commitment of the staff and management. Family members visiting are made to feel very welcome and are actively encouraged to join in with social activities and to dine with residents. All of dad's needs are met and the family is regularly approached
for supplementary information or to be actively involved in facilitating meeting the needs of dad and any changes to his care that may be required as and when needed.

When we started our search to find a home for mum, we toured all the care homes in Lincoln. Eccleshare Court stood head and shoulders above the rest. It was not only the facilities that we had been impressed by, but the atmosphere and staff were most welcoming. We were delighted to get mum in and every
effort was made by the staff to make her welcome and feel at home. She has now been there for nine months and our decision to choose Eccleshare Court was the right one. We, as a family, could not have asked for more!

My mother was in this home for 12 weeks after a bad fall. Every member of staff from reception to all the nursing staff and everyone else working here were extremely helpful, well presented and polite.
My mum has been in two homes before but I can say with 100% confidence this one is an absolute treasure.
Hopefully, my mum won't need a care home in the future but if she does I know Eccleshare Court Care Home is where she will be best cared for and looked after.

The difficult decision was made to move my father into residential care after my mother died a couple of months ago.
It was a very emotional time for the family.
However, Dad has settled well.
He has a lovely flat with lots of room for his favourite pieces of furniture, a kitchenette with a sink
and a fridge and also a wet room.
Dad suffers from dementia and quite often forgets things.
He doesn't forget to go down to the dining room for his meals though!
He says the food is good (he was a chef all his working life so that's a huge accolade) and he enjoys the company of other residents in the dining room.
However, he could take his meals in his room if he wanted to.
There is a daily care plan in his room, so we can see when we visit him how his day's going. He might have been sitting in the garden or have gone out on a trip.
It tells us what he's eaten if he's shaved, how many cups of tea he's had.
The care is marvellous and all the staff are friendly and loving.

Eccleshare Court has improved in its care quality since Country Court Care acquired this home last year. The staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy working there. The place is very clean and tidy and the residents are engaged in a number of activities which are well organised.

I would like to thank the manageress and her team for persevering with my mother when she came into the home. Their approach and the fact they gave her time to settle in without being judgemental over her behaviour, gave my family the confidence that mum was in the best place to meet her needs. The
fact she is happy there and settled is a great comfort to us, after what has been a very difficult time.

Lisa is our manager here at Eccleshare Court. Lisa has been with Country Court for over 15 years, previously managing Swanholme Court and working as Deputy Manager at its sister home Eccleshare Court. Her hard work and dedication were recognised with a staff award for treating residents, staff & relatives with dignity, respect, care & compassion.

David Stacey

Job Title: RMN Nurse

Joined: 2018

David joined Eccleshare Court in April 2018, after working as an agency nurse and had done some shifts at Eccleshare over the previous 2-3 months. He really liked the home, so he applied for a permanent role. Prior to this, he worked for United Health in care homes in Lincoln and Scunthorpe so he was familiar with the care home environment.


David felt that he could use his skills in a more meaningful way in a care home, as nurses have much more time with people and don’t just treat them and move them on as quickly as possible. In a care home you get to know a person’s medical history but also their personal background enabling you to build long term relationships not just with them but their families too. You make connections with people that you just don’t get working in acute care. The goal here is about enabling people to have the best possible quality of life.

Noel is our Chef Manager at Eccleshare Court he is a highly skilled chef with a background in catering onboard cruise ships.
Noel works closely with the care team, residents and their families to understand everyone's individual preferences and nutrition needs. He takes care to ensure that he asks for feedback by speaking to residents regularly about their meals.


Noel and his team provide fresh cakes every day in our coffee shop for residents to enjoy with their visitors. Noel is especially creative with celebration cakes for birthdays and special events and ensures that every resident has a personalised birthday cake.
