Cathedral Care Centre in Lincoln is located with beautiful views of the Cathedral and offers caring and supportive staff.

It accepts residents for long-term, short term, day care, convalescence and holiday stays with provision for respite care, as well as transitional care helping people move from hospital back to their own homes.

Trained, caring staff encourage independence in residents wherever possible, and offer a range of activities within the home to engage and entertain the residents. The convenient location of the care home allows the more independent residents to access all that the beautiful city of Lincoln has to offer.

The home cooked food by trained chefs, offers residents a diverse and healthy menu to support good brain and body function that can be lacking in the elderly.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at this care home, and that is for all the staff - truly dedicated, professional and people-centred, they provide a level of care that is outstanding, in fact, this should be an additional tick box for the staff rating below.
All the needs of my father were met
as staff went above and beyond every hour of every day and no amount of thanks will ever say enough. It is a well maintained and cared for place with excellent rooms and facilities. Spacious and homely, I highly recommend Cathedral Care Centre.

I found from my telephone enquiry right through to collecting Mum at the end of her stay, the staff were all very welcoming, friendly, treated Mum with dignity. Couldn't do anything without care and concern. Nothing was any trouble. Food was good, home clean and lovely. Light, tastefully decorated and
comfy furniture. Thank you.

The staff are friendly and helpful.
Manager spends time to explain the care and is approachable.
The property is well kept and clean.
Nice to see residents stimulated with board games.
I would have liked to have the opportunity for a waterproof apron on my father due to his top being wet from
dribbling, he could have had sores from this.

Mum has been a resident of Cathedral Nursing Home now for four and a half years. She is well cared for from staff who treat her with dignity and obvious affection. Always clean and checked regularly to see if she needs changing. Her medical needs are met and any changes are reported to me. She enjoys
the food on offer which has recently had lots of changes to the menu. Rooms are cleaned daily and I understand decorating and new furniture will start at the end of the month. The staff are caring and engage with the residents. I can access the office to see the manager as her door is generally open.

My godmother is a resident at this home, and every time I visit she is always neatly dressed and looks very clean, she tells me she is showered every morning, she enjoys the cooked breakfasts to start the day, then she sits in the lounge with the friends she has made at the home and chats, watches tv
or joins in with activities.
The staff are all professional and friendly, every time I visit the home is doing something different to keep the residents happy and occupied.
As a family, we feel that we can approach staff and management if we have an issue or need updating on anything.
Staff always greet us with a smile and ask how we are, and the home doesn't appear to use any agency staff as some homes do.

My uncle is very happy here and is made to feel at home by all the fantastic staff. The service they provide is second to none and would highly recommend this nursing home. The facilities they provide are excellent and the activities they provide are enjoyed by everyone.

The care provided to my mother in the care home has enabled her to regain her physical health and to safely manage her dementia. Whilst, like many she would prefer to be at home, she acknowledges and accepts that she can’t manage at home and she is doing so well because “the staff are so good to me”.
I have witnessed a strong focus on individualised care, respect and dignity with good supervision of both staff and patients. During my visits I have observed real compassion, understanding and care being provided to the residents. I have seen staff engage with and listen to relatives and friends, I have noticed that staff not only know every resident by name, but also every relative and visitor. I have seen the staff confidently and carefully managing individuals in a way that de-escalates and manages challenging behaviours in the least restrictive and calming way.

Mum has been at the Cathedral Nursing home for one year and eight months approx. Over the last 12 months, there has been a noticed improvement with the day to day running of the home, and I feel mums general appearance has improved and she always looks clean and tidy. This I do know is not an easy thing
to do. I do understand that the work they do at the home is not easy as I did try to look after mum at her home before personnel care became an issue. The staff are always good to mum and do the best they can for her. After what I have seen in the media and on tv the way some carers have treated residents it does make you worried for your loved ones, but I must say that I do observe how the staff treat the residents and what I have seen, I have no problems with the home and long may it stay that way.
