Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital care home is set among mature gardens and open fields, near the rural market town of Holbeach.

The Hospital Trust was formed in 1988 in response to the local health authority's intention to close Holbeach Hospital. The local community, working with the health authority and raising funds, formed the Holbeach and East Elloe Trust, a charitable organisation that continues to receive support from the community.

The Trust now provides beds for use by local GPs (Anne Waltham Unit), nursing and re-ablement beds. Staff take the time to get to know residents and the families to ensure highly personalised care within a home from home environment.

  • The home welcomes family and friends to visit relatives at any time; they believe visitors are an essential part of the care team and very important to the well-being of the residents. Children and babies are welcome to accompany their parents when visiting.
    Well-behaved pets also welcome to visit as long as they have had vaccinations.


    There is free parking at the hospital for visitors, a visitors toilet and a family room where refreshments can be made. Visitors are welcome to join their relative wherever they wish; whether that is in their own room or in one of the lounges.

I would just like to thank the nursing home and staff for all the love, care and attention they gave my Mam on her time spent in the nursing home.
Sadly she passed away on Thursday afternoon after a long illness.
I would give it 10 out of 10.

My mother was there for 5 1/5 years before she passed away and was looked after impeccably by all the staff there. The carers looked after her as if it was their own mother.

My dad came to the home for the last 3 weeks if his life and I could not wish for a better team to care for him, they were very supportive to my mum and I they even lent a shoulder to cry on, we will be eternally grateful to them.

I qualified as a Nurse in 1986. Following my qualification, I worked as a Staff Nurse in a Surgical Ward with the NHS, before moving to Lincolnshire in 1992. I worked for a large national charity for 23 years, 12 of those as the Registered Manager, before being made redundant. I joined Holbeach Hospital in 2022 as Deputy Manager and was appointed as Manager in May 2023.
